Every event can be slightly different and I am not going to comment on future events other than all rare planes will be make available. Sometimes a part is given instead of a full plane, this is done to encourage trading of parts PM me the code on the settings screen and I will send he enough coins to get out of the red. Looks like we might have missed one of the negative coin issues. This. We do this so you can make sure a VIP makes it or prefer layovers/non layovers. Guess everyone at Nimblebit has really skinny fingers. I will increase the touch area but the best thing to try would be to aim more for the corner of the screen verus the X.
So I've been running my Sequoias strat for a little under a week now and I feel like I can make some fair conclusions about it. Lots of people seem to have adopted it which is exciting, and it seems to be working for them also! I won't bore you guys with a big long winded recap of how it works. So the surprising thing is that it's fairly profitable. Here's a pic of my stats screen as of right now: http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t386/Pezmage/photo01.png (if you poke around in that album there's one other picture which is how my strat looks in flight if you're wondering) The avg. daily listed isn't accurate for the Sequoia setup since the crazy feeder one is distorting the numbers. I would estimate that I'm pulling somewhere in the range if 1.2 to 1.4mil a day which is fine by me. The peak in the middle of that screen is when I was playing pretty much non-stop in my feeder set up. I had 4 cloudliners and 20 cyclones running non-stop from N.Y. and Chicago to Beijing and Shanghai. The huge drop to zero is over the weekend when I didn't play at all because I was super burned out. The climb back up is solely my Sequoias setup. It looks like it's leveling out in terms of miles and revenue. I think the spike up in flights was me screwing around trying to get one of the "deliver 100 things" achievements. So I'd say that it's about half as profitable as my crazy setup. But it takes about a fifth of the effort. I don't have to plan anything, I don't have to set up anything, I don't have manage anything, I don't have to worry about the game screwing me on feeders. I'm not 100% sure that it would work just as well with Cyclones and I'm fairly certain that it would not work at all with Cloudliners, they just need way to many passengers at once and a 60 layover pool won't allow the mixture to be there for it to work. I have one cyclone running alongside the Sequoias right now, no weight upgrades yet because I'm super bux broke. Without the upgrades the Cyclone is pulling in 3k more per hour by the logs. I'll probably keep adding in Cyclones as I add plane slots from here on out to see if they can keep up if it starts to mess the layovers up. I also have two Cloudliners that run from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro to London or Paris with a Seq on each end feeding. These guys are running pretty much non-stop, every now and then I'll be 1 or 2 guys short of a full fill. They're netting double the coin/hr of my Sequoias. The primary reason I added them is that it gives me something more to do when I have the time since the Seqs don't require a lot of interaction. If anyone out there has made interesting tweaks to the plan that are working really great share on!
I'm having this problem too...an enlarged area would be really great! (Maybe...like...the entire right third of the bar is the area...)
About the unload does it work by unloading all if you hold it down until it clicks and unloads everything, and if you hold it till its expanded then let go before it clicks it only unloads for that city? edit don't think so I just had a couple work out that way.
LOL, I just got the award for operating a 10 million population airport in all 6 regions by opening SEATTLE (pop 4million), I already had both NY and LA open in North America, but it seems like maybe opening Seattle is what is needed to make it work. The reason I opened Seattle is it is the closest class 2 to Barrow.
How about the 100 trips to different places awards? Do i have to do them all over again? Totally don't look forward to it.
If you are not playing very often Seqs win out over cyclones by a long shot. This is because you still make decent profit with Seqs if you do not get the 25% bonus where with the Cyclones your profit tanks immediately.
Does anyone know of an FAQ explaining about feeders etc? I'm just curious. Also I am aware it may have been posted earlier but I don't fancy reading through the thousands of posts
Thanks, PMed the code I think. I am travelling and got an iffy internet connection right now. Not positive the PM went through.
^^ This I have a different naming sequence myself. I like to do it like [code for plane range] [x slots]P [y slots] C Where P stand for how many people slots a plane can take and C stands for how many cargo slots a plane can take. EG 1K2PC = 1,000 mile range 2 people slots 1 cargo slot But with the higher ranges I have real trouble fitting it all in
I moss the large amount of bux jobs. Now, I dont have enough bux for a fleet of Seq's. I have 4 cities amd one Seq going back and forth. Why? Why!? Why didnt I listen to you guys when you said save up!
Does anyone know which plane (even with fully upgraded fuel tanks) is the first plane that can go Trans Atlantic (London -> New York). I think it is the pearjet but can anybody confirm this?
Well, my routes are now running nice and smooth. With the latest event I have quite a mix of routes and times. Pezmage route from NY to Shanghai is the set and forget route. Only issue I have with it is over time you will get an excess of either cargo or passengers for any given place. Then I have a bunch of Aeroeagles skimming closer cities for event traffic to move to NY. NY to Goosebay I have several Kangaroos shuttling. My SA to Asia route tends to be a filler route, only used when Shanghai gets enough traffic to fill a plane for the bonus. But now after hitting level 28 and having access to Cloudliners I am thinking of doing a route using a couple of them. One P and one C since the M is so lopsided. Mind you I will need to build some bux up which may take a while. Thanks again Nimblebit for the addiction.......um..... I mean fun game.
New auto loading is cool, hope you guys add it to the parts menu. Hold the sell button - it sells all parts of this particular model.
