Miami Flight Crew You have a nice setup there! Too complicated for me to manage feeders to 3 different cities, I just have the one (New York) and the layovers do pile up. I have full incoming planes just sitting there waiting to unload as soon as a batch of Miami jobs leave. My frustration with this event is that my job list are either People heavy or Cargo heavy so my big planes sit waiting for the other type. Haven't put great focus on this event, spent much of my time yesterday playing Mafia Wars and that is another time sink! ^_^ Here's the Top 10 line up: 1. 1329 2. 1230 3. 1182 4. 924 5. 759 6. 745 7. 712 8. 662 9. 573 10. 535
Which planes should I aim for? Hey peeps my first post on here, let me first say I haven't put this game down since I got it,amazing! I'm on level 12, 8 plane slots and all class 2+3 airports(la,new York,Lima,Mexico,Atlanta,Dallas,Chicago,Detroit, miami) I'm on touch arcades flight crew at position 456 I think be I'm lacking funds and only have 70 bux. What planes should I be saving for? Any advice would be great
Aeroeagles and sequoias are the main goals unless you play nonstop(able to frequently check in to reload planes), then you may like cyclones. If you are impatient to get a direct flight across the Atlantic, Pearjets are you first option there if you upgrade their weight/range. I personally used Pearjets, but they are just sitting, rusting, but I still use my aeroeagles along side my sequoias and cyclones.
Save for the Aeroeagles. I think you get them at level 14 or 16. Upgrade their weight. Only upgrade the range if you need to. I'd start closing your blue airports down and using only red. The only blue airport I have is Honolulu.
Re: Thanks for all the advice, should I start closing blue airports when my planes have the distance to reach between the red ones?im talking just in north America as I can't do an translantic crossing yet.
My first advice is be patient. Save your money for airplane slots and your bux for better planes. For me the level 10-16 was the hardest. My second advice is listen to {:L.S:} & Bluebear88. I went for straight to Aeroeagles myself from Birchcrafts. The bux I saved from not buying Equinox and Pearjets enabled me to buy 3-4 Aeroeagles immediately upon reaching lvl 16. Faye taught me to skip the Pearjets and go for Aeroeagles
Yeah, sorry. Once you're able to go transatlantic start closing your blue. I think the Aeros will need a full range upgrade to go from US to Europe. Once you get bigger planes like the Sequioa or Cyclone I don't think they will. I used to fully upgrade the range before realising I was wasting 100s of bux on pointless upgrades.
Here's my advice (from a level 41 player): Don't open too many airports. In the beginning, I would max out my airports, opening a new one at every level increase. But once I closed a few, I found it much easier to fill planes for the 25% bonus. For example, at level 12, I'd work with no more than about 8 airports, of your 17 possible. Currently I have 23 airports (of 46 max), but I'm considering closing a few since I got the 200 million people achievement. Keep your P and C capacity balanced. That means avoiding planes like a Mohawk-M, Pearjet-M, Tetra-M or Cloudliner-M with unequal P and C slots. You can have equal number of P or C aircraft, or stick to M aircraft with equal capacity. I'm now leaning towards an all-M fleet, as I don't have dedicated routes. Players who have that style of play will often use pairs of Ps and Cs on their routes. Faster aircraft are not always better. You get more profit per flight from slower aircraft, which is good if you are not playing continuously. In that case, faster aircraft generate more profit per hour, but need lots of attention to keep them in the air. This is why many players here prefer Sequoias and Aeroeagles. Layovers are your friend, especially once you start to use larger aircraft. Almost all of my airports are level 3 capacity so that I can have plenty of layovers to work with. You want to make as many final deliveries as possible with the 25% bonus, and you don't want to wait for job refreshes too much. Therefore, a pool of layovers that wait indefinitely at your airports are useful to fill your planes. Generally, you'll want to have most of your airports as class 3. The only class 2 (blue) airports I have permanently open are Honolulu and Sydney, because they originate some nice high-fare jobs to the opposite side of the world. Even after you start acquiring class 3 planes, keep lots of class 2 aircraft in your fleet, plus a couple of slots for class 1 planes to handle events and achievements. I have 25 planes: 3 Cyclones, 7 Sequoias, 14 Aeroeagles, and 1 Blimp. I think if I was focused on earning coins I might have more larger planes, but right now I'm mostly working on individual events, and I find it easier to move Aeroeagles around for them. Next time we have a class 1 global event, I'd swap out a couple of Aeroeagles for Kangaroos, to have 3 planes working the class 1 city. Hope this helps!
I just witnessed about ten layovers disappear. I guess I had exceeded the max limit of layovers in Tehran. I was watching the screen when it happened too so I know I'm not just imagining it lol One second I had a bunch of LA jobs, the screen blinked and then I had no jobs for LA... On a different topic, I was also looking at my profits per hour for each plane. All my planes have between 3 and 4 days of flight time so their profits per hour are fairly exemplary of what they are actually producing. I have a ton of Sequoias and only one cyclone, all my planes are M. The Cyclone is averaging 1000 coins more per hour than all my Sequoias and my single Tetra-M is averaging the same as the Sequoias.
I sure hope so--I get about a dozen crashes a day, and I want confirmation that the achievement bugs are fixed before I start Easter Island, Punta Arenas, etc. for a third time...
Dammit! I wanted to close Miami after 70 jobs. The map was centered in Tokyo, I did go a bit too fast selecting the airport and mistakenly closed Chicago, one of my main airports, fully upgraded with dozens of layovers. Well, no biggie...
Oddity. Four airports. Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico, and New York. Set a fully loaded Aeroeagle from each to Miami this morning. 6 x 4 = 24 right. Job total tonight when I checked is 12. I know they were full as each got the 25% bonus. Yet I got credit for 12 jobs not 24.
I really hate the job counters, they seem to not count lots of peoples jobs. I always send all of my planes to the event city an hour before an event ends, they all arrive and my job counter never increases. Many cases I have been ranked around #55 or so before it ends and when I send all of my planes in, the amount of jobs delivered should bump me up into the top 50. But when I get my prize I've usually fallen to #60, and my jobs never updated. It would be great if the job counters worked like a local event's counter, that way we're not waiting for hours to see if it counted half of our jobs or not.
Upside down plane!! I've just had a plane set off upside down and there was siren and the characters mouths wide open.anyone else had this? Im on my iPad and won't let me upload the picture I took.thought it might have something to do with me turning the screen round as I set off but I can't seem to recreate it.
It's never happened to me but many people have had it happen with them. I don't think there is anything bad that happens with it, just a cool Easter egg I guess. It shouldn't be because of turning your iPad, it just rarely happens.
Thanks But I must say Faye - for someone who's not putting great focus on this event, it's interesting to see your name pop up on the top 10 leaderboard!!! Have you opened more airports?? The feeder system is simple once it's up and running. I could probably add a forth Cyclone / Class 3 city to the mix but LA and Lima and just too far away from Miami, and I have no more plane slots I don't seem to be having the people / cargo heavy problem - maybe that's because I'm using advertising? I'm about to crack at the top 3 again now seeing as how I'm down to 5th place in the crew!
Job counters are another annoying thing at the moment, they can take a long time to update and a lot of the time they completely ignore jobs. Only about half of mine got counted for the Chicago event, and I've just had an Aeroeagle's worth of Passengers completely missed. I presume it has been happening before, but usually I know I used to send a lot of jobs at events and didn't really count, now I'm going for the minimum 50 I actually keep track of how much I send. Could be a real nuisance for full-plane prize events; Mystery Parts would still get you plane parts but it will take a little (or maybe a lot..) longer to get the minimum 300 jobs for them to appear. Oinsky poinsky! [<- if anyone gets that reference, I will love you forever, and ever] EDIT: Speaking of which, my counter just clocked over to 54 jobs, bye bye Aeroeagle! I'll check just before the event ends to see if those missing six people ever register.. Maybe they got lost in the airport?
