Sounds like an interesting theory! I think you can make any strategy stick as long as you know inside out what you're doing. I run LA --> Beijing, with Tokyo laying off LA jobs to Beijing, and Honolulu + Mexico City dropping off Beijing jobs to LA. I've then got 3 planes running between LA / Mexico / Honolulu / New York, and 3 planes running Tehran / Beijing / Tokyo... basically picking up good bux jobs and full planes. London is then my hub (so if one of the western jobbers finds some good bux jobs for the east side, they drop them off at london and trot off back to the west). Then I have an extra 2 planes that act as jobbers for every one of my airports picking up any scraps they miss, and just picking up full job loads as they pop along.
I should also say that I'm testing this. Haha. If it turns out not to work that well, I will let you all know. My feeder planes drop off at London, pick up a Paris job to cover the cost of the flight, then pick up the traffic heading east in Paris. It's like a bus route.
Don't worry, i've been testing it for a while now. It's working a lot better than I even thought it would! My profits have bumped up by 1-2k for each of the long haul flights, and they're slightly quicker as well. I've also find (perhaps a co-incidence), that my feeder planes are finding it easier to fill up!
Like someone said, 50 bux is a lot if you're in the lower levels, but isn't much to the higher levels.
I been stalking this thread and once i get my Aero's ( I need 70k experience till level 16!) I'm going to buy 3 Aero's M place them at Tokyo, put my 3 Equinox in the hangar and reinstablish them in Tokyo and make the Equinox feed Beijin and let my Birchcrafts feed LA, and once I make bank expand more I have 7 planes and 3 free spots for my Aeros and 279 bux
Oh San Jose Joined TA flight crew during the last few hours of Santiago event, and thanks everybody I easily picked up 60bux! I was just expending my routes to SA, preparing for my translantic trip. So the event comes at the right time. Now San Jose is also a natural one for me because it lays just in between my LA LiMa BA route. I hate to ask for it, but just in case anybody could spare a pearjet M engine part, I will be very thankful to u! My GC name is: franksxf Good luck guys!
Oh it works! Just after I posted this I Found the Pearjet M engine in the market by myself! Now I BELIEVE in TA forum..... Hello London, I am coming...
This is their 4th game if I remember correctly and they've only made casual simulators which are good money making monsters. You can't Compare them to console game developers yet
Just for the sake of joining in and sharing my adventures. Level 13 with most of the Class 2 and Class 3 airports bought in North America except for san fran and LA and I think i should work my way to the south... or should i try for europe? waiting till i get to lvl 14 to get my pearjets and drop my mohawks in the hangar
woo! finally found the last part of the mohawk-p for my lima->easter island run! however, now i'm tempted to push that off to focus on the event in san jose...however again, i got food poisoning last time i went to san jose, so i'm worried about going back! just a note, i checked out that distance calculator on http://www.therustysnowman.com/proj/pocketplanes.php and it says you need fully upgraded fuel tanks on the mohawk to get from lima to easter island, but you only need to upgrade twice. and from the looks of it, a mohawk would be the most ideal class-1 plane to use for all the achievement-based trips. one question: there's an achievement for making a non-stop flight from nome to wellington...which is basically impossible. what are the real limitations to getting that one?
I'm wondering about that achievement from nome to wellington as well. I don't think it's impossible but very expensive and needs a lot of class one airports in between. Did anyone set up a route for it yet?
What are good feeder cities for Beijing I have Tokyo already but I need more cities around it for my equinox can make profit when big-boy planes are making the 1h trips and my layovers are full. My Cities are Seattle, La, Honolulu,Guatemala, Santiago,Ny, London, Tehran, Beijing, and finally Tokyo. Thinking of Closing down Guatamala and Santiago?Good choice or not? My cross-World Planes--------- Aeroeagle M x1 (Soon to be 2 more) PearJet M x1 Feeder Planes/Quick Profit Planes----- --Asia Region-- Equinox M x1 Equinox C x1 Equinox P x1 --NA Region-- Birchcraft M x1 Birchcraft C x1 Birchcraft P x1
If you are earning enough money you don't have to go south. I just opened the LA Shanghai route, however I have the south America route still running and I have to figure out a way to make a shift.
I'm more of just getting frustrated with this game. I'm level 14 and play this constantly. Right now I have LA, NY, London, Tehran, Bejing, Tokyo with Seattle, Honolulu, Berlin, and Madrid. I have: 1 pearjet 3 birchcraft 1 equinox 3 kangaroo 1 anan 1 airvan I feel like I'm not doing this correctly at all.. Like I have my pearjet going from LA to Tokyo, I have my birch crafts doing jobs in north america and Asia, but I'm at a point where I have no money or bux to upgrade the rest of my planes. I'm so frustrated!
Should I upgrade my airports? Basically I have most of the class 3 ones LA, NY, London, Tehran, Moscow, Beijing, Lima, Lagos, Rio, Tokyo. I gain coins really fast and have like 132,000 now. Its just bux that I'm down cause I'm upgrading my Pearjets. Not exactly sure which airport to upgrade...I'm thinking NY?
Which planes can make the transat flight from london to new york? can the aeroeagle do it with fully upgraded fuel?
I'm part of the touch arcade group and have gotten my prize for the last couple of events, but didn't get my reward for the Santiago event even tho I had 65ish jobs. Did the rules change on who could collect or did I lose out when my game half crashed right at the end of the event? I've been lurking this board since I started TT in Nov. but this is my 1st. post.
