I believe the profits scale up 1:1, however with a full plane, the 25% bonus obviously effects longer flights more.
A little advice please! Hey Guys! Please add me on Game centre: Geebeeweebles I am just looking for advice as to how I should continue expanding my airline. I'm level 11 and have: Airports: [3] London [2] St. Petersburg [2]Berlin [2] Algiers [1]Bordeaux [1]Manchester [1] Amsterdam [1] Brussels [1] Bern [1]Lyon [1] Venice [1] Prague And room for 1 more airport. Planes: Birchcraft [P] Kangaroo x 2 [M] [C] Mohawk [M] Navigator x 2 [C] [P] Anan [M] Wallaby [P] x 2 Supergopher [C] So, what airport should I buy next, should I start replacing some planes, Aslo, do you think I could set up a route to Santiago before the event is over in 1 day? Thank you!
Consider yourself added! My advice would be, don't get an airport just because you can. I would start closing some class 1 airports (starting with ones very close to better airports), and start expanding in distance somewhere.
I find myself much much much more into this game than Tiny Tower. Help me! I keep trying to draft a perfect flight route in my brain when i'm doing something else!
I would start to get rid of class 1 cities, and get a couple more class 2 or 3 cities, as well as get rid of your 1/2 capacity planes for Birchcrafts. The Anan, Mohawk and Kangaroo are valuable planes, so change those ones last. You may be able to get Santiago, just get it and a class 1 city next to it, and put your Kangaroo-M in the hangar, and then put it in the class 1 city, and get 5 jobs.
Pointing to the FAQ in my sig again, as they really are frequently asked. As to the "what should I do next" that comes up every page: Close those unnecessary airports. The more airports you have, the harder it is to fill a given plane with bonus generating jobs. Streamline.
I'll be glad when the event has gone I think. Struggling to use LA as a layover hub for Tokyo AND Santiago!
Just got one of these from my friend! Parts are 73 bux each as well as upgrades. No upgrades on the one right now. I think I might upgrade carbon fiber. Any suggestions?
I wouldn't upgrade anything just yet. Just don't fly it until it's full. I always think it's a bit of poison chalice being given a plane like that, because it's such a jump from what you normally operate, you can end up not maximising the profits.
Alright thanks for the quick reply. Luckily I've been preparing for class 3 planes and has all class 3 airports right now.
I just got my first fogbuster-M as well. Currently I've been running a lot of NYC-London flights. With this Fogbuster I'd like to start from LA and extend my route a little bit. What is the best city in terms of jobs available after London? Mumbai/Karachi/Delhi/Tehran? Thanks!
It's the same for me. Pocket Planes (and Mafia Wars) have thrown all productivity out the window. I'm in the process of upgrading to larger planes (Fogbusters are next) so hopefully this will lead to checking in every hour or so instead of every ten seconds.
I have a LA to Tokyo route which runs thru Europe: Madrid - Tehran - Shanghai - Tokyo I think Tehran is a good gateway. Ity between Europe and Asia. And I think Jakaeta is a good gateway city to Australia.
I have found LA --> Tokyo (via New York, London and Tehran) to be very profitable indeed. I reckon it's about as straight a line as you can make with class 3 aircraft (perhaps paris instead of london? but i'd already upgraded london all the way)
I did LA>NYC>LONDON>ISTANBUL>GUANGZHOU>TOKYO because I started doing transatlantic with class 2 planes. At your level, if you have lots of planes that can make the london tehran jump go for it. Mumbai and Delhi are a little too far right now for you since you only got 1 fogbuster. The best is probably Tehran.
A fully upgraded Pearjet can do London -> Tehran Also, I have an idea to make the flight crew system a little better. Instead of ranking teams in order of greatest jobs done in total, I think a percentage system would work better, like total jobs done PER player. So that way, if a huge flight crew like TA has a few slackers, then that would bring the whole crew down. Meanwhile, if there's a flight crew of say 2 people but they work constantly delivering jobs, then they can have a good chance of winning. That way the same team won't win all the time, and it gives the smaller one's a chance as well.
That's an excellent way of putting it, but then active teams of 1 would always win And I like 1st place
