The only thing I don't really understand is events. I understand that the global event gives prizes based on what team you are when you perform 5+ jobs... but what else do you get? Is it better paid jobs? jobs more often? opportunity for rare stuff? Or just to add a bit of excitement to the game?
If your referring to global events then yes, I think you only get the prize plus bux. For the other events, I believe that you can buy that "event" airport, and then you get more passengers/cargo wanting to fly there, which means you will get more profit since there will be a lot of availability. Then obviously if its red it means its closed due to whatever.
So the jobs aren't worth any more, or anything like that - it's just those airports are more popular during that period, therefore it's worth doing?
The overall event has boosts in the amount customers pay to get to that airport as well as more opportunities for hauling cargo worth Bux.
Thanks for the info. I thought there must be something in the local events otherwise they would be completely pointless except for comedy value of what you transport. GOD I love this game. The last time I was this addicted to a game was Championship Manager 01/02 When your theory starts working, and things are going well it's brilliant - yet there's still SO much to do!
I can't confirm, but I would have thought you'll receive it when you next managed to connect to Game Center within the game - as long as the events were completed while connected, I guess.
Woot! Just discovered I could get my Pearjet from Tokyo to Karachi with a full (3x) range upgrade. Had to do this because Jakarta is closed due to thunderstorm. (was doing Tokyo-London via Jakarta to Karachi). It was costly but worth it in the long run when I cross the Atlantic.
Awesome. I've got a network game going with my housemate in FM12. Adds that little bit extra to the game! But THIS!!! I'm lvl 16 in 2 days, with an avg daily rev of nearly 500k. I need to put it down!
I think the step over to Lagos is a bad move (IMO anyway). Especially from LA. The route to get there isn't straight, so you lose a lot of profit. I would work down from LA to Rio though, because it's a very straight route, so if you do that gradually, expanding the distances between your airports whilst slowly closing and opening them you should do ok. i've found when you try to rush something, that's when things tend to fall apart a bit.
Damn that sounds like fun. No one else is into football the way I am though, but might have to get some of my buddies! Yeah this game is too much. I keep checking it, and I get excited not good.
