I'm level 20 and have 5 airports. LA, Mexico, Chicago, NY and London. my planes Pearjet C Pearjet P Pearjet M Fogbuster M Kangaroo P 2 Aeroeagle M 2 Birchcraft M what guys is feeder? because i don't have layovers in all my airports. should i open more class 3 airports? should some of my airplanes place in hangar? I'm planning to have 1 more fogbuster M, all my airports upgrade max. i need advice, thankyou
I am about to reach level 11, so I am going to add Miami as my 14th airport, then I will head back to Europe for a bit. I currently have 9 class 1 planes, as I dont have a class 2 airport quite yet I dont think, I have three planes that can travel from Monovria, to Fortaleza and beyond at the moment.
Quick question: how is the "longest journey" achievement even possible? They are too far apart, and also, they're both only class 1 airports! I just checked and the supergopher is the longest ranged class 1 plane. How do you get from Nome to Wellington with a supergopher, even fully upgraded?!
Level 19 here, I got aeroeagle at level 14 (or was it lv 16) and wondering when do I get my first class 3 plane? Also in what order do I get them? Also is it really necessary that I have feeder planes and airports? I have 22 class 3 airports..
Lot of via points along the way, just not a stop. You need to end up using well over 10 airports. The plane is allowed to fly through other airports as long as it does not physically stop at any of those locations
It's not necessary, play how you want to play. Having feeders is just a strategy to keep your planes in the air as much as possible, while still maintaining the 25% bonus for a same destination manifest.
Hi all! How's everybody doing? Had a weekend off the game while i've been watching Stone Roses / getting drunk in Manchester!
He more than likely cheated and modified the game files to give himself the blimps. The game has been out for not even a month with most people here playing from the start. Yet the majority have found no way to get them, with it looking like you can only get the rare planes through events. It only takes a basic knowledge of the iOS app file system and knowledge on how to modify database files to either give yourself the planes (along with millions of coins/bux) or to make them availible in the market.
Yeah it's sad really, because the leaderboards are already flooded with cheaters. Together with Apple, game developers should do something about it so that people can do it if they really want to, but they are banned from using gamecenter or something. There's countless videos on YouTube already about how to achieve it but what's the point? The whole point of games like this is to achieve something - not to already start with it on a plate.
Hey guys, I just made a forum marketplace where people can sell and buy and trade parts and planes from Pocket Planes. I just made it about 5 minutes ago, so I'd appreciate if you could have a look and try it out. Thanks. http://pocketplanestrade.hyperhosts.com/
I don't understand it either, is anyone impressed that some guy is level 9 bazillion? Do people that do that actually play and enjoy the games, or just break the leaderboards and never come back to play? In happier news, I've got Cyclones now, replaced my Fogbusters with Cyclones, have 2 cyclones and 6 sequoias going back and forth from NY to Shanghai, on track to be level 28 tomorrow! Still not having much trouble with layovers, though I have had a couple occasions where I have way more people than cargo which is fairly irritating. Right now, in preparation for the work day, I'm at 60 layovers (30p/30c also, woo) for Shanghai with 3 full Aeroeagle-M's parked there ready to unload and the same in LA, though I'm a bit off on the 30/30 for LA.
For those with Level 3 planes, which of the 2 scenario's below are you most of the time employing. Assume your main route is NY to Shanghai and that you have airports west of NY and east of Shanghai with planes dedicated to each. Focusing only on 1 direction, which is preferable: 1. Have your lower planes fill up NY with Shanghai bound passengers, then have your level 3 plane fly to Shanghai with the 25% bonus to Shanghai. 2. Have your north american lower planes fill up NY with any passengers/cargo that want to go to asia. Then fly your level 3 plane to Shanghai without the bonus. When it gets there, the lower planes in asia get 25% bonuses as they shuttle to smaller airports. I've been doing #1 with a Fogbuster and Sequoias, but can see how this might be hard to continue with much larger planes.
I've been doing #1 also, I have 8 total class 3 planes in the air at (hopefully) all times, and still get NY and Shanghai full of layovers long before the sequoias arrive. The only problem I see with #2 is that you end up losing a percentage of your people to non-bonus and that would probably start seriously adding up.
I think I'll probably go for that same route. Maybe upgrade to Tokyo with cloud busters. If jobs ever become an issue l'll try just use advertising in Seoul and LA. Thanks for posting this
Im going to make a noob move and risk it all, by closing up my Eurasian airports and open up in North America and go back across later. Reason doing so, I just simply dont like the route Im on. All class two planes. Birchcraft, Pearjet, and Aeroeagle. Ill do it if the next global event isnt near my route.
Just got this game the other day and I'm now addicted. Still getting used to the mechanics of the game and whatnot and I joined the TouchArcade's flight crew too!
