Anyone else having an issue where their flight crew deliveries aren't updating properly? I am at over 40 deliveries to Kinshasa, but when I got to the flight crew menu page it still shows me at only 5. If i click on the Leaderboard and go to the individual stats it displays correctly however. Weird.
Thanks Faye. Read the first part and I'm doing something similar but very chaotic version using SA > Asia route. Currently using Aeroeagles so I'm passing a few cities inbetween the hub cities. Hopefully with better ranged airplanes I can reduce my number of cities. I'm kind of tempted to change from SA->Asia to NA->Asian because I think it earns more. But I'll take a lot of gold which is not a luxury at the moment.
Right okay, I need a bit of help. Can someone tell me all the class 3 airports, as I have just reached level 20 and bought 3 fogbusters. I only have 5 class 3 airports, and can't fill any of them up. So far I have London, New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Lagos. Any help I will be appreciative of Cheers.
What's with the spy docs coming out of Boston? See attached screenshots. I tried delivering a few but no special reward as far as my game goes. Is it related to the mini event in Boston? The embassy dinner.
Yes, individual events can generate outgoing cargo, and the spy docs are coming from the embassy dinner. Similarly, you should also see some medical supplies and medical devices cargo originating in Kinshasa during the current medical conference event. You do not get any reward for delivering the outgoing cargo; it's just a fun easter egg. My favorite one of these is sunken treasure coming out of a city with the dive trip event.
Oh, I didn't know mini events had outgoing items. Was that new from the last update? I don't remember seeing them for other mini events I did. Or I guess it would only make sense for certain type of events and I haven't noticed until now.
I'm doing an archeological dig as a mini event, which produces unique outward bound cargo (various types of artifacts). Alas, no extra event credit for these, but they're still nifty. Hmm, I don't really like having a global event in a level 3 airport. Where's the challenge that makes you bang your head against the wall and curse the slow Kangaroos?
I've done both NA-Asia and SA-Asia routes, either one or the other, or both at the same time. I've also flip flopped between the two. Yes, it costs a bit to open and close airports and then later rebuy them again. I can't recall which route was more profitable. :-/ I've reached a point where I'm no longer playing for profit so don't notice anymore. The SA-Asia route is slightly more attractive because your feeder cities are a little closer to your hub city.
I found for me NA <> Asia seemed to flow better than SA <> Asia. Planes always seemed to fill faster. At least to me.
I've found a nice simple solution of using my hub cities (CHI, NYC, SEOUL, TOKYO) as feeder cities as well. It works like this: - 8 Cloudliners (4 P and 4 C), each assigned to one of the 4 Hub cities in pairs of C and P planes. - Jobs in Chicago go to Tokyo - Jobs in NYC go to Seoul - Jobs in Tokyo go to Chicago - Jobs in Seoul go to NYC - 2 Aeroeagles fly from Chicago to NYC, picking up passengers for the opposing city; In Chicago it picks up jobs going to Seoul, to leave in NYC waiting for the long-haul planes. - Same thing happens between Seoul and Tokyo - Between to two sets of hub cities, I only need London and Tehran to run between them, which leaves me just 6 open airports. This way I pretty much have a closed circuit of job runs that don't compete with each other and can constantly get the 25% bonus. Each run nets between $14k-$17k profit and I tend to pick up a fair amount of Bux. I also have a growing fleet of Special Event Job planes that I reconfigure depending on the target airport's size and complexity to reach. But I also always try to minimize my number of opened airports to help keep my primary job runs stocked with waiting jobs.
I even read a few hundred of posts back that you played Dragonvale because you burned out in Pocket Planes I might try that game too I can't really scrap my SA route even if I want to for the sake of airport hoarding. Plane slots are expensive! I'm 35k xp away from level and I'm going to add a few Fogbusters to my legion soon
Nice! I was thinking of a very similar end game airport set-up myself. Too similar in fact Ugh, I wish I had Cloudliners. That level 28 plane looks like a game changer. You can really set-up your airports nicely because of the range. Does this set-up require a lot of constant management?
I've found that if you are using the hub system, adding more airports does not hurt you (dilution of job pool doesn't really matter). In fact, as you get more planes, you need to expand to more airports because there are not enough jobs at your airports to load up all of your planes in one go. I've played around with a lot of airport configurations and this is my latest. It's still based on Pez's Sequoia method at the core. EA cities: Beijing Shanghai Tokyo Seoul Manila Hub/Transition/Layover cities: Mumbai + Karachi for EA Lagos + Kinshasa for SA SA cities: Lima San Paulo Rio Buenos Aries Mexico City Planning to add Guangzhou too to test out once I get more planes. I don't think one extra airport on the EA side will make too much of a difference in terms of balance. I can always expand to LA as a test to if it's really necessary. Sequoias, Cyclones, and Cloudliners fly back and forth. Having two hub cities for each side means I have 120 layover slots for each side instead of just 60 (60 was just not enough once I started flying more than 25 planes on this route). Jobs to the hub cities are used as fillers for the trips towards them. Jobs out of the hub cities are used as fillers for the trips to the spoke cities. Works out very well and leads to 0 wastage. I've never had any problems filling up my planes for the 25% bonus, and I don't have to wait for job refresh either. Seq/Cyclone earn 12-14k per trip, Clouds earn 16-20k per trip.
Are your planes mixed or p/c? If just p/c i like to use 4 cities sa cargo, sa passengers, asia cargo, asia passengers. This eliminates waiting for a single person for your plane to take off on a mix plane and no need trying to fly in pc pairs with the cloudliners.
I'm doing the sequoia method that Pezmage wrote a while ago, has anyone got any ideas on how to make more profit without modifying too much? Just realized I posted this at about the same time as the post above
