Has everyone received their prize for the last global event? I still haven't. I did about 25 jobs for it...
iCloud syncing actually seems to work well in this game... well at least after an initial hiccup that wiped out the game on my iPhone with the game on my iPad, but hopefully that is fixed since then. And for me, since then it's been in sync. I seem to be able to switch back and forth. Yeah!
Help please Hi guys, been following this forum for a while, loving all the advice, never actually joined the forums until today, but I love how everyone will help others out no questions asked, by far the friendliest forums I've ever found. I'm in need of advice as I seem to have become stuck. I'm currently level 12, the airports I own are: Manchester London Brussels Berlin Prague Venice Athens Tripoli Algiers Barcelona Casablanca In Salah Cordoba Bordeaux and the planes I currently have in operation: Mohawk C Kangaroo P Kangaroo C x2 Airvan P x2 Navigator P x2 Wallaby P Anan C So basically I'd just like advice, cause I'm not sure where to go next and my progress is slowing right down. Thanks in advance, oh and I've also contributed over 100 jobs to the Casablanca event
I downloaded it back on to my iPad just now to test this out. Still doesn't synch for me, with everything switched on lol.
I think you've too many airports. Start closing some of the class one airports, use the money to buy class two/three.
I'd advise the same. I'm just about lvl 12 now and have no class 1 airports: New York (3) Chicago (3) Mexico City (3) Washington DC (2) Atlanta (2) Miami (2) Dallas (2) Guatemala (2) and only 8 planes. Seem to be making a good profit, and the airport spread gives me a) good bonus jobs and b) good distance. My advice would be to gradually make your way across a certain location. On your way, close your level 1 airports and the level 2 airports that are close to others. As your planes start to speed up and allow more range, your airports should start to span out with them.
Yeah, 3g and wifi. I deleted the Australia airports just before the event ended, so I'm wondering if that played a role... I had no issues with the first event prize. Thx
I deleted the Australian airports as soon as I did 5 events and I still got the prize, so that shouldn't be a problem. Good luck contacting Nimblebit! EDIT: Has anyone seen a mystery part during this event?
What's the best alternate airport to get between Los Angeles and New York when Chicago is snowed in? I already have Denver, but it's class 1, if you upgrade does it change to class 2? I was thinking St. Louis, but that's also class 1. Maybe Dallas or Detroit, but does Detroit get snowed in as much as Chicago?
What are people's opinions on how many airports you should have vs number of aircraft? I've now upgraded, and have the following: New York (3) Chicago (3) Los Angeles (3) New Mexico (3) Atlanta (2) Dallas (2) Miami (2) Guatemala (2) with these aircraft: Mohawk x 2 Birchcraft x 6 Would people suggest less airports to maximise the bonuses, or will that also reduce the number of flights as well?
I can't remember when you unlock Birchcraft, but I believe it is right around where you are at. Once I hit Birchcraft, I closed almost of my airports and scrapped almost all of my planes until I had nothing but Birchcrafts and a long spaced out route with only 3 or 4 Class 3 airports, netting me 3000+ profit for each ~1 hour flight between the far ends. Always prioritize bux, even if you are losing a little coin in the process. Eventually you will be able to fill out your entire fleet with Birchcrafts. I'm nearing level 18 and even with Pearjets and Aeroeagles available to me now, I have seen no compelling reason to switch up my strategy just yet. I am sitting on 800+ bux just waiting for the best planes to become available to me. For the events, there is really no reason to interrupt your main operation, just build an airport at the destination point and one class 2 or 3 city right near it and run one or two lower level planes between them nonstop (I have found the Kangaroo to be the best for the job). As a bonus, if the event happens to be close enough to your main operation, you can fly your Birchcrafts over to the neighboring city you built every once in awhile and drop off Mystery Parts/bux jobs to the event destination to help the process.
This has probably been asked before, So do I have to upgrade a level 1 (to level 2) airport to land level 2 planes? and, how much is it to re-open airports?
Wow! 800+ bux. Ok, I have 1 Birchcraft I think, but I may try this, plus I don't like having to check it every 5 minutes, I can't get anything else done! Thanks for the tip.
You can't upgrade the class of an airport, however I have found it very beneficial to upgrade the far-end class 3 cities in my operation to their max level (level 3) to make it that much easier to constantly have my birchcraft fleet flying jobs back and fourth. When you close (sell) an airport, you get half of the cost of the airport back. After that, it is as if you never built it in the first place, so it is the same price as it was before to open it back up again.
