People caring about leaderboards in a freemium game where you can buy your way to success makes me laugh If you can't have fun just playing this game, then don't bother.
Vancouver should no way be a class 2 city. It's population doesn't come close to 4m. Munich and Rome really aren't that large cities either. The only city that seems really off in population is Mexico City.
I'm having hell of fun playing at my own pace Can't even join this time's global event but still having fun
But when you consider the reality, class 2-equivalent or higher class flights do land in Vancouver, Munich, and other namely class 1 cities in this game.
But you could say that about most airports in the world. The game has to have a certain number and spread of class 1, 2 and 3 cities to work. It is a game after all.
Yeah I have to agree with that. They needed to do it to simplify the structure, otherwise if putting in the real class 1 cities such as small town airport.. it'd be a never-ending story
Exactly. Not every airport accurately represents what aircraft can land there. It's like saying "The cloudbuster should go 20 mph faster"
On another note - why are people obsessing about how much time you have to play the game? Just because you love it so much you can't put it down, doesn't mean you HAVE to play it loads. This obsession since consoles went online, with leaderboards is well beyond me. Yeah, try and do your best but if you can't invest that much time or money, then don't! It's a GAME! Play as much as you can
lol yeah, when one of your major city is down it sucks. I wonder if they'll ever add in "force landing" or redirecting to other cities due to weather condition for flights already enroute to the said shut down city. Right now it seems like they'll be able to land since they were already on the way there.
The problem with keeping somewhere like Boston is boston jobs replace the ones you actually want. Plus I have a few class 3's that make the trans-atlantic flight
How's everybody doing with the event? Really enjoying this one myself, and i'm managing to make it into a nice little earner too - i'll be sad when it's gone! done about 250 so far
I'm not participating in this event because I don't have any branch in America (well also feeling guilty about getting 500 bux from the glitches) Now my business is back on track. I've formed nice cluster in western europe and east asia, and with layovers sometimes i make 5k a trip.
Sounds good! I've got a nice Honolulu --> Tokyo stretch now, and after the event I might just replace Santiago with Buenos Aires and keep the fleet servicing that route.
Can you use Honolulu as the midway between East Asia and West America? I find that if you have 1 class 1 city right next to your class 3 you can get a lot of layovers to that small city (e.g. for me East Asia wanting to go to Casablanca, thus I use Paris as the layover hub)
No - the world in pocket planes acts more like a map than a planet where honolulu is the most western point.
