I now have Salvador, and Lagos too, as I have now bought a level 2 plane.

  4. I'm gonna say Rio or Osaka

I think having too many airports "dilutes" the job pool, so it becomes harder to get a bunch of jobs going to the same place. I don't have any concrete numbers to support this, but it seems to be the trend when I open/close airports.

Deliver 1000 cargo/passengers and then you will be rewarded a fancy check mark next to the event showing its completion.

Still questioning if this has been confirmed. Have you completed one fully yourself yet?

The key to making the Fogbuster (or any of the larger airplanes, from PearJet/AeroEagle and up) profitable is to to fill it up with passengers/cargo going to the SAME city so you can benefit from the 25% bonus.

I fill my Fogbusters with 8 P/C going to Shanghai or 8 P/C going to New York. Similarly with my Cyclone which gets 12 P/C going to Shanghai or 12 P/C going to New York. I do not mix destinations on these planes. My profit/hour for the Cyclone is 12,000 and my profit/hour for the Fogbuster is 7000. This profit would be considerably less if I load it with mixed destinations.

Has anyone done the Madagascar job already? It's been hanging at 83% for a few days now, even though I deliver more cargo and people there. Also, I noticed I got the transatlantic award, but when I look at GC it's gone. And finally... Flying boxes is at 99%, while cargo crazy is already at 35% (which should approximately be 3500 cargo)

    I totally understand that feeling!!!
I check in and go down the list of planes. If I can't send a plane off right away, I move on to the next plane and come back to it in a few minutes when the job list refreshes. It seems like by the time I finish going through it all, something else lands and I'm not quite free to put the game down yet...

I still haven't figured out how to gather enough layovers at my hubs so that I can load up my Cyclone/Fogbuster when it lands ... they always have to wait to completely load up.
One of my challenges is having too many Passengers and not enough Cargo (I use M planes).

If you load up a fogbuster (or any plane) with passengers for 2 cities, drop them at a hub and use two seperate flights to shuttle them from the hub to their final destination, as long as the shuttle flights are full with bonus you make the same money you would with a 1 city fog buster. No need to waste time waiting for a big plane to get jobs to one single city.

    Need advice for increasing layovers

I could use some advice for increasing the number of layovers in my hub cities. I can't seem to maintain a steady supply so my big Cyclone/Fogbuster planes end up waiting multiple job refreshes before they can set off again.

    Here's my setup:

    MY AIRPORTS:
Honolulu, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York
London, Paris, Berlin, Istanbul, Tehran, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo
(I'm going to remove Berlin & Istanbul soon. I keep thinking about removing Honolulu, but have been keeping it around so I can send batches of those 10 Bux jobs there)

MAIN ROUTE: New York <---> Shanghai
    1 Cyclone and 2 Fogbusters
These planes always take off with FULL flights going to ONLY Shanghai or ONLY New York.
(Always gets the 25% bonus, there are no mixed destination flights on these planes)

    LAYOVER FEEDERS:
1 Aeroeagle takes Shanghai P/C from Chicago to New York.
1 Aeroeagle takes Shanghai P/C from Los Angeles to New York.
1 Aeroeagle takes New York P/C from Beijing to Shanghai.
1 Aeroeagle takes New York P/C from Tokyo to Shanghai.

    JOBBERS:
    6 Aeroeagles & 2 PearJets
These planes run around anywhere between Honolulu and Tokyo to pick up the random Bux or C/P. They always fly fully loaded, preferably with 25% bonus but will also take off with a mixed destination load.

My Cyclone/Fogbuster planes are M types, so they take an even number of P & C. I tend to get more P layovers than C layovers, so my planes often have to wait several job refreshes (or for one of the FEEDER planes to land) before it can round out the C spots and then take off. This is driving me nuts!!! I want to load them up immediately and send them off again as soon as they land.

I really don't like the thought of adding 1 extra FEEDER plane to each side (one more to feed to New York, and one more to feed to Shanghai). I'm already feeling overwhelmed by the "micromanaging" required to keep all my planes in flight. :(

I'm wondering whether it might be easier to load up my planes if I switched them to P-only or C-only planes. Buying one or two new planes (+upgrades) shouldn't be a problem, however I'd be hard pressed to replace all my planes since I only have 3900 Bux.

Oddly, I do something similar to this with my smaller planes (Aeroeagles & Pearjets), but not for my Fogbusters/Cyclone. Hmm.... may have to rethink how I use those bigger planes!

Just repeating what I read in earlier posts, cause we all know if we read it on the Internet then it is true :)

I'm so glad the new Global Event is in Philly, a class 2 city (instead of a class 1) and I can jump on board right away since I'm already based in North America. :D

And the prize this time is a Sea Knight -- a full plane I think, not just one part.
It's not a very useful plane to me, but I now understand it is desirable to collectors.

I'm wondering whether I'll eventually get a Blimp. I know it's slow and impractical ... but I keep thinking it would be a neat one to use for the Nome-Wellington trip. I wonder how long that trip would take in a Blimp...
