    Nice!
I think it's the best possible score (excluding cheaters ;) )
Where did your cargo come from?
I did 47522 coins with Honolulu to Seoul then a Cloud to Tokyo.
Note that when you'll retire your cloudliner, the stats screen in game won't show this score (it still appears in GC).

Same idea, but my cargo all started in Nome instead of Honolulu. Once I re-opened Nome to do the Wellington flight again, I thought it would be useful to also work on the Barrow achievement and the maximum profit flight at the same time, by collecting Tokyo-bound passengers and cargo. I had parts for all 3 Cloudliners ready to be built in Seoul when I had enough to fill it, and I got 17 cargo before I got 12 passengers, so "C" it was. I also immediately bought three weight upgrades to maximize profit.

When I look at the GC leaderboard, the top is obviously filled with hackers with outrageous scores in the millions or billions, and there is a large group of us tied at #22 overall with 49,154 coins (all using the Nome-Seoul-Tokyo method). But there are a handful of people with scores only slightly higher than that (e.g. #21 is 51,204, #20 is 58,463, #19 is 63,311...) Are they just hackers who picked a "reasonable" number, or is there actually a more profitable route?

I imagine if there is a legitimate way of making more profit it could be a different plane as well as a different route, given the cloud liner has quite a horrific profit-per-space thingy mabob. Maybe the furthest class-1 airports somehow? Might be worth investi-ma-gating.

    Timey wimey.

Anyway, enough of the whatnot and the whohah (I don't even know anymore) the jobs list has been a cruel, cruel mistress today. Everytime I check each plane either gets no passengers/cargo or it gets just 1. Normally I get 2/3 average but today the average is 1. But I have done 4 runs today, so that's very good. Might make that second slot before the event ends yet, managed to go up two levels before it ended.

EDIT: Good lord, speaking of which, we appear to have been much more active for this event. I guess it's because it's a class 3 near, or even in, a lot of people's routes (NA-EA)

I think once you remove a plane, and stick it in your hanger, the game resets its profit per hour

The problem with using the two farthest class-1 airports is that your biggest class 1 plane is the Sea Knight, which can only carry 5 items.

That wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff goes over my head, it's best left to the Doctor. :D

I get that too, only 1 job, then nothing even after several job refreshes. And not just today.

I've given the Little One her own subset of planes to play with (she loves painting her own planes), and she works on sending some to Chicago, but oh my does she send those planes to weird places! When I come back, I have to "fix" it by sending the planes back to where they belong. The Kangaroos/Birches are limited by distance, but those Aeros end up in far off places and then need to get them back on track.

I'm enjoying a slower pace this round, sending my Sequoias on long distance runs and then coming back hours later. I find it easier to fill a 10 spot Sequoia than an 8 or 12 spot. I'm always 1 or 2 obs short for the 12 spotter, and I feel the 8 spot is too small. I've bought parts for a Cloudliner but haven't put it into play yet, I can't imagine how I'd fill it up.

I'm sure of it. That's why I took the screen shot, to record the never-to-be-beaten profit rate!

Another alternative is to keep it grounded in Tokyo indefinitely, effectively giving me 17 more slots to juggle layovers.

I don't really want any more planes, and Cloudliners are too high maintenance for me. At this point in the game, all I'm really playing for are the events, so a fleet of Aeroeagles and a handful of Kangaroos for class 1 airports seems to be about right.

Hey I got a question, is anybody sure if class 3 airports attract more flyers than class 2 ones on the same area?

It seems like that on my game but not sure if it's a coincidence...

Also, for you which is the better landing airport at Asia to send big shuttles?

    :D

Perhaps focus on preparation rather than disaster recovery.

There was a typhoon while I was visiting in Hong Kong (a long time ago) and all I can remember is that the family I stayed with boarded up their windows and invited their friends over to play mahjong all day. Maybe do something like "plywood board" cargo and some other area specific cargo.

That's not a bad idea, I know some people were asking about and felt restricted by only having a max 60 layover slots, just ground a cloud liner in there! Instant 17 slots.

Looking at the progression of the scores I am dubious that any of them above what everyone else has maxed are real...

[PretendThisIsStriked]Isn't bux calculated into revenue at 500 coins per bux when you stick it on a plane? For example LA-TK jobs are around 1900 coins each, but the bux jobs are worth 9 which is converted to about 4500 coins each. So could you get a higher profit if you filled your cloud liner with bux jobs instead of regular coin ones? It would be ridiculously slow to do, but could explain some if the higher scores..[/PretendThisIsStriked]

EDIT: Just realised I'm an idiot ignore all the bux waffle. I'm thinking experience not profit.

In my defence I've only recently woken up.

Is it true? That I cannot make any profit from starship? :D but I like it a lot!!

Starships won't get you instant coins, mostly losses, but look at the big picture:
use them as fast and aound the world Bux transports.
Next time I'll exchange Bux for coins, I'll wait for 10k Bux (5500 coins per Bux!)
So a 9 bux job from Tokyo to LA will be worth almost 50k coins!
    ;)

Someone posted recently about this. They had a positive profit per hour on their starship. They were flying jobs between Paris and London only.

I checked this route out on therustysnowman's tool and it shows a theoretical profit per hour of about 8000 coins, with a level 3 weight upgrade.

That profit disappears when you send the starship on longer flights, so if profit per hour is your goal stick with two really close together airports. Otherwise like everyone says, use it as a bux pusher

I tried London-Paris briefly with a Starship. Taking 3 jobs back and forth every 1 minute is very tedious ... Best for someone who can sit on the game 24/7 LOL
I didn't have the patience for it.

I'm curious to see how profitable the Concorde will be (when it becomes available, hopefully soon?)

Chicago Event is ending soon ... What are your guesses for the next Flight Crew city?

I'm gonna guess that upper left remote region near Nome.
