yay new york... -____- Anyone know a good plan for expanding into South America from North America? Thinking about going with Lima, Rio, and Buenos Aires. Should I start getting rid of my Class 2 airports? I have Seattle, Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas, and San Francisco.
So I had a dumb question, forgive for the noobness, but when you level and it says you can buy a new airport, its just saying that based on the amount of coins you have right? Meaning that because you enough for an airport you can buy one? Or do you get to pick one for free
there's a limit to the amount of airports you can have at one time...so you can't just open a million tiny ones in a condensed area. it has nothing to do with the actual amount of money you have.
No all it means is that you have the ability to open another airport. You can't own 50 airports at lvl 10. You have to earn the ability to buy airports. Money or not.

I was wondering if you guys could give me a grade on how I'm doing. I started off in west north America, I just finished getting rid of my class 1 cities. Right now I have Seattle, San Fran, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Monterrey, Detroit, ATL and Miami (I'm also about to buy Washington DC). I have 4 Birchcraft M, 1 Birchcraft P, 1 Birchcraft C, 3 Equinox M, and one of each Equinox P and C. Can I get some tips on my next expansion move. Should I keep going east to NY or move south? Am I doing Okay? Thanks.
You'll probably need Mexico City as well, depending what aircraft you have - and then yes, that will work well. What also works well is LA --> Rio / Buenos. It's a VERY straight route, which means it's optimal for earnings. Having Seattle behind that is even better.
Sounds like you're doing ok to me! I would think about trying to get hold of a couple of class 3 airports as well. The amount of jobs is astounding. Perhaps have an idea in mind about where you want to go, and gradually edge towards that. Perhaps if you're heading east, consider NYC or Chicago... If you want to go south, which is probably a quicker return on profits (because of how much it costs to fly from NYC to London), consider going south from the west, to Mexico, Lima and then Rio.
Yeah I was thinking of NY or Chicago, it's hard to save all that money though. My spending trigger is hard to control lol :/
here's a good way to grade yourself: are you having fun? you get an A. not having fun? probably a D or F. but really, it sounds like you're doing well enough. get chicago.
I started getting Class 3 airports (now have LA, NY, Chicago, Mexico City, Lima, Rio) and currently in the process of phrasing out some class 2 airports. My own experience I got New York instead of Washington. NY will help a lot later on when you can go trans-atlantic. Los Angeles is also a good one. I like getting the West coast and East cost both busy. Once I had LA, NY, and Chicago I moved south (Mexico City -> Lima -> Rio).

I would strongly suggest New York. Chicago will be great for a while (as will NYC), but when you finally come to do trans-atlantic flights, you'll have to sell Chicago for New York anyway.

I also have a quick question: Do class 1 planes stop appearing at any point? Say someone's LVL 48 and they go into the market. Do the class 1/2 parts still appear or will they have been replaced by higher level planes?
Well I'm lvl 18 and so far, the same class 1 crafts are still available, it just adds the class 2 as well. Doesn't seem like there's any less class 1 crafts either.
