No bug, it's because medical conference events do not have cargo as part of the event. There are also some other events like this with just people.

I posted my adaption about 10 pages back, my average daily rev is now 2mil with 16 sequoias, including a small loss on my event planes at the moment. Basically got rid of the hubs so I have barely any airports and sit on jobs. Also with only 16 planes you can just run one route making 4 less airports so jobs should be even faster to fill up. I'm bringing in 4 planes at a time up to 32 total then I'll stop and see how it's going.

    EDIT:
My post is #6114 on page 612 of this thread.

Well, I lost everything. But it's a good game, so it's hard to fault nimblebit for it too much. I just turned off iCloud syncing and started again. Hopefully they fix it in the future.

The thing with Pez's method and why it uses hubs is because it was made for people who are on the go and do not want to spend too much time playing the game. I only check 4-5 times a day for 5 minutes at a time. I want to be able to fill up my planes and send them off, since I don't have the time to come back every few minutes for job refreshes.

If you get rid of the hubs and rely on job refresh to fill planes then it's not a strategy based off of his method.

I think a lot of the older players have done what you are doing at one point. It is a good way to make money, if you have the patience to wait for the job refreshes. Once the novelty of the game started wearing off, people started to try to find ways to maximize profit while minimizing playtime, thus, Pez's Sequoia Strategy.

Well sticking with that there is no way I can see of furthering profits without using a different system. It's essentially a same-plane feeder system so maybe having dedicated feeder planes (different ones) could speed it up when you do check but other than that.. Nadda.

The flight log shows how long your plan has been flying and profit per hour.

I disagree. I've been playing since day 1 and I'm now at level 40, but making money has no meaning at this point. I have 24 planes in the air and don't want any more. I have over 12,700 bux on hand, so I could exchange for over 67 million coins if I wanted, but there's no need. I have 20 airports open (out of 45), so it's never a big deal to open or close them.

I've completed all the achievements (even though they don't all show up because that part of the game is very buggy) so the only things left to play for are:
    1. Waiting for the hot air balloon, Bobcat, Concorde and C-130 Hercules to show up in global events so that I can complete the Airpedia
    2. Finishing all 45 individual events
So basically my planes sit idle most of the day now unless events show up in my cities, and then I'll invest some time to increases my progress. (Today is unusually busy: Tehran, Sydney and Johannesburg all have something going on.)

But I don't see any point in setting up a dedicated set of routes just to make more coins at this point in the game.

Have they ever done an event where the event jobs are all outgoing from one city? Maybe a Volcano Evacuation from Honolulu?

Blue's Volcano Evacuation Plan... Sounds good to me;)

It could be all passenger or even both, if people want to bring pets and personal items they don't want to lose...

And for random cities they could do a Bear's ( insert catastrophy here; Meteor Strike, Wild Fire, Tsunami, Famine, Bear Attack... ad infinitum)Evacuation

But definitely must have Bear or Blue in the name! ;)

That's a good idea to have.

For example there could be the normal passengers and the rare passengers could be dressed in suits or sports uniforms or costumes to show they are inportant and you would be rewarded bux for their importance of getting out.

For cargo there would mostly be stuff like TVs, computers, stuff like that and the rare cargo could be stuff like pets or rare-like museum items or valuables.

Edit: What position is everyone in the crew? I'm at #63 at around 250 jobs

I'm 216 with 133 jobs, I quit after the first two hours of the event lol I'll compete in the next one most likely

Edit: I like how you can see your game enter friends on the event top list, it would be awesome if we could view a list that only showed how many jobs your friends have completed, it would handy when your friends are way out doing you and you can't see where they are on the normal list. This way you can see how bad they are beating you and can set a goal to reach.

I just made it up to #25!

I had been focusing on LA>NY>LONDON>TEHRAN>SEOUL, but figured the 4 airport approach would be easier, so I went RIO>KINSHASA>BANGALORE>SEOUL.

I also realized the Cloudliners are a waste. I downsized to 14 Aeroeagles and 6 Fogbusters, Now I am realizing the Fogbusters are a waste too, and am going to try Sequoias. Love this huge fleet of Aeroeagles though. (I'm level 35 or so)

EDIT: Wish there was a way to remove upgrades! I upgraded all my planes, even for speed, over a month ago. Now I am learning that having the speed upgrade lowers profit..... bummer.

I did that a while back too, upgraded a plane's speed to see what would happen. :( I had already fully upgrade range and weight, and I didn't really need the minor time savings. I did not want to put the plane back into the hangar because I was Bux-poor back then. It's not such a big deal now, I think I have over 14,000 Bux. After that, I went back to upgrading only range & weight on my bigger planes.

I completely skipped the Cloudbusters, they don't fit into my style of play.

I don't think there's much turnout for the Kinshasa flight crew. I haven't put much effort into it and have somehow managed to deliver 676 jobs (#14). I certainly haven't optimized for the event, pretty much haphazardly flinging my planes across the globe LOL, and at times not even checking in again for anywhere between 6 to 12 hours. Too lazy to buy Mumbai for a straighter route from Asia, so my jobs have been taking a detour off the main LA-Tokyo route, going from London/Tehran down to Kinshasa.

I wish we could see more of the leaderboard, not just the ones near our own ranking. Perhaps only the Top 50 or Top 100, so there isn't such a strain on their servers to pull down the full list.

To get that much jobs and have that high of a ranking in events do you have to have tons and tons of planes or do you have to just stay up all night?

Right that sounds cool too. I just like the idea of seeing names, it makes the competition more personal.

I've dropped down to #15 with 713 jobs since my last post.

No, I need my beauty sleep too. :D
It's sort of feast or famine … I manage to put in a good chunk of PP time while watching TV, and then there are long periods (hours) when I'm unable to play.

I don't think I have tons of planes, I even reduced my fleet after Wellington. Lemme go take a look at what's active right now…

    23 total planes

    1 Pearjet P
    2 Aeroeagle P

These three planes bounce between Kinshasa & London/Paris (depending on how I can fill them going back up)

    11 Aeroeagle M
    4 Sequoia M
    3 Cyclone M
    2 Fogbuster M

These twenty planes travel anywhere between LA/Mex/Chi/NY to Shanghai/Beijing/Seoul/Tokyo.
Depending on how I manage to fill the planes, they usually do one of the following:

-- Mixed flight to near-hub to be resorted before final 25% bonus hop to far-hub/spoke cities (Pez' Sequoia Method)
-- Mixed flight to far-hub to be resorted before final 25% bonus hop to spoke city
-- From any city, 25% bonus to any city (near/far hub/spoke cities)
-- From NY/Shanghai, take Kinshasha-P London-C to London; unload Kinshasa-P for P planes to pick up.
-- From any city, take full load to Kinshasa (yes, only half the jobs count towards the event)
