It depends on what direction you want to go. Where do you want to expand into? Once you get Aerojet and Pearjets - you may want to consider going intercontinetal - and slim down the # of north american airports

I have a Pearjet ready to build. Are they any good? Also, should I get rid of a Mohawk or a Kangaroo, to make space for the pear jet?
    Thanks guys!

Pearjets can go from London to New York with enough range upgrades. Aeroeagles (level 16) are better, so don't replace your whole fleet with Pearjets, but if you've got the parts for one of them I'd build it.
Replace the Mohawk, Kangaroos are kool.

Ah, I gotcha. I don't use Ms at all, because of the extra load time (on the user end). But I see what you mean.

I suppose if I had gone all-p or all-c it wouldn't be a problem. I like M's because it's way easier to maintain an evenly distributed layover pool. I use aeroeagle Ms to load. 10 full eagles = 30/30 layovers (I never fly a plane to a fed city unless it's full and never make my layover pool go uneven). With Ps and Cs I run into the possibility of having an over-load of one or the other and then I would imagine things get irritating. Have a few unlucky job refreshes and you'll be a plane down on one end, compounded over a couple days can throw your layovers out of whack. I suppose that's just my special brand of OCD at work though.

That is...perhaps, PERHAPS mind you, a little bit OCD. :) But I would sooner put you in charge of United, Delta, or FedEx than me!

I just can't deal with the length of names you have to scroll through when looking at "All" the jobs. It gets pretty nutty on a fully upgraded, fully stocked 10M city.

Replace all of those except the Kangaroo and Birchcraft. Replace them with Kangroos and Birchcrafts (and Pearjets for New York/London when you get them).

Buy Honolulu - Birchcrafts can fly there, and it's far west so jobs from/to there to cities to the east will be worth a lot.

Here's a list of all the planes and their stats allowing you to easily compare them: http://pocketplaneswiki.com/List_of_Planes

Yeah my thumbs have "learned" where the important parts of the lists tend to be. I can scroll down to the end of my layover slots for unloads before the list refreshes to that point >.> Otherwise the important bits tend to be above the layovers, so I guess it isn't that bad. But when I'm going local it is a total pain in the behind to scroll through 70-80 slots to get to what I want.

Totally unrelated. Has anyone else noticed that as you get deeper into the game it crashes more? The game crashes on me all the time, most often right after I've sent a plane out.

Pearjet are expensive for my taste - but they are fast. At max range upgrade they can cross atlantic from Boston => Madrid.

Yea that happens to me a lot also I have no idea when I first starte it didn't crash at all by the time I got to level 10 it only crashed a little bit but now since I am level 23 it crashes when I am just looking at the jobs :(

Here's a breakdown of all the planes' marginal profit/mi and marginal profit/hr. Someone's probably posted something similar, but I spent an afternoon on this and figured I might as well post it anyway in case anyone finds it useful.

These profit numbers fall out of the expense expression at http://pocketplaneswiki.com/Flight_Economics. I made a couple of assumptions about user behavior that may not be useful for everyone. First, that all planes with capacity from 2–6 (up to the AeroEagle, basically) are flying with the 1.25 bonus multiplier in effect, and that anything larger is being used primarily to shuttle transfers. I haven't even gotten to Class 3 planes yet, so that might not be a realistic assumption for everyone's style of play. And second, I assumed all planes were at a level 3 weight reduction, which I approximated with a weight multiplier of 0.84 in my spreadsheet (the game only displays the weight to the nearest 1/10th of a ton and the rounding doesn't always seem consistent).

I certainly don't have all of my planes at level 3 weight upgrades, but I eventually hope to, so in a sense, the spreadsheet reflects the choices necessary to build my idealized fleet, at some point in the future.

If you find it useful, you can RT it at https://twitter.com/alshain/status/222878876680990720...otherwise, I'm sure it'll get buried in this thread. :)

I'm feeling similarly. I still keep some flights going, have vague interest in upgrading my planes, and will probably go all in for a special event rare plane if I see another. But whatever magic had me completely entralled the first 10 levels has been steadily falling over the next five. I think it's just become apparent that the only obstacle to bux/coins is time. And it's gotten to where unlocking new planes has become slow enough, even though I have plenty of bux saved up, that it's harder to plug on for the next one.

In some ways it seems like a bad design. Because other than the first few levels I don't think more bux/coins would benefit me significantly since I'm level-locked from better planes anyway. Once I got past level five, I lost all temptation of spending real money, though I do believe the game itself has earned it. I dunno, just rambling I guess. Still an amazing amount of fun for a whole lot of hours.

Damn cool spreadsheet! I'd like to see a marginal profit per bitizen on each plane too if you think that would be an easy number to get out of your figures!

Hmm, well, you can't get a meaningful expression for purely marginal profit/bitizen out of the algebra, but I can just normalize the $/mi and $/hr values by the carrying capacity—is that what you meant?

I'm not even sure what that would mean though...the resulting expression still depends on the number of passengers itself (in this case, the maximum capacity)...so I guess it's a measure of how important it is to get the last seat on the plane filled?

It's not great really, just a collectors item. Honestly it just sits in my hangar unless I need it for class 1 special event.

Well, by my calculations, it's the 5th most profitable plane in the game by profit/mile (large capacity and it's so slow it burns less fuel), better than any Class 2 plane. So if you're playing in short bursts during your commute, get your planes sent off, and then come back later after they've all landed, it's one of the most profitable planes out there. Same goes for the blimp...

Well its the largest capacity class 1 aircraft. In general that might not be useful but for events it can be helpful. But yes mostly it's about the rarity.

Suggestions on what I should do next?

So I completly rethought my whole strategie

    I am currently level 23
Airline value of almost 3 mil.
My average daily Revenue is about 312k (kinda low for my level right?)
I am using 11 out of 26 airports.

Current route L.A. to Tokyo (making stops at NY, London, and Tehran)
My feeder cities are Bejiing and Shanghai feeding Tokyo with L.A jobs (I know it's back feeding I just don't know what's better to back feed or lose the amount of money from sending Bejiing jobs instead.) My feeder cities in North America is Honolulu it obviouslly feeds Tokyo jobs to LA (wondering if I should get another feeder city because Layovers aren't filling as fast and I waste a lot of time waiting for jobs because I have no layovers)

My Tokyo airport constantly has layovers I don't need to worry about Tokyo but LA never have layovers :/ (BTW is Nimblebit going to raise the amount of layovers in one city? I could really use that for my Tokyo airport my feeder planes are always waiting for my jobber planes to pick up some layovers so I can deliver more layovers to Tokyo.)

My feeder planes are currently 2 Aeroeagles P and 2 Aeroeagles C (one of each on either side)( should I change my feeder planes to something else? Like Aeroeagle M?) My Jobber planes are Sequoia M's I have 4 of them moving the jobs to their destination all have upgraded weight all of the way but no range upgrades yet... (should I do range upgrades? I really don't need it.. For now atleast)

Suggestions on what I should do next anyone???
