Birchcraft are very good! Now, I would save for New York and in the process, get rid of Detroit and possibly boston (because you'll be able to fly direct from Chicago to New York, so it's a wasted airport - that also means the jobs you receive will be more likely to fill a plane) You could even get rid of Washington (like I say, when you have new york, or nearly enough money and start closing them), because then you'd have a nice square between Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and New York. You'd make some tidy profit there
I just did that and I can go in a circle now with my Pearls. From LA to Rio to Lagos to London to NY. My Birchs go from Rio to Lagos too and if I wanna get crazy from Lagos to London
Sounds good, although circles are bad for profit because the jobs are based on straight line distance, not how long it takes to get there. E.G. I've got LA and New York, yet the profit from LA to Rio is a lot more than New York to Rio, because it has to divert through Lima. How many upgrades is it for a Pear to reach London from NYC? And how many for an Aero?
Fully upgraded range. I also fully upgraded the weight. Upgraded the speed too but not fully. Takes about 22 minutes I think.
IMO, if you're going to upgrade any jets, do the Aeroeagle as it is the top Class 2. I am also finding it is a good idea to upgrade your Class 3 airports so you can have plentiful amounts of passengers and cargo for you Class 3 jets. Then again, I'm only level 17 so I may be speaking too soon.
Sounds like a brilliant setup there O'Doyle. That's the kind of setup i'm looking to achieve in a few levels time. AT present just making my money from LA to Rio trips basically. I might try a similar setup with these routes: LA --> Rio LA --> Moscow Basically replacing your LA to NYC with LA to Rio
Does anybody know how exp gain is calculated? Is it 1 coin = 1 exp? And if so how much exp do I gain when I'm transporting Bux?
I take my Birchs all around that U shape I guess you can say. So every flight is straight and get about 1.8-2.5k each flight. Not to bad but I don't check all the time so it works great for me. I use 2 Pearls and go from Honolulu to London and Lagos and a FogBuster just to max profits on the side. Pearls take all 3 to make NYC to London
Think I might just hoard bux and coins over the weekend until I can reach a stage to attack the LA --> Moscow (or even Tehran to later do Beijing / Tokyo) and have 2 routes running from LA
I have a couple AeroEagles but not sure if I should get them going. I know they are heavy and don't know how much it will benefit since they only cover like 60 miles more than PearlJets... Anyone prefer Aeros over Pearls? I know its 1 more seat but its heavier and more expensive to upgrade all the stuff..
The amount passengers and cargo pay is based on the straight line distance between their origin and their destination, so if you have your airports arranged spread out in a line rather than all clustered together, fares you pick up at one end wanting to travel to the other end will pay a lot of money.
The Pearjet is the only one I've upgraded so far just so I can get over to London. I'm halfway through level 15 so the Aeroeagle is next on my list. Best get saving up those bux.
I've got a couple of Aeros in my Pear fleet the stats say they make a little more profit per hour than the pears, so I can't complain!
What you think I should do. This is what I got: AIRPORTS: -Honolulu -LA -Mexico City -New York -Chicago (Think I should sell this.. What you think) -Lima -Rio -Lagos -London PLANES: -3 Pearls -1 FogBuster -6 BirchCrafts (Get rid of couple of these and put my AeroEagles in?) * I have 76k and kinda wanna buy Tehran, thoughts?
I think Chicago is a bit pointless. Perhaps sell Chicago and buy Boston or Phili or Washington, in case New York goes down... Tehran would create a great route between that and Honolulu indeed! That's exactly what i'm going to do! I would replace the Birch too. I've got 8 Pear and 2 Aero and i'm making so much more money than I was with Birch.
