question from level 6 player: is it a waste to upgrade my class 1 planes since I know that sooner or later I will get rid of them as I progress to class 2/3?
Yeah, save the bux for the higher class planes once you get to those levels. Buy class 1 and 2 airports for now that are within range of your planes.
I would much prefer that to the few options available. Somewhere between superzoom and the middle level would be ideal.
I've enhanced my flight distance calculator to include a list of the main planes and their upgrades to show which should be able to make the distances between selected cities. Pocket Planes Tools Hope you all enjoy. I'm finding some of this more interesting than the game now! Reminds me of the good old days of Min/Maxing World of Warcraft characters for raiding.
i loved this game, but the second i got to level 13 the whole game reset and i lost everything, anyone else had this problem, i was playing it and the game crashed at level 13 and when i turned it back on it was all gone (i know it just happened to be #13)
Just start over and correct your mistakes from before.... I overwrote my save before there was iCloud syncing, and started over from level 9. It went way quicker
If it hasn't saved your new data to the cloud yet, you could try deleting and reinstalling which should sync your last iCloud save down. Might be worth a shot. Edit: If you had iCloud on that is.
Ok I've set up a nice line from LA -> NY -> London -> Tehran -> Shanghai And Mexico City -> Lima -> Santiago for the event I was wondering where I should expand next.
Still figuring this out, but I really think once you've built a big transglobal line, the best thing to do is expand into clusters of smaller airports, mainly near the ends of your line, to feed into the larger airports and ensure bonuses. Creating more big lines or offshoots just hurts your efficiency.
It isn't necessary to phase out all class 1 cities as they can still bring in considerable amount of $$$ if you use layovers well. I've been experimenting this strategy lately: Say you are running mainly Asia and Europe for now. Fly Equinox and Pearjet for cross continental flights only, and fly only class 1 flights in each region. You should look at the bigger picture by transferring passengers/cargo to each region's class 1 cities by using layovers. E.g., Seoul -> Rome; you then use class 2 flights to fly from Seoul->Teheran->Paris, and then leave the p/c there for the european region class 1 flights to pick up and do the delivery. So far I'm still playing around this, trying to maximize the full effect of layovers... but sometimes the computer's just too dumb.. giving me dumb choices of destination. Okay yeah, don't do this until you own a significant amount of planes.
What are mystery parts? I've seen them pop up a couple times In this thread but I still don't know what they are. Thanks.
During the Brisbane global event (3 events ago), there were special cargo deliveries called "mystery parts". Upon delivery to Brisbane, they would give you a part for the P-40 Warhawk. I have not seen any mystery parts during the last event or any yet for the current event.
The mystery parts were probably in the event for Brisbane because it was an air show, and the other events wouldnt make much sense.
