Same here. Actually most of my regular fleet is sitting in the airports idle. Only planes flying are doing the event at the moment. I would agree. Class 1 events in a way limit the speed you can do things. Class 3 you just hammer the airport with every plane you have. Class 1 you ship in cargo and passengers to a close Class 3 airport then shuttle them off to the event city in smaller planes. I am mixing blimps and Kangaroos or this one.
Hi everyone. I'm near the end goal in as far as my achievements go-gotten all the "out of the way" airports, and now I just need to trigger the "Blocking out the Sun" and the various population achievements. So at this point, can someone recommend the best scenario for me to just easily rack up money-like an easy route. For instance, I'm assuming a best plan would be to have one long route, say from Los Angeles to Tokyo-and pepper the airports inbetween-and not have any airports out of the way-say in Moscow or Cape Town-to ensure that the jobs that are available are always "on my way" Thanks. I have about 17 planes now I think.
I go from North America to East Asia. I use 12 planes, seqs and cycs. All of them have a home airport. I use aeroeagles to feed the airports.
Absolutely agree - the Class 3 events are dull. I prefer the challenge of something way the bleep out in the middle of nowhere. Trondheim is okay, but it's still just one Kangaroo flight from the big feeder airports. I might stop shuttling Elvis impersonators and switch to the current pirate party in the far reaches of Alaska. I don't think the Trondheim event is bringing in big participation numbers - I've only completed 195 jobs so far, and that's still enough to put me in the top 30.
How does iCloud work in this game! For example, of I play on my iPhone at school, can I continue on my iPad later at home or does it only update the progress when you charge your devices?(aka when iCloud performs a backup)
As much as I hate to say this, this game is getting dull to me. I bought a couple Cloudliners and cities to mix it up again, but to no avail. Once I use a different route, the feeling of using somthing different wears off quickly.
It works nice now. I play on my iPhone during the day and then my iPad at home. You just have to have internet access (and obviously the same iCloud account on both your iThings!) You don't have to do a backup. It may take a few seconds before it tells you "loading from iCloud". If it doesn't work, it's better to exit totally from the app and relaunch it on both devices, so you'll see a GC box (welcome back XXX). Don't forget to check that the games are synced on your IPhone and your ipad before you play on your second device! and don't play on both your iDevices at the same time whithout syncing them or you'll lose progress on one as the game will use the save with the largest XP. Voilà
Snow storm in Paris .... yeah right, just came back and it's still 25degree celsius outside! Nimblebit is lying to us! NimbleBit I thought you did an awesome airport simulation game and I discover that it's not the real world! Now you'll tell me that there isn't really an Elvis convention in Trondheim right now!
I'm giving this event my all (or at least as much effort as I can throw at it). I'm using London as my rally point, feeding it with my big planes from the far reaches and using four blimps, three Kangaroo M's and one Sea Knight to ferry big sideburns and horrible jumpsuits into Trondheim. Getting things ramped up slowly..I'm at #85 but progressing quickly.
I just closed Tronheim and London. Too far outta the way for not much of a reward. I am making 50 bux on one sequoia trip from tokyo to lima.......
Earth calling NimbleBit! Please keep events interesting by including mystery parts with the jobs, and not only one part or a couple of bux as a prize. Otherwise, you can see people losing interest here. Myself included...
For high lvl players isn't worth the hassle. I haven't participated in the last 3 events after finishing 2nd in the london event. The rewards were bux and a starship part. Rare plane next Please!
I thought Norilsk was a good challenge. It was so remote that I had to make 2 hops to get there. Big planes taking jobs to Moscow. Another plane (Kangaroo?) taking them to Perm. And then Blimps for the final leg to Norilsk.
Trondheim definitely has low turnout, #1 has 1707 jobs, #10 has 511 jobs. The Elvis event needs more passengers & cargo variety ... Getting sick of Elvis impersonators and guitars.
I would love to see mystery parts more often even if they are for non rare planes. They are fun to find out what they are. As for more rare plane events there are not that many rare planes. Three more? Then they are all out.
There may be only 3 rare planes left, but some of us, me included, were not playing when the events went on for the Sea Knight and a few of the others. The only planes I can recall seeing in events since I started playing have been the starship, blimp, and parts for huey and starship. I would love to see events for the ones that I missed......
The low numbers continue. I've finished 545 jobs for Trondheim, which puts me comfortably at #15. The highest I can see is #11 with 762 jobs. We'll get some new individual events in a couple hours. Hope there's something remote in the mix.
Trondheim event so far... #1 has 2235 jobs #10 has 854 jobs I'm glad I'm no longer experiencing that quirk I had during the Delhi event where my big planes would end up in Kolkata. I didn't send the plane there, yet it would land in Kolkata with an empty load. I never loaded a plane full of Kolkata jobs. Yet it behaved as if I did that.
Did you even have the Kolkata airport? It would have been weird if your planes were landing at an airport you didn't even own!
