Maybe throw in Mexico City? I've also thought about Dallas. Distance between the airports slows things down quite a bit tho. If you try it out let me know, really curious if this is viable
Yeah I was thinking about Mexico City too but the distance just sucks. The L.A. distance sucks too. I'm going to try to see how 4 feeders on each end works, and then I might have to add some to North America. I bet 4 will be enough in Asia. I'm thinking two that just go back and forth from N.Y. to Chicago, and then two that go to L.A. and back. Same in Asia, but the two go to Tokyo or Seoul. I'm going to have to do some serious color coding and plane naming. Been loading Chicago and Shanghai up with layover for the past 30 mins or so and it's mildly confusing lol.
Mostly read the thread and get an idea if how to expand your flight routes utilizing C3 airports and longer distances. However, even when I started running the Beijing to NY route my coin rate slowed but my bux rate seems to have increased a lot. I am currently level 21 and have 3,200+ bux and only a little over 400,000 coins. I'm not worried about it though because I can always turn in 1000 bux for a quick mill in coins for my next expansion at level 22. For now, I am running the (LA, Chicago)-->NY<=London=Teheran=>Beijing<--(Seoul, Tokyo) route. The way I am doing it might be a bit different. I do not use mixed planes. I have 1 cargo and 1 passenger plane for each feeder location, plus 1 cargo pearjet and 1 passenger pearjet for bux only runs and 1 cargo and 1 passenger aeroeagle for the NY<==>Beijing flights. I never pass up bux and park them at my next stop regardless. I then use my pearjets to make trips collecting a full load before they make the transatlantic flight to deliver. I try to get five of the same city for the bonus to offset the cost of the flight but it's not common. It usually costs me around 3k (sometimes less, sometimes more) in coins to make the flight but I get anywhere from 20-30+ bux each trip. I think it is worth it, others might not. If I get backlogged with bux passengers I will toss a few to complete a bonus on my regular flights. The way I do it, bux are always the priority. Saving them up to turn in 1000 at a time I get 1000 coins per bux. Even one 5 bux passenger is worth 5000 coins doing it that way. I'm actually considering turning in 1500 or 2000 coins to increase the profit even more. Keep in mind, I also play slow. I don't have time to play constantly so it takes patience. Lots of patience.
Noob Time Nimblebit should give the passengers and pilot a little more actions other than sleeping, blinking, and yawning.
Maybe Bitizens on thier myPhones or eating. Hows about hiring workers? Or plane problems? Something that will be completly by surprise to make the game more challenging. (Half alive over here.)
Looks like the latest Global Event is in Magadan(c1). My little Kangaroo can't even make it there from Tokyo(c3) or Beijing(c3). A 2x upgraded Kangaroo can make the hop from Harbin(c2) to Magadan.
So far every world event has also appeared in the events section of menu with a -/1000 stat next to it so there 'could' be a personal reward waiting you the day you hit that 1k so yea... Now that I know that, ill be throwing everything ive got at every event
I'm expanding east, so the next event is a natural progression for me. I've got Mumbai, Tehran and Moscow. Pears and birch crafts but willing to expand my roster. Thoughts on cities to buy to get there? Can my pears make it there?
Well I don't know what level u are or what planes u have, but I would say Moscow is a bit of a waste. It really doesn't have many links, however tehran and mumbai are a gd move. With London and these two, it's able to go LA, NY, London, Tehran, Mumbai and then an Asian city like Seoul. But I'd need to know more to give better advice.
Thanks for the reply. I'm level 19. I already have those cities and looking to see what I need to buy to get to the next event in Magadan. (sp?) Moscow was a left over from a previous event, and I haven't killed it because I do mos-London-ny-la runs that can be quite lucrative.
That's what I meant by multi-feeder routes in that PM I sent you earlier Pez. I was wondering why you were only doing N.Y. to Beijing without running another route. It's much more efficient because feeders essentially don't waste trips. Which brings up again the question of efficiency as you mentioned just now. North America or South America? North America has the benefit of only 1 transition city (which means less jobs stolen from the main routes) while South has 2. But South America's Class 3 cities are located in a much tighter area which is very good for feeder runs. I only have 2 feeders on each side right now and I can constantly keep all 3 pairs of my airports close to full at 40-60 layovers, which is pretty insanely efficient. I'm not sure I can keep that up if I switch to North America without adding feeders planes, which of course, means I have to have less big planes running the main route.
I'd keep it open, personally. Flying to Tokyo makes me about 300 more coins per person/ cargo than LA. That's a nice little sum when flying a few over.
Since yesterday afternoon one of my airports is "currently closed" and I have to pay to reopen it. Can anyone explain to me if I have to pay that fee or if it will reopen soon by itself?
A friend of mine did because he wanted to show me how he got to level 10 faster. :/ I've now reset my game since I do not like time cheating in a game. Wasn't that advanced anyway.
I finished one of the 1000 job events a little while back and I can confirm that there is no reward. There isn't even a check mark on the box. The box just goes away once you complete it and you can even redo the event when it if it shows up again.
Im ruined! Ive spent all 300 bux on 3 Fogbusters! Noooooo! It took me 2 weeks to get all thoes bux. Ill never get them back now.
