Uhrm...the only thing I can think of would be Mexico City > Lagos > Jakarta. Feed Mexico City with L.A. and Jakarta with Manila... feeders are pretty far away so it wouldn't be able to support very many big planes I would imagine. Maybe end in Bangkok instead?
Ya, I think MC to Bangkok looks good as far as straightness. Fairly competitive with Sao Paolo to Mumbai: http://d.pr/i/KHq2
Spent some more time playing around with cities jobs and advertising and this is what i came up with. Lots of empty numbers over 40 refreshes showing that the level of the other cities, class and location has no effect on the number of jobs available. I tried black cities, blue cities, cities spread all over, cities mostly in America, cities mostly in Asia, no change.Amount of Jobs depends on the population and level of the city and the number of possible destination cities but not their population or level. These are for red level 3 cities. 5 cities - 23.04 jobs 5.76 jobs to a destination 7 cities - 31.32 jobs 5.22 jobs to a destination 8 cities - 33.02 jobs 4.71 jobs to a destination 9 cities - 36.52 jobs 4.56 jobs to a destination 11 cities - 40.92 jobs 4.09 jobs to a destination 36 cities - 60.20 jobs 1.72 jobs to a destination (max I could get) Effect of the level of a city on number of jobs Class 2 adds 20% to the number of jobs (maybe 25% actual?) Class 3 adds 50% to the number of jobs Advertising, this one took a little thinking, I used Seoul as my advertising city. This one seems to be based on distance Seoul to Chicago has no affect 15% of my passenger went there when I had 8 cities. 7 possible destinations 14.3% chance of going to that city. Bejing to seoul 26% chance. Looking closer at the number I recorded it also shows 28.4 average passengers in Chicago, 32.5 in New York, both low. 33.2 In Istanbul, about right. and 35.6 In Bejing, high. So it seems that advertising pulls passenger from far away cities to closer ones and converts them into jobs for that city. This would be the case if the total job pool for all cities stays the same, but its hard to count 9 cities before a refresh happens. If this is true then advertising should only be used in the early game when you are flying only short distances. Edit : Or possibly it is increases jobs x a percent as you get closer to the advertising city, only the devs know for sure. My number for this shown as city jobs (jobs to Seoul) 8 cities total though I only counted 4 Chicago 26(3) 38(8) 24(3) 29(3) 27(3) 29(5) 28(5) 24(1) 33(4) 26(8) ave 28.4(4.3) 15.1% New York 32(4) 42(5) 31(3) 31(5) 36(12) 33(4) 32(3) 32(4) 28(7) 28(3) ave 32.5(5.) 15.4% Istanbul 36(8) 24(7) 32(8) 28(3) 33(2) 27(4) 36(8) 38(11) 38(9) 40(9) ave 33.2(6.9) 20.8% Beijing 36(8) 34(12) 37(12) 38(11) 32(4) 35(6) 37(13) 31(5) 35(13) 41(11) ave 35.6(9.5) 26.7% These number are taken over 10 refreshes so they could be wrong but it took like 4 hours to do all this so I wont likely be trying it again.
How any cities did u open in north America? I imagine LA, Chicago and NYC won't be enough if you want to feed Asian and SA flights at the same time. I am thinking of open a route from Asia to SA though. The closeness of Asian cities makes it easier to fill up the layovers.
Heres a handy tip, you can use the bitbook to keep track off how many flights you do in day by only reading it first thing and then seeing how many entrees are in it at the end of the day plus any buying a selling of cities, maybe planes too. edit never mind this does not work
Oh thank goodness this isn't just me. Yes it started as soon as I got my 18th plane spot. It is driving me crazy, I sure hope this bug is fixed when they have their next update. Makes playing it very frustrating. I've been thinking of installing it on my ipad and playing on that to see if the problem continues. I'm sick of it locking up my iphone. Edit: Also is anyone else noticing that when doing the award jobs (eg. honolulu, easter island etc) that it doesn't always count the job delivered to that city.
Getting a little bored after getting most achievements, and being very rich in coins and bux. Is there a plan to introduce more things to do in future?
Tim - thanks for posting on here! The one thing I would like to see added to the game is that you are able to unload as many bitcitizens as you want, irrespective of the layover limit. The consequence of this would be that none of your planes will be able to take off in that city until you are under the layover limit. It is no fun when you are at that limit and you have to unload one bitcitizen and then go to another plane to load him up. Too time consuming and detracts from the enjoyment of the game. And thanks for a great game!
Rio to Kinishia to Mumbai to Seoul. That is the route I am using with my cyclones I am making pretty good profit my daily rev. Went from 200k to 530k but then again I am using two different routes (NY to Bejiing as my second route along with the rip to Seoul route)
Yes but in the far future they will be adding. New planes if you are bored try to get number 1 spot on the next event it kept me busy for 3 days and I was 3 rd out of whole flight crew because 1st and 2nd gained like 2000 jobs in like an hour
Thanks for the work on this! Pretty interesting stuff. I'm thinking of taking advertising out of my routine.
Are Cyclones worth getting? I'm halfway through level 25 with a good few Bux that I can either cash in or save for Cyclones. I have a few Sequioas and can make between 14,000-18,000 a flight. With the Cyclones being fast I'm wondering if I'll only make around the same as my Seqs?
Good route, mine is slightly different, I use the Pez method and my two transfer cities are Kinshasa and Bangalore. That is using Sequioas with 1 fuel tank upgrade. Speaking of which here is the Pez mode in transit, 18 birds in the air! http://jpsthebigfella.imgur.com
Never thought of using those cities as transfer cities. Interesting. I have to admit I find Pezmage's plan easier to follow and not as jumbled. Here is my two routes: LA, Mexico, Chicago <--> NY <-->Shanghai <--> Beijing Seoul, Tokyo Don't really have a feeder in South America yet but wondering if Kinshasa would be a good choice now. Lima, Beunos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio <--> Guangzhou <--> Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo
Hi all, could anyone suggest a new route to try? I was using 8 Aeros and 8 Cloudliners to run Rio, Sao Paulo, Buenos to/from Beijiing, Seoul, Tokyo via Kinshasa. The Aeros had enough time to layover enough jobs in the flight time of the Cloudliners. I went and added 4 Sequoias as feeders (had no Aeros in the hanger) and now I can fill all 4 of my storage ports, and all the Aeros and Sequoias with layovers with about 30 minutes before the Cloudliners return. How can I keep the feeders busy, preferrably without adding too many (or any) more aircraft? Should I get another airport to allow the Sequoias to cross between regions?
When I was doing my North/South American Class 3 city runds I spent a time just concentrating on bux, and while ill the other week I made sure to pick up a load flying past my planes. Also I actually purchased purchased a couple of 200 bux packages when I miss-calculated how many I would need for the Sequioa set-up.
Thanks for all the city/jobber data Spud, that's really awesome. So I decided to open Paris and London instead of N.Y. and Chicago for my speedy route. I only have two cloudliners going up that way currently from Sao Paulo and so far it seems to be working just fine
