Actually, even if we knocked out our 5000 lower members we would still beast with our 2,000+ job doers (pocketplanegod97)
I really wish we had a better oppritunity to get bux like before. Bux jobs are low its not often I spend time waiting for Bux to go by. Ive been gifted several planes by very appealing players who look out for everyone but I cant build them without bux. #BringBackBux Tim #BringBackBux
Also, how about adding re-fuel time before a plane can fly again, or havign a gauge so you can decide when to send it back in the air, do you wait for a full tank or simply refuel fully at your next stop? Also, how about planes getting old and having to replace parts after so many miles? Maybe rather than implementing it for everyone you have the ability to turn it on, like Harcore mode in Fallout: New Vegas.
Route/Plane Configuration Help I have been playing for a few weeks now and have managed to get to level 26. I have 1.2 million coins and 300 bux. I have a random fleet of everything from pearjets to a tetra and a bunch of fogbusters. I want sequia M's but they have been very hard to come by in my market. I have tried to establish a long ditance route running back and forth and feeders in US. I have Honolulu-LA-Chicago-NY-London-Paris-Istanbul-Mumbai. I also have Seattle, Mexico City and Washington DC open. I had a few smaller class 2 airports such as Boston/Philly/Phoenix and such open but closed them down to try and concentrate on a long distance highly profitable less time consuming route. I have a few questions. 1. What is the best plane to use for NY-Honolulu routes or should I use LA as a Honolulu layover? I'm currently using aeroeagles but they are sooooo slow. 31 Minutes from NY-Honolulu. 2. As far as my route and end goal, should I close Seattle, dc and mexico city? What planes should I use as my entire fleet to cover from Honolulu to Mumbai? Should I make changes to this route? Buy further east? 3. Currently Paris/London are my layover hubs between US and overseas should I use another city or are these good? Thank you in advance
just turned lvl28! now debating if i should get the cloudliner. does anyone use cloudliners and whts your thoughts on them?
Understood, but it still looks like there is a bug there. Every incoming flight for me has 3 P or 3 C from my Mohawks. I have Lima stocked with Easter Island layovers to make sure every flight is full. Therefore, the achievement progress meter should be incrementing in steps of 3% -- but it isn't. Right now it shows 83%, which is not divisible by 3. Also, since I am running one P and one C aircraft in tandem, I would expect the passenger and shipment counts to be close. Given your explanation of in+out being counted, I can see how they could diverge, since sometimes (20% of the time?) the return trip to Lima is not full. But right now I show 81 passengers and 53 cargo, which is quite a difference. I just ran a quick experiment: my entire fleet was grounded (first thing in the morning), so nothing else was going on. All I did was load the two Mohawks and send them to Easter Island. Before starting the flights, and before they landed, the airport info screen showed 116 flights, 81 passengers, 53 cargo. After they landed, but before I sent them off again, info showed 120/86/57, instead of the expected 118/84/56. Not sure where the extra counts came from! After I sent the Mohawk-C off with a full load of 3, it showed 121/86/57, so the flight counter incremented but not the cargo counter. I then sent the Mohawk-P off with a full load and the counters were 122/86/57. About 10-15 minutes later while they were still in-flight, the counters were 122/88/54 (passenger count went up by 2, not 3, and cargo count went down!). I checked one last time after they landed in Lima and unloaded the Easter Island originated items, and they remained at 122/88/54.
Does anybody have a conscious strategy to go after the 45 individual events? I'm simply working on them when they happen to fall on my existing cities, but I might change that soon just to try something different.
I hate Cloudliners. I bought a whole bunch of them and have regretted it. They're just too hard to use efficiently. The number of jobbers they need don't match up nicely with any other plane and it just makes it a real pain in the butt to properly feed them to keep them running without WAY too much thought and planning.
They're good if you have the time to properly manage them. A 25% bonus for 17 P/C is really good with any long routes. If you don't properly manage them you'll sink thousands of coins with every flight.
First Post Hey Touch Arcade flight crew, this is my first post and i simply wanted to salute you all. I've been trying to register for quite a while now and i finally did it. In San Diego for the comic convention (I know it was a while ago) i did 27 jobs there and i dont know if it was a bug but i still haven't got my prize. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
New Ideas - Hire stewards and stewardess to keep the passengers happy. - Interaction at the airport screen. Let them post on Bitbook while in the airport. - New planes at higher levels. (I saw a few pages back Air Force One. Kudos and good idea to the person who proposed it.) - Airport announcements of arrivals, departures, and closures. (Ex. When a plane lands, "Flight [enter flight name or number here] has landed in [enter location here]." "Flight [enter flight name or number here] has departed from [enter location here]. "[Name of location here] is now closed due to [enter event here].") - More frequent bux jobs. (#BringBackBux) - Planes flying through storms and such while heading for or leaving the airport. If I stole your idea, I am very sorry for this. Just suggesting a few changes to Pocket Planes to make it more accurate if you want to call it that. Criticism is respected.
If you haven't got it by now then you probably won't be now. We can send you one if you'd like though? Add me: CHADSTERUK and I can send through any parts you need to complete the Starship.
With fully upgraded Cyclones you can skip London/Paris in your North American to Asia route, which makes it far more efficient. I would drop Honolulu personally, while it might be really attractive to drop guys off in L.A. from Asia, Honolulu is just really terrible for making the trip back profitable. You don't need to push farther east if you don't want to. I'd probably open Karachi and use that as my base rather than Mumbai since you could use Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Dhaka as feeders for Karachi better than you can for Mumbai.
Looked at this website which also shows the efficiency of a plane. Most efficient class 3 plane following most efficient at top to least at bottom: AIRCRAFT...........COST PER PASSENGER PER MILE Sequoia..............0.48 C130 Hercules......0.5 Cyclone..............0.74 Tetra.................0.76 Fogbuster...........0.78 Cloudliner............0.8 Concorde............1 Starship..............2 Hope some find this useful
That was me with the ideas (Air Force One, announcements etc) continuing on from Battlefields ideas in the post just before mine! I think it would add a lot to the game. Right now it doesn't feel as individual as Tiny Tower did - everyone does similar routes with slightly different strategies and planes etc. It's good for playing the game in many different ways but bad for the feeling that Tiny Tower gave. It felt like MY tower. In Pocket Planes, it doesn't really feel like my own personal airline at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the game but I think this combined with a few other things is contributing to people becoming tired with it perhaps.
For .02 percent efficiency, I would run nothing but C-130's just for the sheer coolness of it. When the C-130 event shows up, I will be the guy trading 3 of my Sequoias for each C-130.... -=QAKurt
