Sometimes it would be fun if there was some sort of a competition, like 2nd place put up a fight and we were around 100 jobs ahead so everyone's jobs would count in making sure we won and stayed ahead. Winning every time isn't a bad thing though
This crew is just too big! It is a problem for Nimblebit though, because anytime they make the 1st place award better than 2nd place there's always going to be people who flock to TA from other teams and people new to PP will do do also. It was always going to be a problem with uncapped teams, but it's not destroyed the game. A lot of teams can still fight for every place but first and within teams (especially with TA) there's a lot of fighting for the top spots. My end game might be filling 32 slots with Cyclones and just waiting to pounce on class 3 events...
I'm already bored with Chicago! It took almost no time to reach 50 deliveries and it's just not that great a challenge to send loaded Sequoias and Cyclones there. 100 jobs is my goal, and then Chicago is closing down. Hey, I finished #9 in the last event and am happy to rest on my laurels this time.
Well I've closed down Chicago and stuck two fingers up at it to be quite frank. I was going to keep the two Seqs running and see how far they'd get me in the leader boards, however some of my jobs aren't being counted. I sent 40 jobs to Chicago this morning before going out but on my return this afternoon it only listed 20, I have by my own count now delivered 110 jobs but it lists 60. Since 50 is the minimum I've absorbed my Seqs into the main fleet (22 flying around, it's beautiful!) and closed up shop. Given the amount of crashing I've had this morning it's my end but it is a nuisance; I wouldn't have hit very far anyway, this event seems fairly popular, any one report on the top ten? My bet for the next event is a bux-only class 1 in South America.

Chicago ... Zzzzzzzzzz .... I'm bored with Chicago too. I've done the minimum 50 (didn't take long at all to rack up a few hundred jobs). I'm going back to the "sequoia plan" moving jobs between LA and Tokyo, and will drop off Chicago jobs if they happen to fall into place. I've also reduced my fleet to 19 planes and I *think* PP is crashing less but will wait a few days to see if this is actually the case.
I'm level 30-31 running 19 planes at the moment, 16 seq 1 tetra 1 cyc and 1 aero, with these cities: LA Mexico City Chicago New York(layovers from the first three airports) London Paris(I only keep it because I have it upgraded and incase London closes) Tehran(layover from last three airports) Beijing Seoul Tokyo I can't remember where I read about a similar route but it is borrowed and maybe adapted(maybe not I can't remember). Anyways I bring up my setup because I don't even have the gigantic fleets some of you guys have, but I still occasionally experience small troubles with the game. I haven't noticed losing any jobs, but I have felt like my event jobs do not always count toward my total. I've experienced game crashes, maybe 3 or 4 times a day, I might check the game 7 or 8 times a day to fill up planes and send them out. I've also noticed that when I first open the game the loading screen is starting to take more and more time. None of these things really affect my game play, maybe just a little annoying, but the game is still a hit and addictive...
I'm quitting with Chicago, I've done 100+ jobs so ill just quit and try to get to level 22 (sequoia). I'll send jobs I regularly would to Chicago so I'll still get blue jobs but I'm not trying hard
We have the exact same 10 airports, except that I also have Shanghai. And like you, I use London/Paris interchangeably in case of airport outages (like when Paris was closed this morning). Unlike you, I only have 6 Sequoias (with the intention of increasing this but I must not be stalking the Market at the right times to pick up parts, it's a work in progress). I notice the game takes a while to settle before I can start playing. I think it takes longer if more time has elapsed since the last time I checked into the game (prolly calculating plane & profit progression since the last time). I find this less annoying than the popup at the top of the screen to inform me that a plane has landed, there are new Jobs, or there are new things in the Market. Working with 19 planes, haven't had time to play much today so can't comment yet about whether this crashes less than when I had more planes.
I'm doing the same, not focusing so much on Chicago however blue Chicago jobs will still get delivered when they fall into place with the Main Route. I've done 50+ jobs to meet the minimum requirement. If y'all are curious, #1 has delivered 3305 jobs. The thing I like about the Flight Crew jobs is that they show up blue, which makes it quick and easy to scroll down the job list and find them. I wish we could color code other cities so we can easily find the ones we want. For example, I want to find all jobs going to Shanghai, it would be nice if I could assign a color to Shanghai jobs so I can quickly find those jobs while scrolling through a long list of jobs. To be honest, I'm starting to get a little bored and I want to open a LOT of Class 1 airports with a fleet of Blimps. Though no one seems to have any Blimps to give away, that plan is downed. But still, I just wanted to know, could a fully upgraded Blimp go from a South American Class 1 or 2 airport to Easter Island? If so, which airport should be opened? Also, does anyone have any Blimps they dont need? I'd be happy to take them off your hands for you.
According to therustysnowman's pocket planes tool, a blimp with lvl 3 range upgrade can only reach Lima from Easter Island
Perhaps it's just PP then. I'll keep an eye on crash times as I go up in plane count. When I open PP I get the loading screen for about 30 seconds with sounds of money going through and so on and then it always crashes. Second time, presumably since its done all the checking, it opens fine.
It's too bad that's the way it is... When mystery parts are available I tend to spend a lot more time on the event, trying to collect the mystery parts. ( I don't really care where I am on the leaderboard, I just want the mystery parts!) Kind of getting bored with PP anyway. Guess I'll just do my 50 and move along...
The only plane it beats is the bearclaw. Not really a class 1 plane you'd often use especially if you've the superior kangaroos and sea knights. I think nimblebit did a great time in the bobcat pixel design though
