Have LA, NY, Chicago, Lima, Moscow, London, Rio, Tehran, Lagos, Lima, Mexico City, Buenos Aires. From Tehran where should I go? Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangkok? idk there's hella cities in Asia.
I need a bit of help too My current airports: Tokyo Sapporo Seoul Taipei Cebu Singapore Delhi Tehran (Miscalculated, thought i could reach there from Seoul to make it a connecting point to Paris.. now I have to go Delhi-Istanbul for extra cost) Istanbul Paris Munich Rome Casablanca Vancouver San Francisco 10 planes: 2 Pearjets (both fully upgraded) 2 Equinox 3 class 1 flights in each region Europe/Asia Problem is Pearjets are not exactly bringing my money. As i previously mentioned i'm trying to max. the layover effect but i think my real problem lies between istanbul/dehli/tehran.. where there should only be one connecting point between europe and asia to save cost but my pearjet simply doesn't have that kind of range.
I would try to get rid of any class 1 airports you have (if any, I don't know the region ), and any that are close together, so you have less options for your passengers/cargo to go to.
class 1 cities are: sapporo, cebu, munich, rome, casanova, and Vancouver On a side note, some of the settings don't make any sense. Rome, Munich and Vancouver should be at least class 2 cities damn it I didn't want want to get rid of some class 1 cities because they are such a vacational hot spot in real life guess it doesn't translate into this game.
Hmm. Am I the only one who has sort of given up on the game? I found the TA review at about 15 hours to be a little short, as I lasted the first few days, but I've come to realize that I think the game is fantastic in the beginning but unless you play it endlessly and endlessly and endlessly, there's no way to keep up on the leader boards. I did great early on, and was in the top 10, but I realized that's all I did. It took over my life. I was way too obsessed. Am I the only one that feels/felt that way?
Top 3 class 3 airports I should get in Asia/Oceania? Too many damn places. Tehran is my most closest airport.
As long as I'm in the top 5% on all parts of GC, and (atm) ranked 54 on the leaderboard.... That's just an added bonus... I'd like the game even if I didn't have that ranking...
To be honest, leaderboards dont mean s**t to me. Its impossible to be #1 because of the hackers, and I never can get far enough to get anywhere on them. (Except the rankings in the TA flight crew, I like to see how high I get (currently #330)) This goes for any game, not just Pocket Planes.
Identification of ubur generous person! Hey guys! I had sent out an appeal earlier for any Birchcraft/Equinox parts. What I got was one of the most epic trade donations of all time! There's only one problem. I'm overseas and haven't been able to keep up with the threads.. I owe this person an epic thank you, but I don't have his username! However, I do have his GameCenter... Does anyone know the Lobster9493? Please PM me with a username. Or, even better, Lobster9493, if you're out there, tell me your username, so I may shower you with gratitude Thanks all, and especially my not so mystery beneficiary! GC: Snare890
I'm not keeping up with any rankings of any sort but i have been trying to complete the achievements. Currently trying to complete 100 deliveries to Easter island. Not easy because i'm only using one supergopher plane. It's taking forever.
Euro-Asia route by Pearjet is driving me crazy. There's just no way i can only make one stop to fly.. that one more extra stop in the middle cost me quite a bit of money (Seoul-Dheli-Istanbul-Paris) Only if i can find a spot to replace dheli and istanbul.
I'm not saying that, I understand that. However, what I was trying to say is tha the game calls for quite significant time investment and constant managing. At first it was a rush but then it wore a bit thin. And as for the leader boards, when you're at the top, it's really tough to miss a day and literally fall endlessly to the bottom. But that's the problems with leader boards on games like this, it's not like, say, trials where it's skill that puts you up on the boards. Here, it's about starting early and not stopping and/or investing major dough into the game to keep on the leader boards. Now. Take the leader boards out and sure, things are different... But I'm now not sure what there was there. I don't know why I'm not addicted like I was the first week it's really, really odd... And disappointing.
This flight management game from NimbleBit (Pocket Frogs, Tiny Tower) requires time and management? I thought that was obvious to everyone in this thread. But while we're stating the obvious, you should get over your obsessive fixation on leader boards. Although, I doubt you'll be able to... Oh well, problem solved!
Here is one possible solution for the problem with the game taking over your life: get to level 22 buy a whole lot sequoia and set a long route that goes around the globe of only level 3 airports that are on the edge of the plane's flight distance. This way you will have to wait about 40 min (source) for the planes to travel the courses from one airport to the other and you can round up this to an hour so you can follow up a very good advice - to take a 5-10 min breaks every hour If and when you need some action and have time to lose - buy an airport with event and start micromanaging. This at least will be my setup so I will not get drowned in constant notifications. Leaderboards are for groups, not people as far as I'm concerned.
