How many planes do you have? I find that my money grew exponentially by having more planes, and investing bux into upgrading the planes (but only those actually worth upgrading..) I also found that purchasing airports just at the range of your airplanes generate more cash over longer distances.. but don't overdo it incase your planes don't reach there. Hope this helps.
Everyone in the TA crew will receive 100 bux if they contributed at least 5 drops to the Calgary event.
I couldn't find anyone who has commented on this, but this is not a layover. A layover is when you unload cargo/people at a destination other than the one they want to go to. One of your other planes can pick them up and take them to their final destination. You can only have the number of layovers allowed by the size and level of your airport. Upgrading any airport gives more jobs and layovers. This is helpful so that a short range plane isn't flying coast to coast.
Thanks for that! Yes, going with what others said - I definitely feel the tutorial should have been a bit more comprehensive. Especially when it comes to Events. There is no real explanation of what is going on. From reading what people have said, rather than having everybody in "TOUCHARCADE" Flight Crew, it might make more sense to regionalise the TA crew eg. TOUCHARCADE-AFRICA, TOUCHARCADE-AUS, TOUCHARCADE-ASIA, because those of us who pick any area apart from North America are screwed - since we can't really participate as it will take a long time and many levels to reach the single event from our location. There is no reason why several TA regionalised crews cant dominate the top of the charts. The help within the game needs be to overhauled to reflect this. When you are in the "events" section and click on the "i" in the top corner, the popup that appears says "Here you can view all the events that are currently active in the world" - well DUH!! - kind of obvious when I am staring at a bunch of cities and whats going on in them. I need the help to actually tell me how to get involved! As I am based in Africa, I changed to another crew to test and I see Mombasa is highlighted in the events section with "Fog" listed as the event, and when I click it - it takes me to the map with the words "click on a city to buy" even though I have bought it already. So again, there is no actually obvious way on how to participate.
Drops = jobs. Purchase the Calgary airport and send cargo/people with blue text there, five times. If your planes can't reach Calgary, good luck!
i think having a good mix of both P and C early on is better. M gets better once you get those Big cities to unlock
I find good way to get money is if you have 2 ppl on a plane going to different places, dont do a complete flight, stop at shorter place. Drop 1 person off and hope theres someone else going to the last place to join the 2nd guy... If you understand what i mean lol!
Hi Guys, I have 7 EU cities, all minor ones. Should I save up for a major city to gain revenue or continue to buy more smaller city airports? Been playing for about 7 hrs and still not really made any huge progress.
Its a shame you cant visit other players like you could in Tiny Tower. Would love to see how others are doing.
Well I bought the airports according to the event in Calgary. So I bought the airports that are cheap that are less than 10k. This allowed me to have a route to calgary and send most of my planes there.
i do this all the time too lol especially if i want to get back to the bigger cities yet i dont have a full load back. i make a sidetrip and hopefully that maximizes my space for my last stop to the big hubs.
i have Shanghai and Tokyo and a vast network of minor cities to complement them yet i feel my revenue pace has ramped up. try maximizing your routes and get planes with more space. oh. shorter distance flights require constant attention (checking your phone or ipod) so some might not be able to find this feasible esp during work hours. another thing i do is get my higher space flights as regular runs between two cities as most of the time they maximize the space. hope that helps a bit for you. =)
