I just upgraded Istanbul to level 2. The layover increased from 20 to 40 and I have 50 passengers/cargo currently after a new jobs change. 14 is from layovers. Next upgrade is 153k.
A provisional plan for my airline: *Some Birchcraft-Ms in the US, going from New York to Honolulu and Los Angeles (and another airport in between if they can't fly far enough). Two Aeroeagle-Ms flying between New York and London. Some Birchcraft-Ms in going from London to Jakarta via class 3 airports where possible. *Some Kangaroo-Ms going from Jakarta via Broome to Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand. Plus some Kangaroos to wherever the global event is. The ones marked with * are the ones that will be picking up new passengers and delivering them to their final destinations, the rest will mainly deal with layovers. I've got a less tidy version of this layout going at the moment, without New Zealand or Honolulu, and with fewer Birchcrafts, more Kangaroos, a couple of Mohawks and a Pearjet. It's working fine so far, I don't want lots of cities close to each other because I don't want to have to keep checking it every 5 mins. I think basically there are a lot of layouts that are profitable, you'd have to really screw up to not be making any money at all.
NEW 1.03 UPDATE should i download this update for pocket planes? I mean is there a possibility that Nimblebit manipulated the chance rate in getting BUX, both in the delivery job or catching during the flight.... They did it in Tiny Tower, so why not in Pocket Plane?? Any other suggestions cons/pros about updating to 1.03 version would be greatly appreciated
How am I supposed to make layover money (LA to Tokyo) with the jumbo jets*? Are they supposed to sit and wait at the airport while waiting for jobs to refresh and shuttles to arrive? *-10 capacity planes
Thank you so much for posting this chart, it helps put things into perspective. I was thinking about getting a Mohawk for these special events, however now it seems like a poor choice compared to the Kangaroo I am using. (Casablanca is my first event and I'm just making do with what I have. I'm saving up to be better prepared for future events. I'll try to replace my Airvan with another Kangaroo dedicated to just these events) I bought Bangkok yesterday so that my Birch could make the hop from Karachi to Jakarta. I just discovered that my Birch stops there, it can't make the hop from Jakarta to Syndey. I thought I saw someone mention (can't recall exactly where among the hundreds of pages here lol) that a Birchcraft with "1 upgrade" will be able to do Jakarta to Sydney. Any ideas what "1 upgrade" meant? Does that mean upgrading range one time? Or does it mean upgrading range, speed and weight each one time? Trying to get an idea of how much Bux I'll need to spend to upgrade all my Birches for this Jakarta-Syndey hop. I'm tempted to spend Bux (very easy to do), but I'm trying to hoard them so I'll be prepared for class 3 planes when they unlock for me.
You need all three range upgrades to make NY to London on a Pearjet. That's been my direct route for a couple of days now, LA -> NY -> London. Now trying to decide the next best class 3 port to make my way towards Tokyo by maximizing my range with the Pearjet. Close tie between Moscow and Tehran, although I would assume Moscow is closed more often?
spare parts just hit level 7 and joined the toucharcade flight crew. this game is fun but still trying to figure out the best way to make money. what is the most efficient plane to have at my level? anyone have any spare parts to give up? Thanks! gc name is crul2bkind

I'm definitely considering it yes! At present got 5 Pear and 5 Birch. I really don't see the benefit to having any other aircraft, at this stage in my game, with the airports I have. Tried temporarily to have some class 1 feeders into my end-routes, but it a) confused matters and b) just meant less jobs were available for the main routes.
I personally would take Tehran since it gives you a lot more options when the events move too, along with greater options of cities. I currently have Moscow, and I feel like it would be inconvenient to go east from there
Is it better to just upgrade a pearjet to get from London to NY or should I wait until level 16 to make the transatlantic flight?
I was wondering if I was to leave a Flight Crew and join another would I lose all the jobs that I have done? and I'm looking for P-40 parts message me I can send complete plane sets for them (AeroEagle, PearJet, ect...).
I have one full range upgraded Pearjet atm going from NY to London, and despite what a few others on here have said about flight costs on the Pearjet, it's actually my most productive craft. My other planes are Birchcrafts. I'm considering extending my route to go straight from London to Honolulu. I'm still on the fence about it though, anyone think this is a good investment, or would it be better to spend the coin on upgrading Los Angeles?
