Developers of Pocker Legends releases game on Android first? wtf...

Star Legends MMORPG has been out for slightly over 24 hours in a limited beta and already the crew over at Spacetime Studios has released the third patch for the game. While mostly containing bug fixes and improvements to existing features (as you would expect with a beta), there are some new sounds for emotes as well.

They've said that they're actually making more money from Android players than iOS for Pocket Legends, so this makes sense to me. They can probably stagger the releases on the more fragmented Android hardware, too -- it was only on a particular Verizon Droid for the beta. When they go on the Apple App store, they'll need to have their server backend ready to go because it's going to be a big KABOOM. I'm looking forward to this even if it's just a reskin of Pocket Legends, because I prefer the sci-fi vibe to the Tolkeiny fantasy world.

It's OK to have to wait for a MMO like this, because they only get better as time goes on. Pocket Legends is way different now from when it launched.

Sounds good to me... use the Android market as a disposable beta team then release the complete game on the App Store.

It's actually playable on any Android running 2.2 and above. I'm in it and don't have a Droid or on Verizon.

I was one of the people on DroidGamers who did interviews with them and the main reason for this is because the Markets are more liberal on Android and they make more money off of in app purchases, and off of ads through Android. Every time they would like to make an update to the Beta client on iOS they would have to submit it and then wait and hope Apple is timely in getting it to the end user. On Android it is like a six hour window so its much easier to control updates.

My only issue is that those who Beta the game continue to keep their characters and items.
