My Pearjet is always losing money. How could I get a better profit.
Is Boston to Casablanca a good idea?

Yeah I do speed up my planes if there's great jobs available not long before it lands, which does help a lot! I think I have the right idea about where I want to go, and i'm making good profit and bux at the moment so I just need to wait to a) upgrade all my end-point airports (Rio and Tehran especially) b) get more crafts on board and c) upgrade planes when even better ones are available. I have just bought a birch-M. Even though it's my worst plane, i'm just making scramble around dropping off layovers at LA which is my major hub at present even if it's not making much profit.

I only have 4 flights doing LA --> Tehran at the minute and I could easily double that and not run out of jobs because of the sheer length of it. That's the aim!

Just don't let it leave an airport until it has a full set of jobs going to the same place for the bonus. Even if you have to wait a couple of turns of new jobs

No, pearjet can't land in Casablanca. I do NYC to London for hops, then London to Casablanca for missions.
Mission team is 1 Kanga M, 1 Airvan C, and 1 Mohawk M. They've trucked down 597 Casablanca jobs so far from London alone (not counting random bux missions from elsewhere that I ferried in for delivery from London.

I plan on leaving my Pearjet in Boston and loading 5 flights to Phoenix, over a long time. My class 1 planes can handle making me money

    Bonus

I've been following this thread for almost a week now and this is my first post. So far I'm level 17 and have a route from Honolulu to Tokyo. I have 8 Pearjets going back and forth from LA to Shanghai, and 2 Birchcrafts on each end bringing layovers from the extremities (Tokyo and Honolulu). Some things I've learned while playing:

    1. Its most important to make sure all cargo/passengers are going to the same city on final arrival, not departure.
    2. As long as cargo/passenger is moving closer to destination in a reasonably straight line it will end in profit no matter how many layovers.
    3. Passing through a city to increase range does not slow the plane in the least if the path would go through the refuel city anyway.

Just a few tips. Gonna be focussing on the next global event tomorrow. Do you guys think they will ever put the event in a Class 2/3 City?

    Nope :p

Why else would we still have low-end planes in our high-level market?

    Ok, here's my situation:

Airports: Chicago, Toronto, New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Bogota, Recife and Lagos

    Planes: 1 Anan-C (planing to replace with a Mohawk), 2 Mohawk-Cs, 1 Mohawk-P, 1 Birchcraft-P, 1 Birchcraft-M, 1 Kangaroo-M, 1 Equinox-P, 1 Birchcraft-C and 1 Birchcraft-M

    I'm level 14 with 97k coins and 54 bux.

I want to get a Pearjet and open London as soon as I get the parts for it, but which kind should I get; P, C or M? Also, what should I do after I open London, expand east and close down my South American route, or keep it? I kinda feel like getting Lagos was a bad idea..

I like the M-classes for the transatlantic planes. Seems way easier to fill them in reasonable time. More flying = more $!

We discussed plane types and their advantages already and I don't feel like rehashing the whole thing. Basically, the only advantage of P or C planes is that, if you have a full fleet of them, all layovers will be of the same type and all planes will be capable of utilizing those layovers. M planes will never miss a special job or high bux job because they can't take the type. So you want either all C or all P (don't mix the two), or just go with M as its easier to manage and possibly most profitable considering bux conversion values. However as I've said before, you can make plenty of money playing without optimizing profits, so in the end you should build what appeals to you.

Level 12 now and I have 7 planes

    2x Airvan
    2x Kangaroo
    1x Mohawk
    2x Birchcraft

Expanding out of US now so I'm wondering how should I upgrade my planes. Should I just scrap the Airvans for Birchcrafts or wait for Pearjets instead?

    thanks

    I have all three (P, C, M) and havn't noticed much of a difference.

Also, what is the general consensus on pears vs aeros? I'm thinking pears keeping buxs in mind.

that extra slot on an eagle makes a big difference on a long trip's profit margin, IMO :)

Can I close Casablanca before the event is over and still get my prize?

Yes, as long as you have completed at least the five required deliveries.

Hmm true. What to do haha. I guess get a few pears, then a few eagles.

For anyone who has HNL, how much were the upgrades?

Don't omit the speed of the Pearjet. By my quick calculation it can complete 35% more trips than the aero in a specific time on a specific route.

I've just gone mental and bought tons of planes slots (I now have 51 plane slots) and my next plane slot would cost me 52,167,900 coins! I could still buy it but I think I'll be fine with 51. I only use 24 of them anyway.
