I've never gifted nor been gifted nor traded anything in Pocket Planes, is it just based on trust? Or is there some kind of trading mechanism in the game?
Oh man, that gives me bad flashbacks from older online games that didn't have a trade interface and you had to drop-trade or do some other thing that involved trust and huge amounts of ridiculous scamming, heh.
Quick question. In general are M type planes better since they allow both cargo and passengers or is it better to have planes of type c or p that concentrate on one type of transport?
is there any way to get from: montreal/ottawa/detroit/philadelphia to: cape town/port elizabeth/johannesburg
I prefer the M's to be honest, that's all I've been using. I didn't use pearjets much, because their Ms aren't equal, and I also skipped the Tetra for the same reason. I'm currently gearing up to set Cloudliners out, and am going to have them flying in pairs of P and C, since their M is way out of whack as well. For feeding I use Aeroeagle-Ms
I saw something a couple pages back and now I can't find it any more so would anyone like to help me? I sort of remember what the person said but not that sure... It was something like this " use seoul as a feeder city to bejing and then send it to some city" It's in the area of China and Japan and I would like to know since I just made a transatlantic flight from North America to Europe and would like to continue moving west, but that trading formation really interested me and I would like to build there so if anyone knows please reply Thank you very much.
Are you referring to the route that mwadsit mentioned? I believe it was : Seoul to Rio, via Mumbai & Kinshasa I don't recall which specific feeder cities. They would be one or two cities nearby Seoul and one or two cities nearby Rio.
I had that happen but only for a few seconds. Thre was a warning buzzer then the plane straightened out.
I'm sure there is a way, and the answers will vary depending on which plane type is the best one in your fleet (and to some extent, which airports you own). Knowing your best plane will let us know your max range and this info would help in determining a possible route for you. Knowing which airports you own helps people offer suggestions using your existing airports (with minimal additional airport purchases) ... Unless coins aren't a problem and you're prepared to but several airports in the process. Here is one example route I could use, using an upgraded PearJet and the airports I already own: Philadelphia - New York - London - Kinshasa - Johannesburg If you're doing the Global Event to Cape Town, then hop onto a class 1 plane/shuttle (such as a Kangaroo) to go to Cape Town.
Or maybe you're referring to jdrawmer's New York to Beijing route? Any nearby city (such as Seoul) could feed layovers to Beijing. Any nearby city (such as Chicago) could feed layovers to New York. You'd use a smaller plane to take New York bound passengers from Seoul to Beijing. Then a larger long distance plane picks up all the New York bound passengers from Beijing and takes them to New York. Do the same thing on the other end of the route. Use a small feeder plane to take Beijing bound passengers from Chicago to New York. Then a larger plane picks up all the Beijing bound passengers from New York and takes them to Beijing..
Just as I finish this goddamn addictive game, I find myself wanting to collect EVERY rare plane I can get! So I am offering ANY plane you want, for rare planes. Wishlist Anything but a Sea Knight! PM me and my GameCenter is Jai127
Just to let you know, the only ones apart from the Sea Knight that have been available are the Huey and the Warhawk. They have only been available from events so far. Trade requests go in the trading / gift thread - I'm just about to post there with a list of Huey, Warhawk and Sea Knight parts I have.
Just curious, has anybody finished a local event and gotten a plane as a reward? There's a Concorde ceremony event, and there's a Concorde in the plane list, so maybe...
I'm about to hit level 12. - Should I get Pearjets when they're available or wait for Aeroeagles? - Is there a ratio I should have between airports and airplanes? - How many airplanes should I be running? I also saw this route posted: "Sao Paulo - Kimshasa - Mumbai - Seoul Tokyo feeding Seoul and Santiago feeding Sao Paulo" What does it mean by feeding? Thanks for taking the time to look over this post.
I went to Pearjets for a few levels and then phased them out ASAP as they're expensive and have imbalanced P/C for the mixed version Feeding is having smaller planes pick up and unload passengers/cargo at your hubs. So load stuff at Tokyo that wants to go to Rio. Then fly to Seuol and unload it. It gets put in a layover state meaning it won't disappear. Your big airplanes come along later and pick them up. The aim is that you keep big planes full of passengers/cargo to the same place for the 25% bonus.
It looks like there isn't very much interest in the current Cape Town Global Event due to the crappy rewards ... cuz I just noticed that I'm ranked #40 and I haven't even been trying very hard for this event. LOL Do you guys like your Cloudliners? I can build the Cloudliner but don't think I'm ready for it yet since I haven't quite gotten a handle on getting my Fogbusters/Cyclones fully loaded whenever they land at my hub cities. I've decided to slow down my game play after seeing some of you exhaust this game. I don't want to end up like my Tiny Tower where I have nothing left to build, only minor tweaking left (like getting the best skilled workers, complete the missions, etc).
