You'll need a lot of bux later on for the bigger planes. Coins on the other hand, depending how many plane slots you have, could probably be spent on airport upgrades! It becomes very useful to have them maxed out.

I'm not sure if the special events give you mystery parts? I guess it's worth a try! If you try, let us know!

Sequoias are slow, but holding 10 jobs, they make a massive profit. They're my biggest earners, ahead of the fogbusters. I tried a Tetra, but unsure if that was the right move, with it holding more cargo than people. My aim is to have 1 cloudbuster and 2 or 3 Tetra, which should balance out the passenger / cargo issue.

Yeah I keep changing my setup too. I was doing the event, but was getting sick and tired of my main routes never having full planes. Now I can concentrate LA and Tokyo fully on layovers for the opposite, instead of LA dealing with Santiago ones too.

Now I don't know what to do next. Naturally i'll be upgrading my LA --> Tokyo planes, but other than that I don't know where to expand (because that just dilutes the jobs), or where to have more planes running! IT all just seems to work well at the minute and my average daily profit is up to over a million!

I've been tweaking this game for a good week or so and feel like I've gotten nowhere.

I unlocked most major cities in Asia and have a total of 20 which are either red or blue. Most of my fleet consists of Equinox planes with three Pearjets. Should I shut down some cities to preserve the time (since it takes 14 min to go from Bangkok to Tokyo) or just keep these cities open and play the game sporadically?

I think you should definitely shut some airports. The more airports you have, the less chance you have of filling a plane with jobs in one visit to the same place.

Put it this way. I'm lvl 25 and i've only got 8 airports. They stretch from Honolulu --> Tokyo, and it means everytime I send a plane somewhere, the chances are they can fill up, even if they hold 6, 8 or 10 P/C

Interesting, I didn't think the amount of airports would have an effect on the amount of jobs available.

I'm only level 18, but I have airports from Santiago (where I'm just setting up shop to help TA win yet again) to Tokyo. But other than Paris and Tehran EVERYTHING is located in East Asia.

Thanks for that advice. I noticed my stats decreasing as I began to expand to Manila and Bangkok, now I know why.

Basically the amount of jobs remains sort of the same, but because you have so many airports, you'll have 1 or 2 going to the same place... whereas if you have the airports, you'll have 3 or 4+ going to the same place, meaning full planes (+ 25% bonus) almost every time, or you don't have to wait long.

I would advise focusing on a straight route, and getting rid of airports that aren't necessary (as in, ones that are on the route, but aren't required for pit stops)

I see, thanks for that tip! Very much appreciated.

Would it be necessary to get longer range planes for such a route? I have the parts for one Aero but besides that I only have three Pears. I find it hard to think the Equinox is worth the distance traveled, it takes me 20 min to make 1,400 with it while another jet is more.

I always get the biggest planes I can to make the long route. I then have 'jobbers' that run the same route, but not from end to end, bucking up good bux jobs and full plane loads so i'm not wasting the potential of the pit stop class 3's.

I began the "great" downsizing of my airlines from 20 to 12 airports (I have two waste ones in Santiago and Buenos Aires). The best route to make is the one from LA to Tokyo; I have stops from NY - London - Paris - Istanbul - Tehran - X'ian and I still have yet to get rid of a few Asia cities. Seems like there's no great city to make that jump from Shanghai/Beijing to Tehran however :(

Right okay I am now on level 9. And I had a massive shake up last night. Before last night I had Manchester, Glasgow, Prague, Munich, Berlin, Riga, Oslo, Bern, Bergen, Copenhagen, and Brussels. I have now got 10 out of the 12 cities I can have, I now have Manchester,Bergen, Bern, Bordeaux, Madrid, In Salah, Timbuktu, Monrovia, Fortaleza, and Georgetown. I have in the last half an hour completed my first trans-atlantic flight. I now have 4 passengers waiting in Monrovia to fly to Fortaleza, the flight for that is on its way from Georgetown, and just had its layover in Fortaleza. I currently have 8 planes by the way, so my game has just become a lot more exciting I think.

Once you begin these long-distance flights the game truly begins! Have fun with it!

Yes I certainly will, I currently have one plane for four passengers, and one plane that can take 4 pieces of cargo.

It's global events. The prize this time is bux, however quite often the vents have a prize of a plane, or a plane part - and during the event, you get mystery jobs to deliver which give you a part.

Oh, I know that, haha. He stated earlier that he collected every single plane in the game, wanted to make sure.

Edit: just noticed you broke 1 million average daily revenue! Nice job!

Cheers man! Things are going rather nicely here. Don't know what to do next though. I have a spare plane slot, which I might just keep for the next event - but I don't really want to open any more airports because I don't see the benefit i'll get because i'll lose jobs to the other cities!

Do you guys think it's an advantage or disadvantage to have 2 red cities right next to eachother (I'm talking about Paris and London)?

Heh, it's just the opposite for me! I'm reluctant to close down any of my airports because I want to expand my airline as much as possible, or at least own all of the class 3 airports. Job selection can be a bit hectic with 28 airports but I'm doing okay profit-wise - my daily revenue is 879,709. :D Although, I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to do with all of this money after I buy the few remaining class 3 airports.
