Class 3 airports are denoted by red circles. The black ones are class 1 airports. Class 3 airports: LA, NYC, Mexico City, Chicago, Lima, etc. Class 1 airports: Sanjose, Orlando, New Orleans, Oaxaca, etc.
Cool had it backwards. Thanks guys! Is there a limit of say a city with over 8mil people makes it a class 3? I'm colorblind and can't see any of the circles other than the blue. The class 1 and 3 look identical to me other than the pop. Size.
Is the Flight Crew page just not updating very often, or is it glitched? I appear to be stuck on 4 jobs completed, even though I've done at least two flights of people/cargo to the city since then. Really want to close the airports down now, since they're so out of the way and I have no way of connecting it to my current route.
Feels like for endgame, LA is a must for class 3 airport. Then expand in as straight line from one end of the map to the other. My main line now is still between LA, Mexico City, Lima and Buenos Aires. I just kept NY cause I bought it a while ago. I've upgraded LA fullest and it really helps with jobs and keeping my flights full and getting that 25% bonus. I'll probably keep this setup up for a long while (till lev 20, then slowly replace my Birch)..but am considering closing Buenos Aires, and opening Reclife so I can jump to Lagos..to slowly move to the otherside of the world. But gonna try to keep as few airports as possible.
Hey, I'm new to the forum and have been readin through the thread, great stuff I'm currently level 10 and have: Amsterdam Berlin München Rome Athen Barcelona London And the latest purchase, Moscow Any suggestions on what route I should go for? Most people serm to have begun their games in North America. Would like the transatlantic but I dont have the Pear yet. Any suggestions?
Great game. Glad to be a part of the TA team for lots of goodies every week I am working toward all class 2 planes, and about to buy my first Pearjet. I've extended from NA to SA, but know I am not choosing the best locations to maximize profits. Is it best to convert to all class 3 airports, if your planes can make them, and get rid of the 2s? I am looking for a Huey Body. I have a P40 engine, or a couple Pearjet M parts for trade. PM me if interested.
Since I'm only in North America and South America and not familar with the airport configuration of the rest of the world..the general advice is try to pick class 3 airports thats just far enough that your planes can reach. And try to have as few airports as possible so the jobs concentration to your few airports will be higher so you can get the 25% bonus. Then be patient and don't expand too quickly. Yeah..slowly get all class 2 planes. I think I have 5 Birch, 1 Pearjet, 3 Aero now, and 1 Kangaroo. Really start getting rid of your class 2 after you get 2-3 class 3 airports. Just slowly extend south. I currently want to get rid of Mexico City..but the Birch can't reach between LAX and Lima.. I'm "only" lev 17...have ~$350k gold now (just fully upgraded LAX to max, costing over 200k+ gold!) and ~550 bux saved up. When I get past lev 20, I'll slowly replace my Birch first..then when they're all replaced, I'll expand across the Atlantic.
Yes it's 8mil as far as I can tell. Over 8mil is class 3. Under 8mil but over 4mil is class 2. Under 4mil is class 1.
Almost there! Just to get ready, how much does each piece of Pearjet cost? I plan on buying them separately. Plus the range upgrades it needs (2 or 3?) to get from New York to London. I'm going to go on a buying spree.
Parts, build, and upgrades are 14 bux. So 14X3 for the parts +14 to build +14X2 for upgrades to cross the north Atlantic = 84 bux. However the second upgrade may cost more than the first. I can't remember, so it may be a bit more. Edit: Sorry to London takes another upgrade. Didn't read carefully enough
I haven't seen any yet, and there were none for the last event either afaik. Maybe the Brisbane event was a special circumstance since it was an airs how and delivering plane parts there would make sense...
