Just a little update on how far Ive gotten since the event started.

    Airline Value: 1,320,100
    Avg. Daily Rev: 491,728
    Airports: 9 of 32
    Pop. serviced: 80M
Current coins: 40k (was 600k but spent it on keeping the events going.)
Current bux: 6 (Was spend on plane upgrades along with flying them out of the hanger.)
    Airports open:

    - London (Advertising going on and fully upgraded.)
    - Moscow
    - Paris
    - Istanbul
    - Cairo
    - Karachi
    - Lhasa (Only to let blimps get rang to go to Guangzhou and Tokyo.)
    - Guangzhou
    - Tokyo

    Planes: 13 total.
    - Aeroeagle-M x7
    - Cyclone-M
    - Blimp x5

I've done 2,036 jobs. (#34 in flight crew at the moment of this post.)

All I really do is just 25% bonus flights to get as much profit as I can from all planes even if I have to spend bux refreshing. Im not doing any layovers even though I think I should. Its just back and forward all day with no mix ups. The shortest flight could be done with London to Paris in an Aeroeagle in about one minute. The longest is a fully upgraded blimp going from London to Tokyo at 3 hours and 11 minutes.

This is just a status update. Comments are accepted. :)

With the Tiny Towers update I have had to cut back on my Pocket Planes time so I am definitely looking at ways to keep making money and buxs but check the game less. In the last week bux seems to have increased in regularity as I have made made quite a few. Mind you I am also prioritizing them on flights. I was using Pezmages Sequioa plan but with the last event went to a combo of it and feeder planes. Once the event is over I will switch back most likely. I am thinking of keeping a blimp route active through North and South America along with my normal NY to Shanghai route and slightly odd and less used southern route. Guess it depends on where the next event is.

Still having fun but on a slightly longer schedule. :)

Good catch. I wondered if that was ever the case or not. I've seen some that were sneakily hidden most of the way off to the side or had some stuff in front of it where you could only glimpse a little of the gold border. But I've yet to see one in the manifest that wasn't shown in the terminal at all. Still, even with only eight available airports (seven I guess, since London doesn't count) I was able to get 40 mystery parts in a few days. Since I'm so slow at checking all the manifests, I'm comfortable with risking just the graphical view.

That's what I do, except Im not very lucky with finding them. The first few plane events (p-40, seaknight) I checked in the jobs list and never found one that wasn't in the terminal view, so I figured they are forced to be in the cargo line, in sight.

Once you get a big enough fleet you should have no problems filling up the bigger planes. I almost never have any problems filling up my Sequoias. My Cloudliners may have to wait a little sometimes though.

What length routes do you put your blimps on? Does anyone know how long it would take from Lima to Easter Island?

    Bug

Ok guys, big problem here. I was playing the game and noticed something. I load one person on a plane, exit out of the load screen, and go back. The person or cargo is repeated 1 more time. So, I do this again and I get the bonus and take off. This also worked on the M's. I had an aeroeagle M full with cargo, even though three spots were empty when I looked at the plane. So, I check my stats and sure enough, the major groups (airline value, money per day, ect.) is at 0. So I close the app and restart it. When I open it back up, right as it says welcome back, kerec6 (gamecenter banner on top) it crashes. This happens a couple times so I log out of GC. When I try again it asks me to log on to GC and crashes. I tried restarting my iPhone and still nothing. I would appreciate some help here! I will provide screenshots in my next post.

    Hello all,

Potentially dumb question here: can you fly west from Los Angeles to Japan, or do I need to fly east?

I am getting a little bored and want to expand my LA - New York - London - Moscow route. (If I can do so with the aircraft available at level 24, that is.)

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry, you have to fly east from LA to Japan... unfortunately, the map doesn't "wrap". Moscow to Tokyo is 3134 miles, so you will need a stop in between.

NimbleTim: I'm experiencing another achievement-related bug. I passed the 10,000,000 mark for airline level and was awarded the Flying Giant achievement. I saw the icon in the Game Center page, and the achievement counter had incremented accordingly. But note that I was offline at the time--flying on a plane, ironically! Later when I reconnected to a wi-fi network, the achievement was gone. How can I re-trigger the award? Should I spend a few million coins to open another plane slot, and drop down below 10,000,000 value, in hopes that it will re-trigger when I pass that boundary again? Or is this like the other achievement bugs, where only a reset will fix it?

I've already done that, and I do NOT want to do Easter Island, Madagascar, etc. a third time! I'm hoping there is something you can do in the next update to fix these achievement bugs without a reset.

In the beginning levels you can do almost anything and turn a profit. If you really want max efficiency, open your airports in as straight a line as possible, with each new airport as close as possible to max range from the old ones.

Once you start hitting Pearjets and Aeroeagles, youll want to set up a layover system where your small planes collect a whole bunch of faraway jobs into one airport, then your big planes foll up on jobs to one far away airport and take them over with the 25% bonus.

If you play a lot, fast planes like Equinoxes, Pearjets and Fogbusters can be useful if youre using layovers well. If you dont play a lot, or dont want to micromanage as much, Birchcraft, Aeroeagles and Sequoias are the best

A pretty standard, easy route to aim for is LA, NYC, London, Tehran, Tokyo, using Honolulu and San Fran to feed layovers to LA, and any of the class three east asian cities to feed Tokyo.

Once you start unlocking class 2 planes its worth saving up for a class 3 city because they have loads of jobs available.

What I've noticed from my search for the mystery parts is that they will always be visible in the Airport Screen if the airport hasn't been upgraded. For upgraded airports, they may or may not be visible, though usually I don't see them. The only time I saw a mystery part in an upgraded airport, it was to the very right, half hidden. So, I would double check the Jobs Screen for my upgraded airports in case a mystery part is there. Actually, I've been checking the Jobs Screen for my unupgraded airports as well but have yet seen a mystery part that wasn't shown in the Airport Screen. I run all class 3 airports so I'm not sure if this holds true for lower class airports as well.

    Also, 40 mystery parts? Beast!

Whats everyone's blimp count up to? Currently have five in the air, will be six with the event prize, maybe more since weve got two days to go.

I was checking for parts on every job refresh but ive already got so many, plus a lot of engines and bodies to trade later so not really bothering anymore.

Absolutely in love with the blimp. Ive got a ring of airports around london with five blimps just funneling event jobs in. Im not even going at it that hard and have 1000 or so jobs delivered.

Hmm, maybe that's it. I've five airports that aren't upgraded and the other three are only upgraded once.

Yeah, I got a little carried away with parts. Though to be honest, it was a little easier than the normal routine. When I was at work or otherwise didn't want to keep all my planes in the air, I'd just park a plane in each airport. That way I could just spend about 10 seconds every four minutes and if I saw a part I'd just load it.

I've four in the air and parts to build six more (10 more if I trade 4 bodies for 4 engines). I think they're great. They balance out my tight EA feeders with the more spread NAs. I'm the same as you, I finally cut myself off yesterday and got back to normal deliveries.

I seem to be REALLY unlucky with the parts - during the whole week, only saw 5 parts spawn. :/ And I do check my airports regularly.

Wanna swap an engine for a body? My tag is Dapooky.

Yeah, I have something similar going on at Africa and India stopover airports while still doing regular flights South America to Far East.

Also, and unfortunate for the more OCD people such as myself, I just had a mystery part in an airport that's not upgraded only shown in the Jobs Screen. So I guess the Airport Screen probably randomly chooses a number of passenger/cargo to show from the actual passenger/cargo, and there's a higher chance of a mystery part being shown for an airport that's not upgraded than one that is. Sounds to me like this would be a logical implementation to populate the Airport Screen to a dev as well.
