I still got 4 Huey controls and 1 Huey body, any1 need some? I would like to trade them for fogbuster> aeroeagle parts Message me
I want to get rid of my Birchcrafts and my Equinox and replace them with Aeroeagles. And open up a route to Honolulu from Osaka. OR Save up all my coins and bux for several Class 3 planes and airports. OR Stay where I running Madrid, Baghdad, Hyderabad, and Osaka. Im a Level 19 with 300+ bux and 300+ coins. 8 planes. Currently doing an event at Madrid on my route. Which seems the best option?
5k a flight isnt to difficult. my example : i have chicago, los angeles, mexico and new york. i have my class 2 pearjets bring everything for tokyo to new york. at new york i load up a full haul to tokyo and head off. 5k is pretty easy. want even more bigger numbers? grab a few small airports that are farther away from north america than tokyo and have a few small jets in tokyo to finish the haul the fogbuster brings over.
los angeles -> new york -> london -> tehran -> bangkok -> tokyo is my established route from my pearjet's that are fully upgraded. now that im breaking in to class 3 aircraft ill be redoing the london to tokyo portion as im pretty sure a fully upgraded f.buster can eliminate a jump between the two.
Oh and my first fogbuster is fully upgraded, collecting parts for a second one now. I know I'll grow out of these birds soon but hey, bux are so damn easy to come by in this game that I'm not worried
Oh, I see. I've been using this calculator and you can skip bangkok with only one fuel upgrade http://www.therustysnowman.com/proj/pocketplanes.php So then after you complete the route from LA to tokyo, you go from tokyo to LA right? How would you have the layovers in tokyo?
I am setting this up as we speak but am thinking ill have two pearjets minimum at the tokyo side ill pick up maybe seoul and shanghai (cuz the names are cool) and let them feed tokyo the return deliveries.

Let me know
Argh! Djibouti just went down for fog, which was my connection between tehran and mahajanga... and has 2 of my c1 aircraft trapped -opens up aden next to it and continues working that achievement-
Ahh I see. I'm setting Seoul as my end location, since I want to keep Karachi and wouldn't be able to reach Tokyo. But I'll use Tokyo to feed return deliveries, just the opposite of yours haha ^^ Thanks so much for the help!
I've thought about it a bit more and am thinking of adjusting my projected system. I have new york as the collection point for the whole american continent and it makes sense to have a c3 go no further than that point as c2 aircraft can reach everything on the continent and a c3 consumes too much fuel. Loss of profit. Given that pattern of thought, i may use bangkok as the drop off point for my asian end and open up a few c3 ports around tokyo. That way the c3 birds can minimize stops, saving fuel and they will by flying passengers/cargo much further out in both directions.
I would like some part to build either a Warhawk or a Sea Knight. I can exchange for a equinox-p or a kangaroo-m. I can also find other part for other planes. My Game center name is Aldaer, please fill free to add me. Thanks !
I don't recommend Pearjets for feeding (or at all really) they're too fast and thus the cost is too high. I think Aeroeagles are much better suited
Just a suggestion. Wouldn't it make more sense to have Beijing or Shanghai as your focus point in Asia? Bangkok seems too far from the feeders without really increasing the value by the same amount you'd get from the jobbers brought in.
@TheRustySnowman Funny I was just looking at that bird. Stat charts show just barely behind the pear, but the aero has more hauling space. tymuch @Pezmage That whole side of my system isn't set up yet, tymuch for the advice!
Hey TheRustySnowman I love your tool, it's a lot of fun just poking around trying to see what works and what doesn't for my routes. My suggestion is to allow for impossible routes to be calculated. I'd like to compare routes to the straightline route if possible, even if my planes can't make it. So I'd like to see what the profit would be if you just went New York > Beijing, so I can see how far off a route is from perfect. Other than that, super fun tool, glad you're a part of the community!
Actually all that data is in the tool I just need to find an uncluttered presentation for it. The aim is that next to the distance, time, cost and the like it could show the opimal end to end. That would show how far from straight the route is. I'll have a play and get it visible tomorrow.
Word of advice: don't bother with low level feeders, imo. I know that the high end consensus is to do so, but it has its own kind of inefficiency. Sequoias are essentially the end-game planes for maximum overall efficiency, assuming you aren't playing nearly constantly throughout the day. With them you can carry 10 things. Do so! Nearly always. The idea with layovers is to keep shuffling things closer to their ultimate destination, and to use between 50 and 60 of the slots at all times. The most important airports are the ones SECOND FROM THE END of your route, on both ends. There's where you should be picking up your 25% bonuses, so that you get the bonus on your last leg of the journey. Mostly, the feeder strategy seems to be to only pick up people who are going to the farthest ends of the line. Don't do this. Instead, always fill your Seq's with the most lucrative jobs, and keep those planes in the sky. Every feeder plane you use is a lost opportunity to move more people per slot per hour.
