yeah, they need all 3 fuel upgrades. Aeroeagles need 2 upgrades. (assuming you mean London --> New York
I'm level 19 and I don't know what to do next. I've saved 450,000 coins but don't know whether to spend them on airport upgrades or buy more airports and plane slots. I have 13 planes and 14 airports. My airports are: Honolulu (fully upgraded) LA Chicago NY Mexico City Lima Recife Rio De Janeiro Buenos Aires Lagos London Paris Moscow Tehran I want to close Paris eventually but I still have some Birchcrafts left that use it, and I think I might close Chicago too as its close to New York, or should I keep it open? I think I might have too many airports open but I still wanted to expand further over to Asia. What would be the best thing to do next?
I would close Chicago and Buenos Aires (as it's similar to Chicago - close to another major red). That should free up another 50k+. You should only upgrade airports if you need to though. If you find you have plenty of layover slots and your planes are getting full regularly, you don't really need to!
Thanks! I'll close them both and maybe buy another plane slot. My aero eagles and pear jets are more difficult to fill. I always wait to get the 25% bonus but then I have to keep waiting for the jobs to refresh several times. That's why I thought about upgrading more airports. I just don't want to waste money on upgrades if I might close those airports one day.
Maybe you could consider filling those airports with jobs from other airports... For example - I have 2 planes filling LA with layovers for Tokyo. In the time it takes for the big planes to get to Tokyo and back, LA is full with layovers again, meaning they don't have to wait at all.
Ok My Cities are : Seattle, LA ,Detroit, Pheonix, Chihuahua, Guatamala, Caracas, Cuzco, Araguaina, Recife, and Santiago. I own 2 mohawk's M's and 3 Birchcrafts and 3 Equinox I'm saving to get New York and I was wondering if I should after that start upgrading my class 2 airports and sell my class 1 airports that are useless? Or should I continue expanding to Europe? I'm trying to get big pay and I usually only get 1k pay per flight
Yeah you should probably expand to Europe and close some class 1s. Start using your class 2 airports to then feed the class 3 airports for the bigger / longer flights to make sure they're full, whilst turning a profit the other way. The benefits to crossing larger distances are bigger profits, longer between flights and importantly that people forget, you're more likely to be near an event!
That's a good idea, thanks! I haven't used layovers that much before but I think I should start using them more now.
Ok I closed down Araguiana, once Panama City's event is over I'll close that down. What do you mean by use class 2 airports to feed class 3 airports?
e.g. I fly LA --> Tokyo... I use Honolulu to just fly Tokyo jobs to LA. No profit, of course, but it means LA is full whenever the flight comes back to go back to Tokyo.
im still buying my Cargo versions of Birchcrafts and Equinox so i only have 3 bux and how do you want me to describe how i "play"
I didn't really use layovers until I got Class 2 planes. I'm based out of the NE USA, so my Class 2s can only go to NY, Boston, Toronto, and Detroit (for the time being). But if I'm in, say Minneapolis, and have two people for Detroit and one for Ottawa, I can drop the other two in Detroit to be picked up by my larger, faster Class 2 plane. For the time being it seems like the Classes just add a needless layer of complexity. I'm sure it will all fall into a rhythm once my airline gets much larger. I do wish that the game went a bit _slower_, which is the opposite of how I felt about Tiny Tower. With TT, I'd only check in about once an hour. With PP, it seems like once you had more than 12 planes, you could play about non-stop, which can get a bit annoying with a sim like that. YMMV, SPJG.
That's the sign of a good game though really - benefiting the ones that invest the most timee, whilst still allowing literally anybody, even if you just check a few times a day, to enjoy it as well.
Also, I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere, but do distance and profits scale up 1:1? Or is a 12 minute flight worth more than 200% as much as a 6 minute flight.
