Yes, during the event I had Delhi, Kolkata and Dhaka. But I would only send my big planes from Shanghai-to-Delhi or New York-to-Delhi. So it was very strange to find my Sequoia landed in Kolkata. And this happened several times.
Ooooh! I just noticed a new Trondheim job ... Carved Statues! The carved statues show up white (not blue) so prolly doesn't count toward the Trondheim flight crew, but I'm picking them up anyway cuz they look pretty. Edited to add: The person above me on the leader board is consistently 600 jobs ahead of me. I can't seem to catch up.
I'm assuming you're in the top 10 (since you've posted figures for them), which I'm guessing means you're second, since the only 600 gap is between second and first (which happens to be me!!). Guess I'd better not get a life, then, or sleep too long tonight (still 10 hours away) or I won't be able to maintain that gap - shame about the uni assignment I'm supposed to be doing! need some help plz i give poket planes its 5 stars....great ive been with pocket planes for the past month and a half , had a crash down , on level 25 to 26 and didnt have so many planes/airports. id like to know::: 1.-) does the game force you to add a slot for a new craft? it did to me in level 12. 2.-) i have 14 planes in the air (kagaroos (12) and mohawks (2) plus 5 in the hangar including a birchcaft class2 for 2p 2c, wich i cant use from madrid to/or/and berlin,st petersburg, riyadh, algiers, because i get red numbers in the upper right corner no matter what combination of passengers and cargo i use. yes im using the right passengers and cargo for their destinations. i try to gather p or c in madrid to send them to other blue destinations but its useless.... any suggestions ?? 3.-) in some flights no matter wich combination of passengers/cargo i use for the kangaroos or mohawks i get little income,( not including the 25% plus ). i try to get the best result but sometines it doest go past 200 coins say from madris to naples to benghazi and last to beirut. if i use the layovers, the last result in the upper right corner, may be in red. 4.-) any sugestions on how to get faster coins to add airports and slots ?? in level 14 the slot is 378,500 adn i need 2 slots ( one for cargo and one for passengers ) im trying to get airports closer to each other to make faster stops and goes, will that work??? all my efforts are in europe, north africa and middle east. im not bying airports in blue because of the birchcraft. it gives me minus coins. i have the bucks to have a equinox or a pearjet, but i dont trust the blue airports or their c or p thanks for any help, sugestiones or details that can help...
Here u can find the cost of the planes slots Planes Slots You have to upgrade toclass 2 planes because it give you more seats/cargo. Take in consideration the cost per seat/cargo so you can increase your profits per flight. List of Planes
Just from reading everyone's posts about events, I am about 95% sure we all have the same events, be it closures or stuff like lumber games in LA. You certainly need to start working towards blue and even red airports. Bigger planes allow more cargo and passengers for each flight, which will produce more profit. I'm not sure why you have trouble with the birchcrafts. Make sure when you move passengers and cargo, that they move closer to their final destination. Purchase airports in a straight line to reduce your headache of making sure you send passengers and cargo closer to their goals. With a straight line it is simple to judge if you are moving jobs closer to where they want to be. Large angles in the flight plan eat away your profit. Although it is not mandatory, you will make more money when you get the 25% bonus for filling your plane up with only jobs for one city. Another choice to make is whether you want to short flights or long flights. Short flights give less money but you can fly more often. This is good if you want to check in to the game every minute. I, on the other hand, chose longer flights, placing my airports as far apart as my planes could handle. This increases money per flight and flight time which allows me to make decent money and not have to live on my phone. I hate filling up planes, it is time consuming and monotonous work. So I fill them and forget them, sending them on 1-2hour trips.
I'm far too lazy to read through the 20 odd pages I've missed over the past few days, PP is crazy popular! I've also only just realised just how monumentous (is that actually a word?) a task buying 34 plane slots is going to be. *gulp* If anyone wants to gift me cloudliner parts to sell for cash you're more than welcome Anyone got predictions on the next event with a full plane? Trying to balance out replacing my class 1/2 event plane slots with permanent earner Seqs without having to reshuffle because an event where I can get mystery parts pops up. I'm mainly trading them for Seqs, I have 21.5 Seqs so far, 20 in service, and I need 32 total. Although looking at the cost of plane slots it really wouldn't matter if I missed a week or two of events. This events been real empty too, seems to be a bit of a drop in casual players doing the bux only events. Wonder if Nimblebit has any numbers on the activity difference.
Think about it. If NimbleBit did a global event for a holiday, where would it take place and what would be the cargo? Thanksgiving - Turkeys and Pilgrams? Halloween - Costumes and Pumkin? Christmas - Christmas trees and Santas/Elves? May not make sense but think about it.
Oh I'm sure they'll have holiday themed events lined up, similarly with world events like the Olympics. Part of what I really like with PP and Tiny Tower is the little, kind of cute, jibes at the real world.
Lumber games = plaid people flying in, carved statues (from their competition) flying out. I just slipped to #17, but #16 isn't that far ahead and I have a lot of Trondheim layovers in London waiting to be shuttled northward. Trying to get them out so I can close down the global event and get back to making money until the next event starts. The SantaFest should be in some distant northern city, maybe Pevek or Barrow. I'd like to see Labor Day (for non-Americans, that's the first Monday in September and marks the end of summer holidays). The passengers could be sad-looking kids and smiling parents.
Im running 32 planes and it took me a while to purchase the parts and the slots. My strategy was buy all parts first then start accumulaating bux until hiting 10K. I exchanged 10.5k bux and in return got around 54 mil in coins.
Ah... Well that explains it! And now that you've mentioned it, I only saw those Carved Statues in LA. I didn't even think of checking Events.
Looking forward to holiday events. Since Santa delivers gifts from the North Pole to many locations, I hope they don't throw us a curve ball by turning things around and having up pick up all the blue event jobs from one location (North Pole or whatever city is near there) and having to take them to several different final destinations. Edited to add: You have 20 Sequoias in service?! Wow, I only have 6 right now. Those plane slots are getting expensive, I can't afford them, even if I but more planes, but that's mostly because I haven't been playing for profit. .
Sounds like the best way to do it, my bux pile is up to 2k now, saving it for a massive turn in. Until then I'll slowly buy slots. Though I'll need to save some for event losses soon (come on full plane event!) With 22 planes flying around I seem to be getting some odd buggy behaviour... Apart from PP crashing after checking jobs/map multiple (40/50+). Every so often an odd plane will make the *bong* noise to say its full when it only has 9/10 passengers or cargo, and even if I put the 10th in it is impossible to get a 25% bonus. I've tried emptying the plane and that doesn't fix it, but sending it to another airport or back again does seem to. Other planes are arriving at their destination and not delivering one job, so I am able to have a box for Tokyo laid over in Tokyo, impossible to deliver. I'm also unsure if jobs are disappearing from my planes (again, very rarely) but it obviously could be me missing it, I do look very closely though...
This is why I will probably stick to 20 max planes lol and I'm too lazy to keep up with too many planes
Dammit! Freaking achievement problems! I've already had to reset the achievements twice and now my Arctic Exposure achievement is stuck at 98%. I'm so pissed and done with this game. To think of all the hours I've spent for nothing!!
Nice! I did the same but with 6,5k Bux and shot up to 28 planes slots. I've got now in the air : 18 Sequoias , 5 Cyclones, 2 Starships for fast Bux jobs, 2 Blimps and a Sea knight for events/Bux jobs transfers Next slot at 10m coins, and I'm not sure i really need more planes... Or perhaps just for fun for more blimps (got 12 more in the hangar!) Btw, I welcome the Toucharcade team members on GC. Not sure if there's a post with all the active members, but it should be more fun for the events looking at the leaderboards! GC Vic Sark
