It shouldn't be a developer thing. I have beta 3 runinng and I'm not receiving any notifications after I turned it off.
Yes. We are currently running the Huey part for the second time even though due to a bug last time there should be more then enough parts floating around. Different people seem to like different rewards so we are trying to keep a good mix of planes, parts, and bux to make the events interesting. We make also make a rare plane part of the standard pool in the future when we introduce new rare planes.
With only one Cloudliner in operation I can already see they require a huge support fleet to keep them flying. Think I may hold off on putting the second into operation. Smaller planes offer more flexibility which seems to be he way to go. Especially when trying to cash in on as much bux as possible.
Ok, so I just got pocketplanes for my iPhone as I already have it for my iPad. So far they are individual profiles, but I'm afraid my iPad data (main "profile") will get saved over by my iPhone data (noob "profile"). I'm using the same apple id, game center, and iCloud. The thing is, my iCloud backup is off for my iPhone. I also kinda wanna have a noob account, and I think when I backup my iCloud for my iPad it will save over my phone. What will happen?
Hey Tim, I think it would be helpful if we were able to see how many P/C there are in a particular airport for each destination. Maybe put a number next to the passenger like (15) to say that there are 15 passengers heading to the same location in the airport. It would make loading big planes like the Cloudliner much much easier, especially if the airports are already overflowing with layovers.
Creating a PP based website.. Thanks for the replies! FAQ section is one of the priorities! What other things do people often ask in your opinion? Trying to add as many relevant things as possible! That gave me an idea! But I'm not saying what is it it will involve people submitting something though... Good ideas! I'll incorporate that in. Any other ideas for what can be included? Now's the time to say
If you disable sync in the settings within the game or in the Pocket Planes section of the iDevice settings the games should never overwrite each other. iCloud backup is per device and you probably should leave that enabled in case something happens to your device. The bigest problem with something like this is there is just no room. There is already city and bitizen/cargo name combinations that are just a character or two too big for the space. Adding anything else there would break the UI.
Is it possible to put the number in a small badge (like the red badges for app notifications) on the top right corner of the bitizen/cargo avatar?
New flight crew ... in Mahajanga! ... had no idea where it was, and found it on an island east of Africa. Eeeks, I recently closed off my South America to East Asia route, which meant I also closed my Kinshasa airport too. This is definitely an "educational" game, learning lots about geography.
Currently working on the awards to keep it interesting. Also participating in the flight crew missions. Related question though, how does the airline value figure get calculated? I'm only at 5 million and I need it to be 10!
Huey Part I flew 20 jobs for the last mission and still haven't gotten my reward yet. Anyone else still waiting?
What is the best feeder plane for my Pearjets doing LA>NY>London? I do have kangoroos now but Im thinking of changing them with the quicker Equinox or perhaps the Birchcraft. What is the smartest choice?
I would stick with the Kangaroo's. They carry more people and are more efficient than the other 2. The Equinox is faster meaning it costs more to fly and carries one less slot - I got them and retired them after about 3 days. The Birchcraft is good, but now that bux are a little harder to come buy since the update, you should probably save them to buy Aeroeagle's at level 16 and if you still want to upgrade from the K'roos, do it after. The Aeroeagles will probably be the one plane that stays with you throughout the rest of the game.
I agree with Mdaymond. I actually hangared some higher level planes and put the 'Roos back in service as feeders. They're one of the most efficient planes in the game. And you don't really need speed or range with most feeder routes.
