Lurking No More I have read most of this forum finding answers to my question and any answers I had for others were already posted. I am up to level 18 and I am tie for 9th place in the Casablanca event. Would like to add other flight crew members to my Game Center. My ID: RallyTruly Happy Vapor Trails Everyone!
Hmmm does the 25% bonus counts towards bucks? For example, 25% for 4 bucks = 5 bucks or just cash or nothing?
Here's some more useful data for calculating the flight distance between two cities. I use it to figure out if I can reach event cities from my main route before buying them. All the coordinates can be found in this google doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Ao8kxTI9_nAPdGVEX2hpbHZDcmtTZHk3T1FTVnN5M0E&output=html Take the coordinates between two cities and plug them into a simple distance calculator like the one found here http://www.basic-mathematics.com/distance-formula-calculator.html Example: Casablanca 5456 4124 Lagos 5808 4964 The distance between these two points is 910.7 miles. Super! My Kangaroo will just barely make it.
Taking an entire place full of passengers with bucks (so I received bonus) I actually made a profit on a flight. So you do receive some cash bonus for delivering all of the passengers (haven't figured out exactly how much yet)
Oh by the way, was the question about the update answered? I'd like to know if I should install the update too.
This was briefly discussed some 60 pages ago but I wasn't totally convinced of the answer. Would it be more effective in terms of layovers to completely neglect half of either passengers/cargo? I.e. an entire fleet of planes just devoted to passengers. That would make layovers much easier to keep track of and planes could always move the passengers on. Not sure cost/benefit analysis as potential loss on bucks jobs. I guess I'd probably choose to do cargo due to mystery parts for global events but wanted to know if anyone had seriously considered this idea
Well, I'm making a f**kton of money with the jumbo jets but it seems incredibly boring. I don't like having to close my class 3 airports in order to increase the number jobs for specific airports. Edit: On the plus side, flight times are much longer meaning I can check my iPad less.
Starting in the America's, I bought london after getting 3 fully upgraded range pearjets. Which airport should I get next towards the east of london. I have the pearjets mentioned (upgraded), 3 birchcraft, 3 kangaroo and 1 airvan non upgraded
Starting in the the western America's, I bought london after getting 3 fully upgraded range pearjets. Which airport should I get next towards the east of london. I have the pearjets mentioned (upgraded), 3 birchcraft, 3 kangaroo and 1 airvan non upgraded. Also how many plane slots should I have at level 15
I think the 25% bonus for jobs that pays in bux are calculated on the basis of 500 coins = 1 bux, so a 2 bux job (equivalent to 1000 coins) will give you a 250 coin bonus.
I went Istanbul, Karachi, Bangkok and Tokyo. All 4 with 10million population and you can easily branch out to nearby Class 1/2 airports for the events.
I just have my whole fleet doing the whole job. Whether or not it's the most efficient, I don't know, but it seems to do well for me. I have basically a straight line route from LA --> Mexico City --> Lima --> Rio. Lets say a plane leaves LA. If I can fill it and get bonus to Rio, i'll just do that. If I can't, i'll fill as many as I can to Rio, then the rest with drop-offs to Mexico and/or Lima STOPPING at Lima. Lima then becomes the Layover hub for LA --> Rio. The ones that go straight to Rio, try to do the same coming back to LA. IF not, they drop off at Mexico for the Layover for Rio --> LA. The ones that drop off at Lima, i'll just do a little run to Rio with whatever I can cobble together and repeat coming back! This way, you're still maximising as much profit as possible even when you can't do a full run. Then, when your layovers are full, you just focus on them for a few runs. With a fleet with 5 x Birch and 5 x Pear, it makes about 30-35k an hour according to the profit / hour stats, depending on bux in with all that.
