Once you can use Sequoias get them. Determine a long range route (preferably North America<->Asia), and stick with it. Modify as needed for world events. You will earn lots of profit.
At the moment I'm using a modified version of the Sequoia plan using Aeroeagles. I have about 7 going right now. I want to try a Na<->Asia route, but I'm not sure what the best route is for my current level (18).
The Sequoia is slower than the Fogbuster, which means lower operating costs. It also carries more deliverables (10 vs 8 in the FB). If speed is not essential, go with the Sequoia for higher profits per flight. If profits are not essential, the Fogbuster will make the delivery much more quickly. For example, my standard long-distance run is LA -> NY -> Paris -> Tehran -> Shanghai. This takes a little over 1 hour in a Fogbuster and a little under 2 hours in a Sequoia. Bookmark the following link: http://www.therustysnowman.com/proj/pocketplanes.php The tools are quite useful. For example, I've been running the current event in Port Moresby by sending loaded Sequoias & Cyclones to Jakarta and then using my Kangaroos and Mohawks to shuttle stuff to Port Moresby via Darwin. Then I checked the tools on that site and discovered that I could fly the Mohawks directly from Manila to Port Moresby (but not the Kangaroos). I'm not going to change my strategy, but now I know a good alternative in case Jakarta shuts down during the event. Woo hoo, I've moved into 2nd place! I need a life, seriously.
Whoa... You guys are awesome! It's much of a hassle for me to even enter the top 10 chart... I'm just happy with what I am...
Well, I might drop out of the top 10 since the game is only counting about 1 in every 10 jobs I deliver for some reason. I sent 10 kangaroos in a loop 2 times and I only got credit for about 8 jobs. Not sure how that works.
I think it took the server sometime to update... Because like the last event, I had my reward after 20 mins after the event ended ... I dunno just my 2 cents
I'll try to send 40 kangaroos too tomorrow to try and find out if jobs are lost or if they sever really updates very slow. Bummer if the jobs are lost
Hmmm kinda makes you wonder about job counts for jobs that arrive within an hour of a Global Event ending.
I really hope NimbleBit has been brainstorming on new ideas for this game. I dont see the purpose of new planes to be honest. I can see maybe: - New events (i.e. Global, Local, Weather, etc) - New cargo - New BitBook post - Unique designs. Recently, I've figured out from the Pocket Planes Wiki that each plane, whether it be P, M or C has a specific pattern for all planes. So maybe the ability to switch that pattern to another plane regardless of classification of P, M or C. Ex. If you could take an Aeroeagle-C's paintjob and place it on an Aeroeagle-M. A Tetra-P's design on a Tetra-C. An Equinox-P design onto an Equinox-M. Thoughts...
Hey everybody, I've posted something similar to this a few weeks back, but it's an itch that has not gone away and I need your help. I have been working on the 45 local event list and I'm stuck at 44. I'm posting the list of events I have jobs completed for and looking for anybody who might see the event I'm missing. Thanks for checking. I got just over 20000 by flying a Sequoia full of Tokyo jobs to Seoul, let it land there, and fly to Tokyo.
sent my blimp on a long journey between shanghai and bejing, the day it gets back will be the day after my college apps are due
I did look and they list these 44 + 3 events that were global events (London Games, Computer Failure, Comic Con)
