Try starting in Australia. 2k+ coins is pure joy until it is wiped out by the agonizing disappointment that it would take years before I can actually fly people there.

The time hack works! Set time ahead by an hour or so, go into pp leave and reset time. All planes will have landed. Great way to make lots of coins.

Get ready to spend some coins to reopen your airport(s) because they will be burning down shortly.

Edit: Tinkering with the time will close your airports!

    Guys look at game centre!!
Some one called puff has suddenly got to level 92..
Level 92 that fast is 100% impossible, imagine how messed up his game is going to be haha.

Still it does bring up a point that if people are going to be extreme like this why start off and release a new game where the leader boards are THAT VULNERABLE. So pretty much in a couple of days pocket planes leader boards have allready become an untrustworthy competition, except maybe just among friends...

The thing is I can understand people changing clocks here and there, people travel time zones in real life, people might be testing apps changing the clock etc, heck even a kid changing it by a couple of hours isn't even a big deal and all of this will affect tiny planes... I can think of many legitimate reasons...

But level 92??? Something tells me that guy wants to cheat the leader boards just to be in first place for the epeen which in my mind crosses the line.

How do you know the level 92 didn't just buy a crapload of bucks, and expand like mad? Leaderboards are always pretty much a joke with a freemium game, except between friends.

I have 10 planes (1 to 3 person holding capacity, had a 4 person one but it was costing too much to run, put it out of commission until I expand out more) and all of my airports are on the west coast from Calgary down to Chihuahua. I currently have 334 jobs to Calgary done. I haven't been doing much layover stuff, just carting people from one place to the other and taking and Calgary job that show ups. I'm almost level 11. Just keep at it and you'll be racking up those jobs!

Thats ridiculous. The guy just bought the game to cheat and hack it to show off whereas I buy games to actually play and progress!

It's Allmost a philosophical discussion that could be created from this, how far is too far and who's at fault... The one who cheats, or the one who creates the ability to carry out said cheat where it could be avoided.

If it went on the system clock of a server, or the game set its in game clock to the first time one plays pocket planes, and locks it internally from there then I suppose this could have been avoided.

But on the off chance some one has bought enough bucks to boost themselves that far how much money would they have actually needed to pay to get that far? And if that is the case should some one decide that there is a 24 hour time limit on a maximum ammount of IAP within any app in that particular time. It could be argued in that case for the responsibility lying with apple...

But I doubt some one would pay that much real money into a free game in such a short space of time... Right?
I mean, who has that kind of money!

I have heard them referred to as whales, a tiny minority of users whose huge spending drives the freemium economy.

I plan to stay up most of the night playing Pocket
Planes to get a head start above the sleeping users in the TA group so I can hopefully bump up my score on the Crew leaderboard!

Right now my strategy is to stretch out my airports in a really long line so I can easily chain deliveries from end to end. New York to Whitehorse deliveries are pretty profitable for my stage in the game.

I imagine a trans-American airport string would be incredibly lucrative. xD
When I can afford to chain New York to Rio de Janeiro, maybe then I can start worrying about Europe.

Don't know where you are but be prepared for a long night. I have 135 and I'm sitting outside the Top 100.

-points at the advertise button at the calgary airport's upgrade screen- That highly increases the amount of travel too that city.

Can you expand that fast even if you buy hundreds of dollars of bux?

You can't get airports until you level up and you only level up (legitimately) through play, right?
You could operate hundreds of planes maybe...but that kind of management would be almost impossible in 2 days time I think. Plus - there's the time needed just to exchange bux for coins to buy airplane slots and airports.

I think level 92 after 2 days of release sounds pretty darn fishy.

Does anybody have an idea of what a good airplane/airport ratio is? Of course, it depends on your strategy, but I'd like to take a poll anyways.

I have an 8:12 ratio of airplanes to airports.
