It's one gem per run and you can only use the preloaded character and gear but you can shuffle cards. You almost always get at least one gem in a rub, I've never not gotten any anyway, your on,y loss will be keys but whenever they have the chest mine there is always the option to buy 100 keys at half price. I think you have 25 hits but there are a lot of chests, I use between ten and twenty keys per run depending on how deep I get. What I do though is load up the chest mine screen and buy a couple of key packs at half price (if you go to the regular shop page you will pay full price) then have one or two runs on the chest mine and keep the others to use in the regular mine with my chest opening load up as I get more rarer gear and cards. But yeah, it's not a loss like the gem one is and you can always recycle the crappy gear, so if it's costs one gem to play that mine and you end up with a lot of cubes from recycling the crap it's not too bad either.
I tweaked loads for this one and I ended up completing with Dan, helm - 45 % more powerful explosions! gloves- 80% more powerful grenades feet- 60% more grenade crates And cards, pick durability fully maxed, super bomb half maxed, super grande half maxed and had ten hits at the end. It's been the better for depth I've used yet, and when I've maxed those cards it will be better
Do you have any strategy to getting great gear? I have the same cards though 1-2 levels lower on each but my equipment is still lackluster. I was doing crafts of purple equipment but 2 days ago I switched to crafting legendary gear. I have 93 of ~267 and I've been trying to get the epics before switching to the next mine. Is that the best way? Also is that equipment set the best I can do? My other equipment includes Head- 60% more bombs Arms - 40% more powerful grenades, 40% more grenade crates, 50% more crates, 50% more shuffle explosives Shoes -60% more bombs, 50% more crates.
Stupid question - where can I find the options to earn rubies this way? I haven't seen "...or watch an ad" since about the first week I played. Extra rubies sure would help beat level 5 of Fairy Tale land.
You go to the buy ruby icon and then scroll right down and there is a free rubies button. For watching vids there a re little present boxes dotted around, one is right at the bottom of the level select screen, tap on that then a vid loads, or you can tap on the energy button and have an option to watch a vid for one energy instead.
For me personally I tried to get through the mines, and then went back for artifacts once I'd gotten as far as I could, playing through had earned me more rubies I could buy better characters and got better gear in crates and double artifacts. Which then helped me go back to the more difficult mines. I on,y ooen chests with a specific character now unless the chest is in the way and it will cost a lot of hits to go round it. I've only ever crafted legendary gear with my cubes as it's a lot of cubes to craft the gold cards, all my blue cards are maxed, many of my purples ones are maxed so I'll use them if they have better stats and switch to gold ones once I've gotten more. But crafting the plain ones are only 40 per time and they do make a difference in the early stages. For dan, some prefer using treasure crate gear as it doesn't damage your pick. You could try using that more powerful grenade crate with cards that compliment it, such as extra grenades and more grenade crates. There are some load ups posted on previous pages which help give you ideas.
Who should I buy next? I currently have Jane (more/rarer artifacts) Demo Dan (spawns grenades) Knight Penny (rarer gear)
I have those three and sassy as she can still break all the crates and dirt after the pick has ran out (I use her for artifacts with Jane) and the Indian man I think he's called taziz? As he often drops two items from chests.
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have those options. Only items when I press +energy or +rubies are the purchasable packs. Ditto no red package on any screen I've found. Ver. 1.5.0.1 from Amazon app store running on a tablet. Level 54.
I have tmi e from google play, would that be an option for you? If you have you game synced with Facebook then you shouldn't lose any progress. Another way round would be to install tapjoy and it automatically detects qualifying apps, you can then click on pocket mine and the available offer/rewards will show. I just checked through the tapjoy app and I've earned over 300 rubies from the tapjoy offers
Thanks for this and the tapjoy suggestion below. I thought that might be the case, but thought the first version I installed had the "watch an ad" option. Since I've linked to FB (saved my progress from being wiped during the latest Amzn update! phew!), it'll be easy to grab the Gstore version. Love this game edit: Migrated to Gplay, linked up to FB, back in action. As a free-gamer, I appreciate the value of connecting with friends and having these options to gain currency w/o $$. Great game experience without paying a dime.
I got a great helmet today, so this is my current second chest opening load up. Image didn't work grr. It's head, 140% more chests..... Hands boost rarity if cards by 15%. Feet. 120% more chests 60% more drill crates. It have gloves with 100% more chests but chose the card rarity instead.
Just got 80k$ with this setup. BTW devs, is it possible for that gear that says +3-4 more drills hit to also affect explosive drills? Thanks
Here's the set up I used to beat Fairy Tale 1. Clear to see this isn't extreme gear or cards as far as level or bonus % (crafting the more grenade crates [white card] up is relatively cheap and effective). Remember treasure crates are like free hits = free grenades with Demo Dan.
Did anyone notice the crates increase? I do find more explosive drills and grenade crates while I work my way down. Sometimes the explosion can extend to reaching 100m. With the same load out I am able to beat my personal best xD ... on some dungeons
Yep, sorry there was an issue with artifacts in the Fairy Tale #1 mine earlier in the weekend, and was fixed later on. Don't worry, "Tower" events come back every weekend of the month, so you'll get other chances to get those artifacts.
