Close, but not quite. I think it will take just one upgrade to be honest, i've just not done it yet because i'm thinking about going the New York / London route
The equinox has a higher speed so it costs more in fuel to travel the same distance. But it will get you there faster so you could make more if you check your planes more often. Here are the numbers I came up with the profit per 1000 mile trip with a fully loaded plane (without any upgrades) after subtracting fuel costs. The fuel cost for a 1000 mile non-stop flight and one with stops is the same. The numbers are with and without the 25% bonus. Planes can only be bought with Bux. Your airports are too close together. I think you make more $$ by establishing the longest routes possible. Ideally cities should be space at the maximum range of your aircraft. I am playing in Europe and in the early stages tried to create a long north/south route and a long east/west route. Trondheim and Bergen are very close to each other. Why not shut down Trondheim and open up Lulea? Similarly Prague is unnecessary with Berlin just to the north and Munich to the south. Venice is also near Munich and Begrade, maybe swap it out for Naples or Athens which are further south. I would also look to push further south, opening up Barcelona and Madrid. For east/west, Manchester is cheap until you can afford London. Kiev might be good until you can afford Moscow.
In case anyone is wonder, its 70 bux to make a PearJet useful, by useful I mean being able to fly from North America to Europe and earn maximum profit. So save up 70 bux before you attempt to get a PearJet.

I started getting rid of my one passenger planes as I could. Meaning getting the amount of bux neccessary to buy the parts and build the planes. As for joining the flight crew, go to the Flight Crew page from the menu, and type in TouchArcade in flight crew name. Voila! You're in!
Main Menu -> Flight Crew Button -> type toucharcade in the flight crew name, let it register you. Done.
Has anyone upgraded a class 3 airport? Do you notice that much of an increase in jobs? I'm thinking of upgrading (slowly) my class 3 airport and keeping my 5 airports so I can fill planes easier, and eventually be ready for the class 3 planes. I like keeping fewer airports so the jobs won't be as "diluted".
What do you all think is the best upgraded Class 1 airplane for doing events? Eventually I'll probably move to full Class 3 fleets/airports, but I'll still need some Class 1s for events.
