Buggy? No, almost certainly working as intended. The focus is just based around the planes, not the cities. So it will generally focus back on the last plane you viewed. By switching planes, you can cut out a LOT of scrolling. 20 airports will probably still suck, though. I agree, that would be awesome.
No thank you, I already have a Starship and may need to give away some extra pieces. I say offer it to someone who needs it.
Hey guys i'm new to the thread and was looking for some advice, here's what I have so far: Airports: Los Angeles, San Diego (current event), Phoenix, Dallas, Monterey, Houston, NY, Philly, D.C., Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Miami, ATL, Mexico City, Guatemala, and Bogota. Bux: 144 Coins: 50k Planes: Wallaby-P, Navigator-C, Kangaroo-P, Anan-P, Airvan-P, Birchcraft-M, Mohawk-M, Mohawk-C, Birchcraft-P, Birchcraft-C, and a Pearjet-M. None of my airports are upgraded, i havent advertised. How do you guys think I should proceed? Where on the map should I expand, should I add more planes, if so which planes? Should I upgrade any airports? ALL HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED, and if you want to add me on GC, nspredator55, thanks in advance!
Is there a way to remove a plane upgrade? I've upgraded speed on a couple of my planes and have decided I really don't need them to get there faster (at the sacrifice of profits). Would like to downgrade their speed. Any way to do that? I want to keep the range & weight upgrades.
All contributions toward the Global Event are appreciated regardless of how many. They all add up to help us all. I've done 3119 San Diego jobs and will call it quits, I think TA is guaranteed a win at this point with the huge lead we have ahead of the #2 Flight Crew (anyone know who that is?)
I'd try to spread the airports furthe apart instead of having them all bunched up together. Try to close some class 2 (blue dot) airports while transitioning to class 3 (red dot) airports. I wouldn't spend coins on upgrading airports you know you will close I the future. Save your coins for upgrading class 3 airports you will keep for a long time (such as Los Angeles and New York, good 10mil population class 3 keepers).
It IS possible for that to be the case, as I don't see how they'd of been able to cheat (unless you have any ideas?). But... do world event jobs refresh when you're not connected to the net - I presume they do but not tested it? I'm not sure what get's sent to the app and what's already built in (for example, Dani on the getsatisfaction Nimblebit forum said that the Pilot's of our planes actually have birthdays that the game currently doesn't show - the idea being discounted flights on those birthdays or something like that in a future update... so are the world events dates actually built in to the game too or are they downloaded to the app via the net...?). It is possible to use bux though. Space for 30 planes, chuck 10 or 15 class ones onto routes to San Diago and use bux to deliver immediately? There are enough airports in the vicinity, especially if you fly in jobs from oversees and chuck them all into LA for the short dash over - say all those class one planes are Kangaroos with the 4 spaces... in this example, 4(jobs) x 15(planes) = 60(jobs per sped up flight). If those planes did 1 run every 2 minutes for an hour, that's 1,800 jobs. They could be cheating, but it could still be genuine. Maybe ask Nimblebit on the getsatisfaction forum to look at the history of those 2 accounts to better determine if there might be anything suspicious? That would be. COOL. Does anyone know anywhere we can find out the total number of people that are part of the TouchArcade crew? And the names of other crews in the top 10? It's frustrating not knowing! Second that. (atleast for the first day of the event. Now I just work hard on my shift so I can check in to the game more often whilst there : ) Currently #46 with 1,424 jobs delivered, highest was 15th. Pushing now to get into the top 30 before it ends in 5 hours!
I'm only a pocket planes newbie, but somehow I've managed to acquire TWO parts for a starship in the 'space' of an hour. I think that they supply mystery parts in groups of three as I got two of them in Los Angeles and have another one waiting to be delivered. Seeing as I based my company in Australia, I have a Brichcraft M sitting in Melbourne airport with a mystery part on board with absolutely no way of getting it to San Deigo. I think I will need to make a string of class 2 and 3 airports from Australia all the way to America, so I don't think I'll be delivering that 3rd mystery part any time soon!
In the 'space' of an hour? That's 'out of this world'... lol. Not as good was it. You only have 5 hours left to get those mystery parts over there, but to be honest, it may not be worth it. If you're in the TouchArcade crew and have delievered your 5 jobs, you'll get your Starship anyway without the cost and effort of traversing the (flat) globe. It sure is fast at 400mph... make sure you 'KLINGON' to your seat! Lol... *shame faced*
