Questions Hey guys, for awhile I've been using a modified version of the Sequoia Plan. However, instead of sequoias, I've been using Aeroeagles due to my current level (19, almost 20). The Route is Lima, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro (hub)<->Kinshasa<->Bangalore/Mumbai<->Shanghai (hub), Seoul, Tokyo, and Bejing. I've wanted to impliment another route originating in NA. I was hoping someone would be able to offer some insight as to what route to use. I was wondering if it would be possible to use Shanghai as a hub for both routes, and possibly open up airports in Xi'an and Sheyang for more job flow. However I thought it best to ask people who had experience for their opinions on this. I currently have 9 planes: 8 Aeroeagles, and 1 Kangaroo for events. I also have 2 pearjets in the hangar which I don't know what to do with since their range is too small for my current route. Thanks ~Ooh Shiny
Very lucky last night! My flights went all full of bux!! Though I'm low on coins now... But I earned more than 200 bux!! (or so, I lost count) ! And now I can buy another plane to trade! Hoho...
does anyone know if the planes in your hangar contribute to your airline value? i feel like upgrading your planes is a quick way to raise that value (for getting the 10M achievement), but now all 20 of my active planes are fully upgraded.
I've never looked into how much an upgraded plane adds to the value of the airline! But I don't think hangared planes count - a real life airline would count it as an asset but it's not making profit and costs money to be maintained in a hangar. Anyway, I have 40 planes in my hangar and imagine my airline value would be worth a lot more than it is. I just double checked by scraping a plane from the hangar and it made no difference to my airlines value so that confirms it!
Hi everybody, first post here. I'm on level 24 right now and figuring out whats the best way to make profit. My Main route is: LA -> NY -> London -> Delhi -> Shanghai -> Tokyo Feeders: Honolulu -> LA Mexiko City -> NY Tokyo, Manila, Seoul -> Shanghai Im running Aeroeagles, Pearjets and 5 Sequioas M. My daily profit is 250k and my highest income was 18900 per flight. What could I do better? Should I get the Tetras? They will make less profit, because they are faster than Sequioas. Or should I wait for Cloudliners and go for Sequoia, Cloudliners and a few Aeroeagles(As feeders)
Have you finished any of the non global events? You must play alot . You're also a consistent top 5 in global events
I'm wondering if this post of Faye has the info you need. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2420801&postcount=6750. Great read.
FYI...I received a response from NimbleBit regarding the local events. There are only 44 and they will correct it on the next version. No, they did not say how soon that version would be coming. And yes ExitaR, I have finished all 44 events. It kept me interested in the game longer, now I'm Global Events only until next version.
"Hello boys, I'm back!" *Drunken guy, Independence Day* Anyway, hello! So, turned out I had access to the internet over the past 4 days however.. it had some default Talk Talk settings that blocked 99% of websites. No YouTube, no forums (although I could get on the main site for some reason) no news sites even vaguely related to gaming, no po... videos.. But nothing really. Very sad. However I set up a Kangaroo to do the event and I've got past the minimum jobs, I'm around #250 I think. Since it's only small and I've used Sydney for jobs I'm able to pop on, fill up and fly out very quickly. Haven't sent any of my other planes out though, they've just been idling and I think I might let them idle a while longer, take a real break from PP and just fill out event minimums. I'm starting to get the PP blues, it's just a grind now. No sweet new routes to try out, no epic bux rewards or plane parts to fight for, no real incentive to do the buggy achievements or the local events. *sigh* I wouldn't expect an update too soon and I wouldn't expect it to contain much. At the minute NimbleBit seem very focused on their next game, an 'action' game judging by some suspiciously unsuspicious tweets. I don't remember Tiny Tower got any really massive updates (not that it was as in dire need as PP is, but I think that's partly that Tiny Tower didn't have such a large mad following; I'm sure some high-earning guys got very bored). The ideas of adding space travel, special planes like Air Force 1 or a refuelling system (I quite like the blackbird idea for getting the lowdown on the next set of weather, though it doesn't seem to suit the role. Perhaps it could forewarn you of the area the global event would be in next?) are all great but I think NimbleBit will consider them far too big changes to be added in an update, maybe they'll just incorporate it into a sequel they'll never make.
I'm gonna be sad when Port Moresby ends tomorrow cuz this has been a nice relaxing event to work on. Wonder what are the chances of getting another Class 1 city for the next event.
Yeah I know I posted this already... I really hope NimbleBit has been brainstorming on new ideas for this game. I dont see the purpose of new planes to be honest. I can see maybe: - New events (i.e. Global, Local, Weather, etc) - New cargo - New BitBook post - Unique designs. Recently, I've figured out from the Pocket Planes Wiki that each plane, whether it be P, M or C has a specific pattern for all planes. So maybe the ability to switch that pattern to another plane regardless of classification of P, M or C. Ex. If you could take an Aeroeagle-C's paintjob and place it on an Aeroeagle-M. A Tetra-P's design on a Tetra-C. An Equinox-P design onto an Equinox-M. Thoughts...
Looking at the numbers so far for the event. Lowest totals ever? Touch arcade is at 150k jobs. Coasting.
I got nostalgic when I got my Kangaroo out of the hangar. Bought the pilot a frog costume too . I did do poorly on this event though. Hopefully I'll do better in future events when not busy. I'm still wondering how to efficiently tackle class 1 airport events.
So, because I'm quite bored with PP right now I thought of running a double route(NA-EA & SA-EA) but I'd like to ask those that have experimented with this strategy already how profitable it is. This is what my plan looks like: NA-EA:LA, Chicago, Mexico City-NYC->London->Tehran->Shanghai-Seoul, Tokyo, Bejing SA-EA:Lima, Buenos Aires-Rio->Lagos->Mumbai->Bejing-Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo So basically, I'd have aeroeagles moving passagers for Shanghai from LA, Mexico City and Chicago to NYC where my Sequoias would pick them up and fly to Shanghai. On the other end, 3 other aeros would do the same thing.Same with the SA-EA route. Do you guys think there would be a problem if I'd use the same airports in EA for both routes(I'll still use 2 different airports for the layovers of each route...)?
Using the same EA airports for feeding is exactly what you should be doing! That way you have less airports (marginally better job pool) and since the jobs are for different destinations (NA/SA) there shouldn't be any conflicts. You should find adding a NA-EA route will slightly more than double your profits, because jobs going NA-EA are worth slightly more (300~ coins) than SA-EA jobs. WOOT! Not sure how good the Mexico City jobs will be though, because of the extra kink from MC to NY on top of the kink having to go via Paris/London, but it'll still be pretty damn profitable. Using one of your feeders as hubs for each route is a god damn brilliant idea as well, top notch! [[--I run 24 (eventually 32) Sequoias (no feeders) on a NA-EA and SA-EA route LA,NY -> London -> Tehran -> Tokyo/Seoul Buenos, Sau -> Kinshasa -> Mumbai -> Tokyo/Seoul Gaining 1.5-2.5 mil a day--]] I reckon you'd see similar amounts with a feeder system, it does depend how many planes you have and how often you check though.
