Still missing Goose Bay prize NimbleTim, can you help? I've done everything I can think of - restarted the game, checked the parts list, and I am certain I still haven't received the prize for the Goose Bay event. I noticed they usually appear in the cities u pass through and not actually stop. I found my first one just now.
Perhaps that is why I'm not finding as many mystery parts. Out of 11 airports, I stop at all but one (pass thru) city. :-/
LOL yup... 8 new floors and some very cool updates including the ability to pick the floor you build and save up VIP's for later use!
The way I went about getting parts (at least each of the 3 so that I have the ability to build one) is that I hada plane at each airport I had open (about 12) and flicked through at each job refresh. Puts a stop to the rest of your business but it got my plenty of parts and now I can go back to business as usual (while also doing the event of course).
Just updated and started building new floors. I think it has been months since I played last. Stocking floors took a while. Looking forward to the ability to save VIPs.
Is your device currently connected to the internet? Looks like you were jumping around groups when it processed the reward. Try and wait around a hour after before jumping groups to make sure the reward goes through. I just gifted your the reward but it can take a little while to get to your device.
Bit of a change in flight plans for this event. Back to a feeder system atm. I am using Aeroeagles to feed NY and Shanghai then Sequoias to run to NY/Shanghai to London. Fogbusters and Cyclones run down to South America and do a circuit picking up event items for a trip back to London. I have two spots open in case I find a mystery package in a city I cannot get to in time. I drop a Kangaroo which picks up the package and transports it to the nearest city then another plane will pick it up.
I only delivered 2 mystery parts so far - both of which were Blimp engines. As a side note, does anybody notice an increase in Bux jobs?
I missed this earlier and wish I missed it again. I really did not need to know this. Sigh ... Now I HAVE to go update it. So if you don't see me around for a while, I'm prolly trapped in the elevator. I can see how that would work! It's very disruptive each time a new flight crew event begins, cuz I have to rearrange things. Plus I get bored and always change up my "main route". I only just got everything running smoothly again, and went back to a "feeder" system for this event. I'll try to park a plane in my pass-through city and have it wait for a mystery part to show up. Wow ... I still have three. (not directed at Tim) I don't understand why people are so quick to switch flight crews, seems like they change flight crews as easily as they change clothes? LOL What's wrong with picking one and sticking with it? I've been with TA since I started PP and haven't gone flight crew hopping, and I always do a little more than the minimum 5 jobs required.
Yes I have seen an increase in bux jobs since yesterday afternoon. It's not as good as pre-update but I've pulled in a few hundred in a the few hours I've played since yesterday whereas prior it would have been like 50.
This seems like a lot of work and something that could be very detrimental to your productivity. Why don't you just look at each airport every time the jobs change? If you see that there is a mystery crate out there somewhere, then you can spend bux to instantly send your plane to that airport. Sure, you may spend a few bucks to get a plane there right away, but as long as you can do it before the jobs change, then you should be fine. This way you wouldn't need to halt production whenever you're searching for mystery crates. It seems like it would cost more coins and bux jobs just to keep a plane at every city.
Yeah, you're totally right. But I'm at a stage of the game now where I don't need coins or bux and the only achievements I have left are for 100 jobs to the ass end of no-where. So I can afford to do it for a fews hours or so. Not recommended if you are still getting your airline off the ground (no pun intended).
Are you guys experiencing a problem trrying to bring up Flight Crew status? My game keeps hanging up on the blue popup that reads,"Loading flight crew..." This has happened multiple times, only started doing this today. (this is different from the usual message about flight crew being unavailable and to try again later, which usually loads when I try again immediately after getting the mesg) I agree it is not the most efficient approach, however (at level 35) I'm not really chasing coins & Bux as aggressively as the early levels. (I even let my planes take off at a loss) .
