Chillingo has a mixed past on the appstore, but as of late they seem to be refining their releases. This game looks good and the interface looks similar to another of their popular releases:Bike or Die 2. The reason for the title is hopefully now some of the other good golf games will be forced to compete by dropping their prices. Stay tuned.....;)

Yea, Chillingo was releaseing every idea they had, and badly. Not as bad as DS Effects, but still pretty bad.

    I've just purchased.

It plays just like the Palm version I got some years ago. Same courses I'd say.

    The graphics are better tho.

Now I have to play it more in order to give my final word about the game. :)

It looks like a complete port of a cell phone game graphically IMO

I'm digging it so far. Appears to be nicely done. 54 holes - but I've only played the first 7. Nice interface and controls.

    Finally pulled myself away

;)This game is what Hotshots would be like as a put-put game. I like the interface of menus, and the set-up of play. It is nowhere near as frustrating as Neverputt Me and way more fun than Par 72 and GL. It includes character selection and course custimization. Also, there are unlockables(there are little gold stars hidden around some of the holes). I would recommend this to those who like other mini-golf titles or lots of content and cartoonish graphics. I think it deserves 4 stars based on the ammount of course content and variety.

I really like this game. The controls are very easy to use and make an accurate shot possible. I prefer this game over Mini Touch Golf and Neverputt ME. It's fun!

    worth money?

But still do you think it is worth 2.99 as an introductory price?? I would get it for 99 cents. but 2.99 is a bit much, especially because I only have 3.91$ left in my account

Well, I love this type of game so I think it's worth the money simply because the graphics and the controls are so good. YMMV.

Not to get off subject, but $2.99 isn't really that much. I'm not sure where a majority of the people who visit the App Store got the idea that anything over $.99 cents isn't worth buying or is too expensive.

Let's put it this way: Would you as a developer rather get paid $.99 or $2.99? Especially after putting time and work into your game that you created? And compare that to some games for systems like the Nintendo DS or PSP where all titles are AT LEAST $10.

    Just saying. :D

Even if they did, that takes a good chunk of time. And I'm not sure... did they?

Even port may lead to a lot of code work, API study, graphics and sound updates. It's not easy at all.

I love mini-golf. Just the idea of it makes me giddy like a school-girl. :D

Maybe I'll cash-in on this game sometime soon.

Mmhm. And it may actually make it harder than just building it from the ground-up, as you're building it just for that device. Especially if what they ported it from is a completely different platform.
