I'm now level 21 and I'm doing L.A to Tokyo making stops at N.Y London Tehran bejing and then Tokyo. Honolulu and San francisco are feeding L.A with Tokyo job and Beijing and shanghai feeding Tokyo with L.A jobs. My jobber planes are two aeroeagles P and two aeroeagles C one on each side of the trade route. I have a pearjet p and pearjet c going from Honolulu to L.A dropping off Tokyo jobs. And equinox p and equinox c going from San Francisco to L.A dropping off Tokyo jobs also. I have a fogbusters p, fogbusters C, and a fogbuster m in the hangar and I would like to use them but I need help on what should I upgrade on the fogbusters or should I just wait for the sequoias?? Please answer I would like to get further along in the game and make a lot more money to expand Also do you think it is a good idea to buy Seoul as another city for my jobber planes to stop at? My tokyo layover is constantly full and I have upgraded it all the way and I think it is a good idea to move some layovers to Seoul and maybe to use that as another end point since Tokyo is constantly full with layovers and I hate to see layovers be unused, that's just money out the window :/ Give me your opinion
I'm close to level 5 and thinking about buying some Airvan planes. What's the best strategy for that level? Buying P and C planes or only buying M planes? Thanks for any strategic help.
Well I already had Beijing, so I just had to buy Harbin and Magadan. Upgraded Kangaroos can get from Harbin to Magadan.
I made a mistake in that the Sea Knight won't reach Harbin from Magadan. I was looking at a different airport But the Kangaroo works with two range upgrades so that is the best one to use.
Found this website thanks to google and was amazed of the amount of people talking about Pocket Planes! Im now level 6 Planes: Bearclaw P, Griffon C, Navigator P, Navigator C, Navigator M, Wallaby P and Airvan C Cities: Amsterdam, Brussels, Lyon, Berlin and Munich 11.320 coins and 12 bux I think I can do alot better, so please feel welcome to help me out or bash my current game
Looking for - Mohawk P - Body + Engine Airvan P - Engine Will give a whole Supergopher P GC - Calroy98
Thanks for that, but Harbin is a bigger airport so there will be more jobs and I doubt I will be able to get 5 jobs going to a 0.1m population airport. The kangaroo-m is fine for me.
I was waiting for my next expansion at level 22 when I can purchase Sequoias but changed my mind once I got there because I like the flow right now with (LA,CH)-->NY=LN=TH=BJ<--(SE,TK). Since Sequoias are not going to allow me to skip anymore hops and I play casually I decided trying to fill 10 spots for each trip wasn't the best idea. So, instead of upgrading to those planes I purchased a couple of more Aeroeagles and upgraded TK and LA. Here is my current plan. Some of you experts might be able to point out something I am missing.... Planes: (1) Pearjet-c (bux only runs) (1) Pearjet-p (bux only runs) (4) Birchcraft-c (feeders) (4) Birchcraft-p (feeders) (2) Aeroeagle-c (transatlantic flights) (2) Aeroeagle-p (transatlantic flights) What I am going to try is to run four transatlantic flights (2) of each type. flight path 1 LA<==NY==LN==TH==>BJ flight path 2 NY<==LN==TH==BJ==>TK I know LA to TK is a longer flight but doing it this way removes one hop from each trip. It also allows my feeder planes to stick to runs only between three cities. Not much changes from my original NY<==>BJ flight path other than now I will be feeding two major hubs on each side with the appropriate fares. I can see where upgrading to the larger planes might come in handy later but by then I will probably be approaching level 26 and will be able to purchase cyclones to drop a few hops out of the flight path. Anyone see anything wrong with my logic?
Thanks for this. But more than slightly disappointing. Guess I'll try to get events close to 1k and stop, hoping they change it in the near future. I'm particularly surprised it doesn't put a check mark, or acknowledge in some way it's been completed. Probably later on their do to list is to decide what to do about them
My cites are laid out like this: Feeders x3 --> Hub --> Intermediates --> Hub --> Feeders x3 My Sequoias (well, they will all be sequoias when I have enough parts, currently only some are!) fly mainly between the hubs, usually carrying a random mixture of jobs for the opposite feeder airports but occasionally carrying a full load of jobs for the opposite hub. The feeder aeroplanes (Kangaroos and Birchcrafts) are the ones that usually deliver jobs to their final destinations, meaning I only need 4 jobs going the same place at once to get the 25% bonus. So there's no need to wait for 10 jobs all going to the same destination.
Whichever you prefer really. Mine are all mixed, but using seperate person and cargo planes works just as well.
That is the opposite of how I have been doing it for the bonus. Do you still get the same amount for the 25% bonus? Hmm.... ...that would certainly be easier to maintain using the larger planes that way.
