The maths say it will work though, as long as it's doing full bonus runs. 5 x 25% bonus should easily outweigh the extra flying cost, being as the weight is 1 per passenger still. I'll let you know.
I'm using three Pearjets to make my transatlantic from New York to London. I could probably convert to your North to South Americas layout for better profit, but for me I feel like being centered in Europe makes it easier to pivot to integrate future events wherever they may end up in the world (yes I know that I could just buy two cities and run the 5 jobs and drop the city)
No I think you're right in the long run. Eventually, the aim in the long run is to do flights from LA to Tokyo. That will mean getting rid of my Americas run, it's just that's the only runs I can do at present to maximise profit! When I have a full fleet of pearjets i'll get rid of the americas and do runs from LA to London, then Moscow etc. etc.
Any upgrades on the Pearls? You have any extra Birchcrafts? I have some of a C and haven't seen the part ALL day... Im still rocking 3 Kangaroos.. fml GC: ^ Douglas ^
I don't think it matters how long you're keeping hold of old planes. The game is pretty long overall, so there's no real rush! I'm waiting on my first pearjet now, and having awful luck with parts. No way i'm buying one outright!!
Yea no limit I just wanna get rid of the Kangaroos they are too slow.. But yea the parts and assembly of pearls are spendy for sure
The Pearjet with a full run makes about 400 coins more - plus it's nearly 100mph faster. I'm going with a whole fleet!
I've only got class 3 airports, and I do long runs between LA and Rio with class 2 planes. The earlier you can move towards class 2/3 airports the better, because when you have class 2/3 planes, they're the only airports they can use.
Has it fixed the bug where, if you receive a notification in the middle of doing something, it just takes you back to the airport screen?
Hmm so I'm at level 13 and I have 8 planes: 1 airvan for the event, 4 birches, 2 kangaroos and 1 Mohawk. I was wondering if I should replace my kangaroos and Mohawk with birches or should I just wait for the pearjets unlocking at my next level?
Well it is still good to have a mix. It is better to have some really far placed class 2/3 airports and run fully stocked jets between them. It also makes sense to have a few class 1 airports open near your route in order to feed passengers going to the bigger destinations. So if say you have Cairo as one of your jet stops but it never gets enough people going to Tokyo, then opening smaller airports near Cairo and laying over these people will help fill your jets and you can keep stock piling these layovers to the limit of your airport. Also don't forget that participating in the global events has so far been class 1 airports so if you take part in that you will need to keep some class 1 planes too.
Tough one - Upgrading your whole fleet to pearjets will cost 448 bux. I guess you could replace the kangaroos and mohawk with pearjets first, then take it from there.
The problem with this is, the more class 1 airports you have, the more your bigger airports will want to supply jobs to the class 1 airports - thus reducing the chance of having a full set of jobs the first time you look. I'm about to reduce my airports to LA, Mexico City, Lima and Rio (have NYC and Buenos Aires as well at present), and they will fill up my planes almost every time for the LA --> Rio route.
Advice? Hi all need a bit of help I've got the following airports La,NYC,Chicago,Mexico city,Lagos,London,Cairo, delhi,Guangzhou,Tokyo, class 3 Miami,Algiers, recife,Caracas, class 2 and casa for the event And my fleet is 3 pears,6 birchcraft and 1 roo. The problem is I can't seem to get any real money coming in Do I have to many airports? Not enough planes. Any help appreciated
