The prizes are really dropping fast. Only 25 bux for first place I guess we were spoiled with the Calgary event
The prize is not a great incentive when I make more than 25 Bux a day by doing regular jobs, but I'll still make a contribution toward the Global Event. I just bought Moscow and they gave me a Mohawk part for unlocking the city. LOL My lowest plane is an Aeroeagle. Do they ever give you anything good when you buy a new city?
Not sure if this has already been discussed (and don't have time to read this whole thread), but I'm curious as to whether both passengers and cargo count for global events. I opened San Jose specifically for the last event and if I look at the stats for it, I've done 841 flights, 568 passengers and 530 shipments (which I assume is cargo). Yet on the TA flight crew info for the event just before it closed I had 558 jobs - which seems to be the passengers only - I assume it is 10 less because those didn't update to the server in time to be counted. Has anyone else noticed this or am I misunderstanding something here?
Hmmm. I never really paid attention to the stats. I assumed all the blue colored jobs going to the event city, which comprise both Passengers and Cargo, would count toward the Global Event.
Guess I have to send you both a Huey part since its so hard to tell I've just decided to call it a tie between you to. Congratulations guys, I might do more of theses who knows but for now I need to sleep.
OK, so I opened up Karachi and Moscow and flew 4 flights between them (2 going from Karachi to Moscow and 2 going from Moscow to Karachi) with Birchcraft-M's (2P/2C) and stats for both airports now say 6 flights, 8 passengers and 8 shipments. That looks like passengers and shipments are counting both in and out of the airport, but not sure how it gets 6 flights (could it be 2 flights in, 2 flights out and 2 flights pending cos I have 2 planes on the ground at each airport?). Flight crew stats say 4 jobs by me (although I've had 8 jobs in to Moscow). Confusing!!!

50 buxs wasnt worth it for the San Jose event and I'm not going to even bother on the next one due to only a 25 bux prize.
Ya, 25 is pretty lame But I already have Moscow open, so I will put my effort in, just not as much as the others.
Actually, I don't think the Pearjet can make it from New York to Paris, even with all upgrades. It can reach London (from NY) with all upgrades, though.
Well the only flights that count are the ones going TO Moscow. Those are shown in blue. The flights leaving Moscow do not count towards the event, and they are NOT shown in blue.m
Prizes What I don't understand is why this event is only worth 25 bux. The last few events have been worth more, and the cities they are located in are not worth much since they are class 1 and 2. The Moscow event is in a class 3 city, meaning it costs 51k and you are getting a smaller prize? Is there any logic in that?
Guessing as more people join TA n start playing PP, more people are winning the top prize, so they're giving more out, if they gave out 100 to everyone like in early events, they'd make no money. But I agree, is it worth buying Moscow just for this event n 25bux? I'd much rather get a novelty plane like an air balloon...
