    I need a suggestion.

    Level 16
    300k gold
    286 bux

    Airports (12)
    Harbin
    Shenyang
    Beijing
    Xiang
    Guangzoh
    Hong Kong
    Taipei
    Tokyo
    Osaka
    Seoul
    Shanghai
    Karachi

I started out in Japan so I want to move on to bigger things. I'm quite overwhelmed with a lot of information from other people's posts. I'm willing to use up buxs to replace my current fleet. Could anyone suggest me a path of airports+fleet of airplanes?

I'm running Seuol to Rio via Mumbai and Kinshasa at level 18. 4 Aeroeagles and 3 Pearjets running back and forth. Birchcraft feed the ends from Tokyo and Sao Paulo. I've upgraded Seuol, Rio, Tokyo and Sao Paolo.

It's an almost perfectly straight route meaning its almost as efficient as they come.

Aero eagles making just over 6k per ~1h10m flight, Pearjets doing just over 4k in ~55m

This is same as what I do, except with slightly larger aircraft (Cyclones and Aeros as the feeders). Except to make it a perfectly straight route use Seoul to Sao Paulo and feed the ends from Tokyo and Rio. I think this also prevents having to upgrade Pears and Aeros quite as much. But at level 16 with extra bucks I highly recommend picking up some Aero-M. I find myself liking Aeros a lot better than Pears, especially as I continued later on into the game

Yep, Aeros are much better. I hate the cargo/passenger imbalance of Pearjets. The only reason I'm not using Sao Paulo as the hub is because it needs upgrades Pearjets if I remember rightly. But will switch when I've dumped them

What would happen if you close some airports??? Please answer ASAP thank you :D

You get half of the money back that you have invested in the airport (initial cost and upgrades, not advertisement). The airport is closed. Any layovers that you have at other airports will have to be "deleted" by clicking the little red x next to the picture of the bitizen. If you want to reopen the airport, you have to pay the full cost again.

    Hey Meowr,

Thanks for the long reply, those are some awesome ideas. I used to backfeed also but then got talked out of it. I haven't had any troubles with layovers yet just doing the one line, but I might have to switch to backfeeding once I go two-line.

Quick question: Do you not use cloudliners at all? If not, why not? Just curious.

Ok thank you :) also do you think it's a good idea to buy l.a. And Honolulu? Most of my 13 planes are kangaroos :/ I don't have that many class 2 and 3 airports so I tend not to buy class 2 or 3 planes

Yes, when I said "MY" profit per hour, it is to distinguish a difference from what I am making, versus what the log screen says.

My stat screen says I'm making just under a million a day, but I'm also making over 1500 bux a day as well (though not today... real life gets in the way of my gaming... grrr... )
Obviously, how much you make will proportionally grow with the time spent playing the game, regardless of your setup. If I played this game all day (like the first few days it came out), I would triple my revenue in coins and bux. I just don't have the time to spare, and wanted to set up something that is more systematic/automated.

Yes, long range Aeros and Pearjets are the ones with upgraded fuel tanks that go transatlantic. Basically, these are the same planes that I was using before I got the Class 3 planes.
I got a bunch of Aeros later in the game, when I found that filling layovers ASAP made the game a LOT easier. I'm sure the Aeros are costing me more as a job feeder, then when I was using Birchcrafts, but again, I'm willing to sacrifice some profit for a lot of convenience.

BTW, when my Aeros land, and are emptied, I fill them in this priority:
    1) Bux job to any of the target cities in the other side of the world (ranges from 6-8 bux)
    2) Bux job to any of the cities that I'm leaving these layovers (1 bux)
Jobs to the farther city of the class 3 pairs (in my system it's Chicago, Seoul, Shenyang, and Sao Paolo) in pairs of cargo/passenger
    3) City I'm leaving the layovers

I try and pickup layovers in pairs, because all my planes are M's, the only problem being the pearjets, since it's 3P/2C
But I like using Pearjets as my Bux delivery plane to the "other" cities, since it's a little easier to fill than Aeros, and it's nearly as fast as my big planes (so same landing times).

    Airports I have:
    In North America:
    Chicago*
    New York*
    Toronto
    Washington DC
    Detroit

    In East Asia:
    Beijing*
    Shenyang*
    Seoul*
    Shanghai*
    Guangzhou
    Tokyo*

    South America:
    Rio de Janeiro*
    Sao Paolo*

    These are my "target cities"
The ones with an *, I get all the layovers for the Cyclones.
Everything else, I only grab the Bux jobs going to these cities

    My connecting cities are:
    London
    Istanbul
    Delhi
    Kinshasa

I never save any layovers for these connecting cities (neither bux nor regular fares)

the reason I have Delhi and Istanbul is because I started the game in Japan, and worked my way to London/Paris on the short hoppers. I haven't bothered changing the middle cities.
When I started making a lot of money, and had 2 routes, I realized that I can get Tehran instead of Istanbul and Delhi, but I would still need to get another class 3 from India to go to South America. (so basically trade 2 for 2)
Switching would make straighter routes, but I used to see a lot of bad "events" happen in the Indian cities early in the game, so I just haven't bothered.

FYI, I started in Japan, slowly worked my way to London, then went to New York. So for a few days, I was only working one route. I wasn't until I was getting a lot of class 3 planes, and was running out of layovers, that I figured a second route and closer class 3 cities in east asia was warranted.
My end back feeding cities used to be
    New York/Chicago<----------------->Guangzhou/Shanghai

When I experimented on Sao Paolo/Rio, I found that the closer the two class 3 cities are, the easier it is to fill the layovers. So I moved the target cities to north east China and Seoul.

Actually, I realized that close class 3 city back feeding was a good idea already when I had both London and Paris. But when I went to North America, I kind of forgot about it.

I am Level 31, have parts enough to build 2 Cloudliner-M's, and will probably never assemble them. I grab jobs in pairs of cargo/passenger. I try and keep my layovers balanced. Having a Cloudliner-M would mess up the whole system since it's so unbalanced.

The only reason I got the parts, is because I have an excess of bux, and figure when I'm bored with the game, would make some of the real routes and flight code designations for fun.

Am actually starting to get bored with the game now. Especially with the world event prize being only a few bux.
Maybe try and get all 1000 jobs in all 45 events.... dunno....

I just don't see the point of having a Cloudliner, except to have one....
(I actually have parts for 2 of them)
The way I play, I need a more balanced P/C ratio.

In the end, if you concentrate on bux, you'll be able to afford everything. Every plane, plenty of plane slots, and fully upgraded airports.
BUT the one limiting factor is the amount of layover slots.

I split my layovers to two target cities, so roughly 30 to city A, and 30 to city B.
But even if I had 60 layovers all going to one city, at BEST I could fill 3 cloudliners. That's assuming that i have the perfect ratio of passenger/cargo.
Practically speaking, you'll fill one, maybe two.
I just don't see the point in getting a plane that's hard to fill.

But if your system is all passengers only, and all going to one city, then a Cloudliner-P might work for you.

These big plane just wouldn't work for my particular setup.

Your strategy does sound good, although I have to say, I've never been able to make 2 separate routes work. I even recently tried Chicago --> Beijing and New york --> Shenyang as 2 different routes, but found it incredibly difficult to fill planes, meaning I was having to check the game even more often just to keep the layovers full.

Now I have 7 planes running New York --> Beijing with Chicago and Toronto feeding New York and Shenyang and Harbin feeding Beijing (1 plane doing each airport).

Then i've got another 7 planes doing bux runs. They aren't for profit whatsover and have no set route. Basically, they'll fill a plane with bux jobs, even if they're going to different places, and basically just drop them off on the way, picking up any others on the way.

With cloudliners, I am going to build towards EITHER a ratio of 2xM, 1xC or basically just run them in pairs of P and C to balance the layovers

I know everyone has been saying the reward for this global event is low and it may be but there are a lot of people here trying to get top spot. The last event, my first I cracked the top 10. This event I managed to hit 49 but so far have been in the 60-90 range. I assume a lot of it has to do with the airport being class 3 and thus the people with class 3 planes can push more items.

Is it important to have mixed planes in your fleet? Personally, I think that mixed planes are a hassle until you get up in the game.

Ex. 6S 3P/3C is not a good plane to use.

Id rather wait for the Cyclone-M than use any other. But, I was being a noob and got a Birchcraft-M anyways thinking it would help but it just made things worse so Ill just scrap it?

Delivering passengers/ cargo that pay bux instead of coins. You may well lose money but it's easy enough to make it back.

Edit: The global events too. (Aslong as you're in the TouchArcade flight crew)

I have a couple of mixed planes but prefer the P's and C's. I find M's good for dropping layovers to your main airports for the bigger planes to take overseas.

You shouldn't just ask for free parts. Everybody else has to earn them

Anyone else showing little to no achievements accomplished?

I know that i have completed a lot of the achievements, but only 2 are listed as completed :/

Is this a bug or should i log out/into gamecenter or something?
