Thanks for the replies for the different aircrafts for higher levels! Great to see that i'm no where near the best aircraft so i won't upgrade all of my planes for now. As for profits... I'm pushing for further apart flights. Having 2 to 3 7 bux cargo or people in one flight is so profitable (New York to Japan), loads of xp and i only need to check one hour later. Now contemplating which of my favorite airports to upgrade.
75% of my planes stuck in London cuz of the thunderstorm... thank goodness it only lasts for 30 min total...
I feel the same, much easier to get a 25% flight bonus on C or P flights. Oddly, my three Equinox planes are my worst performers, doesn't matter whether it is C, P, or M. All three give ~1400/hour profit, while all my other planes are over 2000/hour. Any idea why these perform so badly?
I think it might be because the Equinox only has 3 capacity, so if you have a full load, you get less from the 25% bonus than say with a Birchcraft. Just my guess. I fund my Equinox weren't performing well either, and replaced ti with a Birchcraft.
Not sure, I have never used an Equinox. I went from Kangaroo to Birchcrafts. Maybe its because its only a 3 person load every time?
Correct! Especially if you are specialist in Bonus hunting. With same distance, larger capacity then you can grab more bonus. While I think mix with C/P is better for me to have bonus. Maybe it is the matter of luck
Interesting, I think you're right about that. I only kept the Equinox because my Birch can't make the jump from Karachi to Jakarta ... but I don't think that's a problem anymore since I just bought Bangkok which helps bridge that gap. I will probably phase out the Equinox and replace with Birches which seem to be pretty good workhorses. I like the Birches more than the Pearjets. My Pearjets seem to spend more time grounded while waiting for 5 going to the same city (cuz I lose money flying those without the 25% bonus, sigh). Right now, those Equinox are helping shuttle the high value P/C from Jakarta & Sydney who are going to Casablanca. I've made a little bit of progress today on our Global Event, it's slow going with the Kangaroo/Airvan moving them from Madrid to Casablanca, and I've had to deal with a backlog of layovers in Madrid. Some of my planes have been grounded in Madrid while waiting for a free spot to unload the Casablanca layover. Do you know whether we still "win" if we don't complete that green status bar all the way to 100% by the end of this? We have less than 2 days left and we're not even halfway done.
This is what I currently have for airports and am running almost all Birchcrafts right now. I was curious if it would be worth it to buy an airport in London and get a long range plane and run 1 long flight over the atlantic?
LOL I thought that we had to do a set number of jobs, and that green bar indicated how many we've done so far out of the total required. Let us know how it goes crossing the Big Pond. I haven't even thought about expanding from London toward New York. I doubt my Birch would make it across, and I'm a long way from being able to buy/build a Fogbuster.
Thats my problem.. I don't wanna lose all my bux just to experiment what to use.. I have Birch, Pearls, Aeros, Fogbuster and a Sequoia... I just wanna know what would make me the most money and just do it lol
I would suggest going the route I have... Phase out all your class 2 airports, and reach a point where you have ONLY the following: LA, NYC (or Chicago), Mexico, Lima, Buenos Aires and Rio. Then, run ONLY flights from one end of the route to the other (i.e. LA to Rio, NYC to Buenos Aires). If you can't fill a flight for a bonus, just fill it with anybody going to the other end and drop off in one of the 'hubs' (Mexico / Lima) for layovers. I'm making 3k+ an hour now on birchcrafts
Great view of my runs from one end of Americas to the other with layover hubs in Mexico and Lima for any flights that cannot be filled for bonuses.
6 Birchcraft and 3 Equinox (which I regret now). No upgrades to any of them. Just upgrading the hub airports to hold more layovers. Will probably phase out Equinox for Pearjet in a few minutes time for even more profit!
I ran Pearls for awhile and they are just so big and heavy to where you make the same profit if not worse than a Birch so I just put in hangar..
I'm even contemplating getting rid of New York and Buenos Aires so that my route is a simply line from LA to Rio, with the same layover hub set up. That will mean I can stretch across to Lagos eventually and just move the hub along.
Think i'm going to test the water with a pearjet as a plane simply for taking layovers from the hub to the end, which is a small journey for big profits. If it doesn't work out, i'll get rid - or upgrade the weight.
