Sci-Fi convention in Delhi. Already had Delhi, so that's good. I've already got my first planes off with some storm troopers going to Delhi Out of luck, prize is Starship part and 20 bux. No concorde
Keep in mind that "profit per plane" could be meaningless depending on how you play. The planes consistently making the final leg of travel with 25% bonus will show better profit/hour. If using big planes (such as Cloudliner) taking mixed jobs to hubs on the far end of the globe, followed by smaller feeder/layover planes taking full loads of jobs going to the SAME final spoke-city destination for the 25% bonus, then your big planes will show up with low profit/hour (sometimes this can even be negative profit) while the smaller feeder/layover planes will show a much higher profit/hour. The best indicator of how you are doing in the game is to look at the Average Daily Revenue.
Congrats! Looks like you've made your goal of Top 50! I stopped doing Kinshasa earlier in the day. I was ranked #14 with 1083 jobs the last time I looked, not sure what the final tally is if any other planes landed after that. It would be nice if the reward popup (which tells us our ranking) would also mention total jobs delivered.
Yay, you're getting an early start this time. I already have a Starship and don't really need more. Nice, I got a Cyclone-M part for opening Delhi; I usually get something more useless. Edited to add: First order of business ... remove 4 planes from the fleet and put them into the hangar. It's time to simplify!
Something I've been wanting to see is a list with everyone who wants their gamertag to be on display to anyone in the crew who would like to add it so we can see eachother in events/ Then come here to groan to whoever it is that is in front by just a few jobs Will perhaps include this on the website I'm making for Pocket Planes guides / strategies etc. But for now, my game centre name is MDaymond for anyone who is interested in adding me! Faye and I added eachother during the event before last - it was quite fun seeing how she was doing 3 spots above me at rank #4! Gave me more determination to catch her!!!
Thanks a lot I think my final ranking was 43 or 44 at 474 jobs but unless the final popup changes it is wrong, I had gotten at least 10 jobs after it said 474. Hopefully when I get my sequoias I can start getting higher rankings like you, not sure how you can get 1000 jobs and not try your hardest at the same time Edit: I just realized, I have to deal with my 6 airports full of Kinshasa layovers... the stormtroopers need some space so the doctors can go. On the bright side the cargo counts as part of the event now. I can use my M planes and it all goes to a great cause!
HAHAHAHAHA ... I've got 18 planes, large and small, STUCK in Kinshasa ... cuz the last thing I did was send everything to Kinshasa before I quit working the event. It's gonna take a while to get them out of Kinshasa. I've got the layover problem too, but usually just delete those after an event is over.
I only had about five stuck there, the rest landed before the event finished so I quickly sent them out while I could. I already have a great feeling about this event. I have my event Mohawk P flying Delhi jobs In between Kolkata and Dhaka. It only takes 2 minutes to fly that. If I want to I can add Karachi and Bangalore to the mix, but I don't need to yet. I'm hoping for a top 50 finish now that I know what I'm capable of.
Finished #8 on Kinshasa. Planning to go for the top for Dehli. My planes: 7 AE, 11 Seq, 3 Cyc. All M and all are part of this event. 3 and 2 AE will feed NA and east Asia. the 2 left will go all around picking jobs. 5 seq and 3 cyc will depart from NA to dehli aswell as 4 seq from east Asia. 2 seq will be picking up bux jobs.
With only 4 rare planes left I would imagine new full plane events will be further apart. At least until more planes can be added.
But which new planes? They've already covered a lot of possibilities for each class playing with C,M,P allocation and speed and range! Bigger planes wouldn't be very helpful nor faster planes (looking at Cloudliners and Starships dislike) Any ideas?
I suspect the rare planes themselves have been divided into rare and super-rare. Since we've started getting some of the 'rare' planes twice now in events, either as parts or full planes, giving people who have missed them an opportunity to get them again rather than getting new planes first, I reckon they're considered less 'rare' by NimbleBit. So they'll come up more often as parts and planes, and the 'super-rare' planes like Concorde or the C-130 will come up almost never in events and probably be mostly parts. Still having trouble with slots, my parts list grows much faster than my plane slots. If these two events hadn't been in level 3 cities I would probably have just not done any of them, because at the minute to get to a class 1 or 2 city I'd have to put a Seq in the hangar which irritates me. Reckon I can get another two slots bought before the next event, if I can check in to PP 3 times each day. That'll give me space for two event planes. I'll need to get some Aeroeagle-M though, in case it's a class 1 near a class 2, work the layovers with a mini-route. I've made my event planes Orchid just for giggles. THEY'RE SO PRETTY! Oh, and is anyone finding that Cargo jobs are a lot more common for this Sci-Fi event? I've already delivered 20 cargo but haven't been able to fill up a Seq with passengers yet. EDIT: Just realised it might just be bad 'luck'. 9 out of 10 of my planes fill up one C/P at a time until there's nine total and then when I only need one there's at least five jobs waiting.

You only mystery boxes in events where one of the rewards is a FULL plane, and I think there is a minimum number of jobs (300?) you must deliver before mystery parts will start appearing.

My final rank for Kinshasa was in the low 90s. I'm not shooting for a top 100 for Delhi, but then again, that's what I said about Kinshasa. The Delhi event is a mere distraction, as my focus is the Pumpkinfest taking place in Madrid. All those pumpkin-headed passengers wandering around the airport waiting areas...
So i was wondering about the advertise option in airports. How does it work? A.- you get more jobs going out from the airport B.- you get more jobs to this airport from all the other ones?
Lol Ipad battery drained. 1st to 3rd place are 714, 705 (me) & 700 jobs. Tried my best but I couldn't catch up to the top guy. I really need Cloudliners soon. Was a great run (after 15 mins) Leader added 100+ jobs in a matter of minutes lol.
I finished in the top 25 for Kinshasa. Really disappointed in this new event, however I do like ferrying Aeroeagles full of stormtroopers....... I've got 100+ jobs for Delhi, think I am going to close it and move back to making bux.....
