It's definitely not official. Even the "Info" page on that Facebook account is pretty clear about that ("Kairosoft was named after the owner Mr.Cairo. This page is for all Kairosoft fans!"). "Mr. Cairo?"
Unless you have something more than your declarative statement and a dislike of referring to the founder as "Mr. Cairo" to back up your position, I'd avoid such absolutes as "definitely". There is nothing I can find that says it's anything other than official. It may or may not be, plenty of fake official pages on FB, but "definitely not official" without some sort of corroborating evidence seems like pure "pulled it out of my butt" speak.

If you don't believe me, shoot Kairosoft an email ([email protected]) to ask them directly, like I did. That Facebook page is 100% fan-made.
Got it working yesterday with their temporary solution. There is still one problem though: In my first game, I had 3 Parking Lots. In my new game, all the facilities are gone, but when I try to build a Parking Lot, even though the message box says I have none, there's an untranslated button that seems to say that I'm already at the max amount. So where it should have 2 buttons (Yes / No), there's only 1 untranslated button and it won't build the parking lot. But after a couple of tries, I managed to build it by touching where the Yes button should be... I hope the patch corrects this bug too because using this trick, I've been able to build more than 3 of the same facility.
I really like this game that Kairosoft just put out. I can't seem to put it down but no suprise there since I can never seem to put any Kairosoft games down.
Yeah I find it funny they just completely ignore it. I'm pretty sure the graphics bug has been complained more than this save game bug. I think they want to say "Apple told us to tell you to all go and buy iPhone 4S/iPad 2 to support our wallets and stop supporting older devices", but they don't want to appear like a bunch of asses, so they choose to just remain silent.
Uhh, what? Kairosoft doesn't get money from iPhone/iPad sales, why would this matter to them one bit? They're a japanese company. You can complain all you want, but English isn't their native language, so maybe they aren't trying to screw you over, but instead don't understand? Or maybe, as is evident in the past, they are TERRIBLE at PR, are working on it, and just haven't said anything?
I think that their post is basically a workaround for the save game bug, until the update goes live on the App Store. The graphic glitches probably can't be fixed that way (i.e. there's no "workaround") which would be the reason they don't mention it. I guess we'll have to wait for the update to see if they fixed it or not.
I think a total of 50 posts (from FB, Kairospot, and appstore reviews) saying the same thing over and over again is a pretty clear indication of a problem. And also, it's obvious to me that they at least have a few people who are decent at English...their Twitter is very fluent, FB is decent, and their translations are almost perfect. So yeah, really awful PR and lack of communication.
Just downloaded an update which I'm thinking addresses the iodine mentioned here. I have a bug in Gran Prix Story that I wish was fixed, when I lock the screen orientation in landscape if I close the app and resume my game later it always puts it back into portrait mode and it is still locked. Pretty damn annoying and I don't think it has ever seen an update.

Actually if you check out their official Japanese page it mentions there that the founder was a Mr. Cairo too. As far as I know this FB page is their official one. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kairosoft/140068069398428?sk=wall&filter=1 and the other game specific one's are fan made.
The official website mentions that the CEO and founder is named Kazuyuki Usui (http://kairosoft.net/corporate.html), and like I said above, they're not associated with the Facebook pages. They'll tell you that much if you ask them ([email protected]). But hey, you're free to believe what you want... It just saddens me when I see people getting pissed at Kairosoft because of whoever runs the Fakebook page deleted their post or was rude to them.
Anyone know how to upgrade facilities? My game seems to be missing the choice in the Team Management menu... UPDATE: After playing the game longer I realized I just had not unlocked the option yet.
